It's located in the centre of the souq and you do not expect to meet such a quite accomodation. The roof terrace is unbelievable. You have a perfect view on the medina and can enjoy the atmosphere. The Riad is about 400 years old and if you can have a look into the owners part. The stuff including the owner is very helpfull and friendly. It's a little bit hard to locate, but for sure you will find (or someone will find you..), who will guide you to the Riad.

The location was quite central to attractions in the medina The rooms were very basic. We stayed in the most expensive room (labelled a suite!), and were told by the owner that the room was the best they had. But the renovation was carried out in very cheap printed tiles and stucco; the room was very small; the bed was small for a double bed; the bathroom was very basic and plain; and there was no hot water in the morning - not even warm. The room was advertised as a suite, on what basis I cannot imagine, as I thought it was small even for a double room, which were advertised in Riad Atika for 30% less than the suite. The double rooms must have been tiny. Furthermore, the establishment was not a true Riad. There was no courtyard (a hallmark of a Riad), and only a partial light well. Perhaps Dar would be an appropriate name. Certainly potential customers should not imagine that it will be anything like as nice as the real Riads that we have stayed in in other places. Finally, the breakfast was barely adequate. It was just bread (one type), coffee and a juice. All the other Riads that we have stayed at for a similar price make at least some attempt at an interesting breakfast with a variety of breads, cakes pancakes, and usually eggs. Not so, Riad Atika. Cut up bread sticks is it. Symptomatic of the Riad Atika approach is the way the tablecloths at breakfast are covered in a thick protective layer of plastic. The focus everywhere is on what is best for the owners, not the guest!

Friendly owners and beautiful, clean roons. Jacques made our stay special with his enthusiastic sharing of knowledge about everything from the medina to Moroccan history. A bit chilly in the morning but understandable given the historic old building. ...it means it will be nice and cool in summer.

The location is great, the enterior is great too, but that is where good things end. The owner of the riad shouted and yelled at me and also threatened me with a police because I invited a friend to see the riad because he has never been in one.His wife agreed to let him, then later I do not know what happened. He did not appologize!!!But he did say that maybe he crossed the line.Definitely, that accident ruined my whole stay! Also, since I was the only guest in a riad, the wife Atika seemed to appear out of nowhere everytime I exited the room!As if she was afraid that I would steal or ... Really unpleasant feeling.Like they have hidden cameras inside!

This was our first Riad in Morocco, and was an excellent surprise. It has a great location, close to all the main attractions, but the real story here is about the quality of the rooms and decor in the Riad itself - we were simply stunned when the owner showed us around the other empty rooms in the Riad and up onto the terrace. The place is palatial! This was the best value place we stayed in our tour of Morocco. The owner and staff were very polite, and gave us a tip for dinner that turned out to be one of the standout meals of our time in Morocco.

Great decoration of the hotel, like a palace. The room was very comfortable, especially the bathroom. Shower with big and warm hot water and doors so no flood in the bathroom. Owner was very friendly and more than helpful. He came to search for us as we could not find our way to the hotel, which is located in the heart of the old city. The restaurant he recommended was also great! Excellent food for a small price. The date he treated us was the best I've ever tasted in Morocco. I should have asked him where he got those. Breakfast could be more varied.

Jacque and Atika were lovely and very helpful, explained lots about the Riad etc. Lovely Riad, nice, quaint room. Awesome roof terrace! As there are no external windows the internal windows only have sheer curtains, so at night you can totally see into the room. There were a couple of guys outside on the internet and I felt a little exposed as a solo female traveller. The maid perhaps goes a little too far to make you feel at home, she took all my toiletries out of their bags and lined them along the mirror, and put my shoes in the cupboard (which I wasn't using). I almost left them behind! (expensive runners too!). Just keep an eye out for your stuff being moved around the room and take inventory before you leave, as it may have been moved somewhere you'd never think to look. I think her heart was in the right place.

this is a very interesting 400-year-old building in the heart of the Meknes medina. After visiting Fes I found the city of Meknes rather disappointing, but Riad Attika was splendid. There are so many different nooks and crannies to the place. The owner took me on a tour up to the roof where you can see over the old city. Everything was squeaky clean, and the breakfast was lovely. The place has tons of atmosphere which is just what I like.

It was a new experiance for me to stay in Dar not a hotel, and this is unique in Moroco, I do not know if this is found other countries. I liked the staff, very nice, the room, clean, inside the old city, nice view in the roof of the Dar, you can see all Meknas. There is no tv, and to me that was good, No room service, you have to know that the location is inside the old city, where car can not enter. You car have to be parked outside and you will walk thru the narrow old streets of the old city for about 5 minutes.

This riad was our first stop on our Morocco trip. After a rather inhospitable welcome to the country, arriving at this riad was a very comforting way to end our first day. Jaques was very friendly and helpful and the decor was beautiful. Also a very good location and only a 5 minute walk from the Medina entrance.

Jacques was very helpful especially considering I was suffering from food poisoning during my stay at this riad. He prepared herbal teas and a plain breakfast for me which was much appreciated. Room was very spacious and comfortable. The shower had a strange smell. Was probably just the drain but was quite strong
