Located in the Marrakech Medina, Riad Ghali is a 2-minute walk from Jamaâ El Fna Square and a 10-minute walk from the Koutoubia Mosque.
Score from 304 reviews Exceptional
The Riad is located in Marrakech, 10 minutes from the Place Djamaa el Fna. It features an outdoor swimming pool and a gourmet restaurant in the heart of the Medina.
Score from 226 reviews Very good
This Riad is located in the heart of Marrakech’s Medina, a 10-minute walk from Jeema El Fna Market. It offers guest rooms, which open onto a flower-filled courtyard and a swimming pool.
Score from 30 reviews Wonderful
Located in Marrakech Medina, Riad Bab Agnaou offers a hot tub, terrace and traditional Moroccan lounge. Jemaa El Fna Square is a 10-minute walk away.
Score from 43 reviews Wonderful
The riad is very close to the square, 10 min walk, when still in very quiet and safe area. The owner and Sahid, who looked after us most of the time are wonderful people, Sahid was very helpful, sorted out tickets for bus to Agadir, gave few good tips and advices. The Hammam reccomended by hotel is worth a visit too. Our breakfast was very decent, served between 8-11, but there is no problem to request it for another hour if you leave early morning. Our room was on the last floor, a quite small, but clean and comfortable enough for few days stay. Was usefule to have teracce few steps away.
The bed could be a bit more comfortable, but overall everything was good.
great location, easy to find once you're there. great breakfast and dinner though you have to order in advance. we've been offered Moroccan salads and desert free of charge.
the wifi didn't work on the second floor. a little expensive, we stayed in much nicer riads for the same money
So very very comfy! Slept brilliantly. Breakfast was lovely and varied each day. No problem to have breakfast on the terrace, but when you ask for it it will take about half an hour. Staff were always helpful and friendly, although as there was only one person on at a time we didn't quite get the same service as our 12 friends who stayed elsewhere and would get escorted out by someone from the riad. That said, when we asked to be guided to a restaurant some local boys were commissioned to take us and it only cost 20 dirhams for their services and they were lovely, even coming back to collect us! Riad Aubrac is in a great location with very friendly locals all around, nice cafes and restaurants and several hammams only minutes away. As two girls travelling alone this was lovely for us. I totally recommend this Riad!
All the staff were lovely but it could be said that Aubrac lacked a personal touch if you are looking for true Moroccan hospitality. This could be a positive or negative depending on how you like to holiday, this suited us. The riad was tricky to find when the shops are shut, we got lost a few times and on a Sunday evening the route to the riad is VERY crowded with locals shopping as this is the less touristy side of the Jemma El Fna. However, bear in mind the medina is a maze and having been to Marrakech 5 times now I always manage to get lost. And my bum pinched but that's par for the course!
Great location friendly staff beautiful furnishings and great breakfast each morning
Friendly local staff, home cooked food, the fact that nothing was too much trouble. We arranged to be met at airport which was definitely to be recommended as hard to find at first, although only 5 mins walk to the main square and great location for visiting main sights and souks. A haven of calm after a day's sightseeeing and a real insight into Moroccan culture. Thank you to Kaoutar, Said , Isa and Rachida.
Location, cleanliness, comfort, the breakfast, the mint tea.
We could hear when someone was flashing the toilet but this apparently seems to be the case for most riads.
We were the only people staying so it was lovely to have access to all terraces. The decor is just lovely, seems to be well maintained and not tacky. Staff were very helpful.
Didnt know our luggage would be taken from taxi and put in cart by man to take to riad down some very narrow and poor looking alleys. If we had been warned it would have been exciting rather than worrying. Breakfast was nice but had to ask for some eggs rather than just lots of breads every morning.
The staff was very kind at every time. Very clean. Location. Quiet.
The room on the second terrace was a bit small with no door in the bathroom. Wifi from the room doesnt work properly. Water from shower changes to cold to hot and hot to cold. Impossible to find by yourself.
* great localization (Medina, 5 min walk to El Fna squere) * very helpful and nice personel * Marrocan design * delicious food
+ we found the riad a very nice place to stay, very calm and with very friendly staff + breakfast enough and varied during the 4 days of our stay + the riad is in a perfect place to visit the main market (Jemaa el-Fna), but also the souks if you are also interested in the surroundings of Marrakesh, make sure to take a quad trip (there are a dozen possibilities online to check and book)
there was only one negative point: - the wifi reception was very poor in our room, and also on the roof Don't be scared and get second thoughts on the way to the Riad when the porter leads you through streets you would never ever go into alone, everything will change as soon as you enter the Riad ;o) => but make sure to prepare yourself for the "heavy" air, full of petrol fumes all around the medina
The staff were fabulous and incredibly helpful; the location fantastic and the facilities all you could need. The decor was beautifully put together too - it had an authentic feel but with a slightly contemporary touch - would stay again.
The only complaint would be the very firm beds. WiFi sometimes patchy but not a big deal -it's a holiday!
the towels were not white though they were supposed to be white
We have loved our stay in this Riad. Decoration is lovely, staff very helpfull and friendly, rooms and bathroom are clean and the terrace is stunning! It is very quiet and you can't hear anything but the birds in the morning. Breakfast was very good as well and location is perfect. 5 minutes from Jmaa el Fna square. First time could be tricky to find, as almost every Riad in Marrakech, but once you find it is very easy come back. It is good to arrange the transfer from the airport the first time you visit the city.
Bed could have been more comfortable.
Very friendly staff, they gave me an upgrade to the suite on arrival (which is always a bonus!), the breakfast was hearty, traditional and different each day and both the room and the common areas were very clean. The neighborhood is close to all the action (souks and the main square), but at the same time quiet as it is located in a back alley (which is difficult to find the first time, so make sure you get a taxi from the airport).
The wifi signal was fairly weak in the rooms.
Hard to find but for €15 pp can arrange for transfer from airport, train or bus.
Location was great - in a quiet alley but still close to a craziness of Jemaa el Fna. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. They even managed to find a glass of wine for my birthday. The food was delicious, especially tajine (has to be ordered in advance). The room was perfect. The bathroom was spacious, clean, and well supplied with amenities, even a bathrobe! My favorite was a terrace. Lovely decorated, on 2 levels with very comfortable sofas and chairs, and the wonderful view over Marrakesh.
Staff were excellent and the whole calming experience after tge bustle outside. An oasis of tranquility.
Staff most helpful and friendly. Kaoutar arranged everything we asked for and made sure we were looked after. Nice and quiet place to stay be it for a night or longer. Definitely recommending.
Excellent accommodation and staff located very close to the main square. Breakfast was amazing. Don't think we could have found a better place to stay.
The tours we booked were more expensive than other people on the tour paid. Also not having a receipt for them caused a lot of confusion on the day.
We loved everything, the wonderful, peaceful atmosphere, the excellent breakfasts, the friendliness of the staff, the comfortable and spacious room, the lovely roof terrace and the fabulous meal we had up there with views over the whole city. It was truly an oasis of calm and beauty in the midst of the hubbub of Marrakech. I would love to return to it. We did have some trouble finding our way back to it but managed to get our bearings quite quickly!
Nothing to dislike!
Riad Aubrac's greatest asset is their staff. Their discreet, quiet presence was the epitomy of calm in our oasis from the outside mayhem. We enjoyed a delicious 3 course evening dinner on the rooftop terrace with excellent service even allowing us our own bottle of wine. Great value for money for a home cooked meal.
Easy going but efficient - especially transport and essential practicalities.
The recommendation for a nearby Riad for food was a disaster! Though I am sure their own food is good.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was brilliant. The room was perfect. It was calm and peaceful. The terrace was beautiful
Internet was not very strong in the room.
There are no words to describe how beautiful this experience was! From the staff at the riad, to beautiful traditional rooms, decoration and amazing breakfast, we loved it all! Everything at more than fair price! The riad is really beautiful, it's located only 5 minutes walk from Jemaa El Fnaa and it's not that hard to find it compared to some other places in Medina… The staff made us feel like royalty and I'm not exaggerating… I hope we'll be back and we'll be happy to stay there again.
The only tiny minus is internet connection which was poor. I'd say don't bother use internet while being in such an amazing city, but we needed it once a day for our work related stuff, so we missed it. But when on holiday, I'm sure it's not that big of deal not to have it...
