Dar Pamella features traditional Moroccan architecture and décor with a rooftop terrace and elegant rooms.
Score from 120 reviews Excellent
In the heart of Marrakesh, this riad is just a 10 minute walk from the Koutoubia and the Royal Palace.
Score from 81 reviews Very good
Inside Marrakech’s medina (historic quarter), this riad features an outdoor terrace with views of Koutoubia Mosque.
Score from 276 reviews Excellent
Located a 5-minute walk from Jemaâ el-Fna Square, this traditional riad features a patio, a garden and a terrace.
Score from 194 reviews Very good
Not in the Medina, and in a dodgy area. Very noisy (lots of traffic on the road in front off) Spent two nights in a different room each. Air conditioning (heating) not working in neither of them, staff provided duvet upon request for the first night, but forgot to provide in the other room for the second night...
Great owners and staff! Beaufiful Riad! Breakfast was nice, especially when it was Moroccon.
Rooms need more ventilation/airing.
Warmth and hospitality of staff. Clean rooms with good air con and comfortable beds. 20 minute walk from Jemaa El Fnaa. Good breakfast. Beautiful decor.
Wonderfully decorated historic riad. Very nice and helpful staff.
Shower could be better, and the size of the room for 4 was a bit small.
No TV available either on rooms or living area no celebration for the new year
Very nice people, very clean, beautiful old house
Far from the place, very noisy street, room for four people was too small
Beautifully decorated oasis and very easy to find and direct taxi's to! Amazing staff and facilities. I was very happy and would come again!
Walk to the square was about twenty minutes but a taxi for 5 people only cost us 40Dhs one way so no big deal!
from the outside didn`t look much but hidden palace on the inside, staff friendly with lots of advice on sightseeing, bartering Azziz would happily grab us a taxi and barter a price before we drove off.
Nice breakfast the first day, but just bread the 2nd?not sure why.
The only positive thing was the staff ( especially Aziz, who helped us very much) but he was leaving the hotel this week!
I can not recommend this hotel to anybody especially to families with young children. There is no window in the rooms ( like a cave), breaksfast is very poor and lots of people noise since the hotel is very small. I booked here because of the good comments but I could not believe the hotel is so different! Photos are misleading...
Stuff moved out rooms without asking, money missing from room, tours set up through riad that were of poor quality and tourist scams, tried to overcharge at the end.
Inside the old city, with very nice decoration inside Riad (hotel), excellent reception by the manager Mr Aziz, very clean, friendly staff, prompt response, and good services
We arrived to find this Riad is next to a busy road. We left our bags there to return later to check in as we arrived before check in time. However, when we came back no one was present. After several phone calls and contact booking, com someone came to open the door. We later realised that no one actually stays on the premises as it is a such a small Riad. One morning the water was cold so we had to have a cold shower, it was repaired later. The Riad is a good 20 minutes walk from Jemaa El Fna and not the ten minutes as advertised. The owner was rude on the phone when I complained about the problems. He even tried to justify the problems by saying that this is Africa!
The staff were very good and Aziz was charming very helpful. He did his utmost to accomodate us and nothing within his capabilities was too much trouble and the staff were very flexible and kind. The room that we had was very nice and clean with access to fresh air. A little more storage would be beneficial but generally very nicely decorated. The decor in the entrance and the stairs was very tasteful and beautiful.
I can't say we didn't like the breakfasts but a) they were carbs and sugars, not good for my diabetic husband, and b) the breakfast was exactly the same everyday, evrn when we asked for something different like eggs for example. We would have been happy to oay for anything extra but it was not forthcoming.
The family liked
Comfortable hotel, nice location, wonderful friendly staff
Aziz was really welcoming and he did an amazing job at being our host. He also speaks spanish so it was great to talk to him. He maintains the Riad super clean and organized. I recommend this place.
We liked everything.
They were very friendly and helpful. They helped us to find very good citizen deals, and gave us many advises about where to go and how much is a fair price - which is very important info in Marrakech. The hotel is in a excellent location, with very good breakfast, and friendly staffs.
Not applicable, we really enjoined our stay in this hotel.
Aziz and the staff were very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They were also willing to arrange transportation with very short notice. Breakfast was provided no matter how early or late we requested. Aziz gave us his personal phone number and we could call him anytime with issues.
The toilets did not always flush. It is a 15-20 walk to the city center; however given that Marrakech is very hot, it is not easy to walk back and forth. If you are looking for something that is in walking distance, then I would suggest a closer Riad. The medina is very loud and busy so this is a good alternative if you prefer to stay somewhere quiet and take a taxi into the city.
Aziz (host of Riad) is amazing! From the moment we walked in, he made us feel welcomed and truly at home. Aziz took care of so many things for us. He recommended where to go, made our tour arrangements, he really made our stay flawless. Great value, clean, awesomely decorated. Excellent location, it is situated in a safe area, and it is at a short distance walk to the main square and other attractions. I highly recommend this place.
Great deal and staff lovely just needs the AC to be sorted. Real value
Aziz was brilliant catered for our every need and was great with the the kids, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were terrific and taken every morning on the rooftop terrace. Aziz sorted quality transportation whenever we requested it. The riad was clean and comfortable and was obviously a popular choice with a variety of international travellers. About a 25 minute walk from the square either following the road on the outside of the city wall or through the Kasbah, busier but far more interesting
Aziz is very helpful and friendly, great guy and always ready to help to make your stay pleasant. The Riad is very clean and quiet, not noisy at all. We had a very good sleep. A happy and nice stay overall.
No window in the room and a very small closet. Breakfast is mainly bread, tea/coffee and orange juice. Towels should be replaced for new ones, they were very old.
Secure location. Easy access to city (1/2 mile to wall and 1 mile to city center). Exceptional staff. Aziz is wonderful and made us all feel welcome and at home.
From our room on the top floor, the WIFI would come in and out. Otherwise everything was good.
The riad is situated just behind the city walls only 20 minutes walk to the center. The best way to find this hotel is to arrange taxi by writing an e-mail to the hotel. The hotel is very very nice. It is well furnished, clean, cosy and free wifi everywhere. Aziz, the owner, is welcoming and kind, ready and happy to give you advices and suggestions what to see or arrange whatever you ask for. Breakfast is served either at the lobby or on the roof with a marvelous view of Atlas. You get continental breakfast with traditional bread, fresh orange juice and mind tea. I highly recommend you this riad.
