Healthy, beautiful breakfast with a pot of coffee! A little, yet very refreshing swimming pool. Gorgeous roof top terrace. Wonderful services from the riad manager, Hamid & his staff.

It wasn't easy to go back to this riad easily as there is no cars inside of the entire medina although that is a very unique part of our holiday experience!

We are two girls travelling to Morocco for the first time and staying in the medina was a bit daunting at first. However the staff was absolutely amazing and took care of everything for us, they arranged guides for us and went over and above our expectations where we had day trips and arrived back at the medina at around midnight, they were able to have a late night dinner ready for us. The pool was gorgeous and the rooftop was perfectly positioned to overlook the medina heads and shoulders above other buildings. Really have no complaints. Absolutely stunning building and had an amazing time, would definitely book again if I am to visit Fes.

The building is extremely beautiful. Nice little swimming pool and terrace with an amazing view on the Medina. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious. Good food both at dinner and breakfast.

Some basic maintenance is needed as some things looked quite "tired".

Nice room & nice terraces & swimming pool. Fresh & nice the breakfast. Staff is kind.

Not very organized to give info about the Medina and things to do. The evening menu always the same...boring! Not too flexible!

The only nice thing is their terrace.

The location is way too deep into the Medina and it makes it impossible to get around without a guide. The place feels extremely sad and very impractical. Our bathroom was upstairs and it was very difficult and inconvenient. The staff was too busy being on their phones than be attentive. We were abandoned on the roof the first night we got there after an 8 hour train ride! Even though we made prior arrangement to have dinner there, after we were served our entres no one one came back to check on us! We went down after 45 minutes waiting and found a guy in the kitchen that snapped at us that we did not order any dessert what do we expect!!!!!! The manger Saeed was sick but tried to be nice but his staff however were horrible and distracted and always on their phone. The quality of the breakfast was very poor as well. They jacked up their price also by doing it in Deram even though we were quoted in Euro. So they did a much lower exchange rate for Euro (every place we exchanged our money Euro was 11 Dram but they did it much lower). I can not believe anyone never mention any of these on your sight. I totally relied on people's opinion when I made my choice and I am very sorry I did.

Central location in the medina. Amazing building. Spacious well appointed rooms. Quiet.

They really should provide clear directions. FYI: one way to get there: start at parking Ain Azliten, follow the Green Route signposted by the tourist office, and you will at some point see their (small) signs, within 1km.

We went to Fez for a friend's wedding and our experience was heightened by our stay at Dar Bensouda. As beautiful the surroundings, as was as our experience of the hammam and massage. In addition, there really was nothing that was too much for Said or the rest of the staff who fulfilled our requests. A truly pleasurable stay. Thank you to all at Dar Bensouda.

    Best coffee ever

You could feel it was not family runned - staff was okay, but not as involved as an owner would be

This is an excellent riad, beautifully renovated, joining the old architectural elements with contemporary comfort and polite, non-intrusive staff. Rooms are huge and gorgeous. Two patios to relax, one with (well kept) swimming pool, and a huge terrace with amazing views, sofas as long chairs. We liked it so much that we prolonged our stay :)

Located in the medina, it can be a challenge. We were using offline maps on the phone and had no problems finding it. Hotel also always offers assistance - to escort, wherever you wish to go and to pick you up at any of the, city gates when arriving / coming back.

The location is excellent, the rooms were comfortable, and the overall traditional decor and layout made for a memorable stay. Said, the manager, is a very polite and helpful manager. He arranged a driver for us, Mustafa who was excellent, as was the guide, Abdub, who showed us the medina.

The riad is quite stunning. While most riads in fes were built in the 19-20th century, this one is more ancient. It has been beautifully restaured. the staff is great and very professional.

The furniture in the common areas and rooms is nice but not as beautiful as the riad itself.
