This traditional riad is located in Fes’s Medina area, in close proximity to the Porte Boujloud and the souks (markets). It offers 2 rooms and 3 suites with balconies.
Score from 139 reviews Very good

Stunning old building in the heart of the Fez medina
From A to Z, everything was perfect. Highly recommend.
Extremely helpful staff, great location in the old town, delicious breakfast, beautiful riad!
A beautiful Dar well located in the Medina. One of the best marked Dar, making it easy to find our way back through the maze of Fes. We ate their one night too and it was the best food I had the entire 10 days in Marocco. Had I known, I would have never tried to eat anywhere else. The staff was very helpful and eager to please. We had a wonderful stay
There was no help getting the Batha during the day. For the price I paid I would of liked to have had someone available to walk me out of the medina to avoid getting lost in the beautiful old maze when I had somewhere to be :-). In saying that ppl on the streets were so helpful in getting me to where I needed to be.
Accomodation and building was absolutely stunning. It is in the medina of the old town which is totally charming although very difficult (impossible) to navigate alone. Food was fantastic and the service was nice.
Unique room, very comfortable and cozy. Great food (breakfast and dinner), and Said was always very prompt to help us with everything. Great place to be in Fez.
wifi isn't so good in the rooms.
huge comfortable beds and beautiful interior design.
the riad is hidden deep inside the medina, although provides quietness but would be hard for visitors to find it on the first time with a map. You can find two Dar Bensouda on Google map, the on north of Talaa Kebira street is incorrect, the other one is correct but google map doesn't show the small streets and the one on the LP map is correct.
This riad is like a five star hotel setting in a medresa. The bed is comfortable and the hot water is constant. the room is big sized with extremely high ceiling. the riad would provide laundry service at request. Great view from the terrace and the breakfast has good variety. The directional signs for the riad are well placed around the riad, you could find them on the Talaa Sghira street or close to the gate of the university, and they are often placed beside the signs to the Ruined Garden or Dar Gnoua.
The Staff and the Manager are really nice and they help you for everything; the manager helped us for the tour guide, the tours, restaurants, other kind of suggestions... Really professional and kind. The Riad is really nice, comfortable and the superior suite Is a good suite! We can only suggest this place, it is the best choice in order to know a bit more about the local culture and at the same time to have a wonderful stay!
WiFi only in the patio Dark No hairdryer in the room
Excellent service level
We had no complaints.
My daughter and I very much enjoyed our stay. The facility was beautiful, the staff exceptionally accommodating before abd after our arrival. The food was tasty and available at times that accommodated our schedule. We booked two tours through the Dar. Both tour guides were very good.
The booking.com telephone number was for Marrakech Riads not this actual Riad so upon arrival no way to contact the manager and ask for someone to guide me to the Riad. As a solo traveller I would have enjoyed a TV!
Saaed the Manager was extremely helpful and friendly and went out of his way to meet my requests. This Riad had been immaculately restored with lovely ceramics, lights and decorations, it is like staying in a museum, but with comfort. Also the terrace was gorgeous, with 360 degree views, spectacular!
The only thing we could say is that the location is not the best one. It's not easy to get to the riad, specially the first time. A bit far from the main gate of the medina but close to Bab Rcif so finally is not a problem at all.
They received us as usual in Morocco with a mint tea while they got ready the room (turn on the heater and brought our suitcases). The room was cozy and very clean. All the staff are ready to help you, specially Said who helped us organizing our next steps (buses, petit taxis to the train and bus station, city guide and so on). You'll fell in an oasis within the medina. Also they kept out luggage for 1 day while we traveled to Chefchaouen. Definetily a good choice!
Lovely Bedroom; Charming Building; Enchanting History; Fantastic staff. I could have paid double and still felt I was getting a good deal. The location is the only downside - in the heart of the labyrinth that is the medina. However, the staff at Bensouda more than compensate....they even helped take our things through the market to a taxi, and picked us up from a restaurant across town. Great terrace overlooking the Kasbah.
Amazing restauration of an old Dar. A full immersion in history. Amazing view from the terrace over the city! Don't miss it during the day and at night.
The room was a bit cold. The manager was helpful but not much talkative, but it was not a problem for us. The location is complicated, you need to be patient and being able to get lose.It was not a problem for us bit it could be for other people.
The riad is beautiful, clean and well located. I highly recommend it.
That i couldn't stay there longer!!
An amazingly beautiful place. The staff were very helpful and kind. The breakfast was fantastic...I only had the salad selection for dinner one night and it was excellent. My only issue with this wonderful place is the location, it isn't easy to find and at night it is a bit of a hassle. The staff will come and get you so don't let that stop you from staying there. They arranged a wonderful meal out for 3 of us one evening..... I had only booked 2 nights and the Manager helped me find another very nice Riad.....
It is impossible to find anything by yourself the first time you get to Fez medina, so make sure you arrange to be met by someone from the Riad. It can be dangerous in the medina late at night by yourself. Our shower was just a handheld shower in the bath but it was ok.
Samir speaks excellent English and is very helpful. The Riad is beautiful, and modern.
This Hotel is just perfect!Really big rooms, nice bed, good location (heart of Medina! But not noisy!) The Stuff was very helpful. The food is also really good!
Hard to find, GPS coordinates on booking com are wrong. Location a bit far from two main streets.
Extremely high ceiling, medieval riadu tirned into a hotel. Very beautiful.
Nothing. Maybe only that because it is hard to find, we found it too challenging to leave the property at night. Not a huge problem, since dinner was fantastic.
Hidden in the medina of Fes, this riad is spectacular with beautiful dining and lounge areas with swimming pool, different courtyards and spacious rooftop terrace overlooking the city. We stayed in one of their lovely bigger suites and shared a courtyard with another suite. The manager Said, as well as the entire staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and welcoming. Quite difficult to find, but we were told to call as soon as we parked our car in a safe underground parking and arranged for a porter to pick us up. We will be back for sure.
Said the manager was excellent.
Everything about this hotel is absolutely great. Said ( the host ) is extremely kind & helpful and the complete staff really makes your stay at ease. I will visit them again, just book it, you will not regret it!
If I have to find something to improve, the only thing I would mention is the breakfast; I would have not minded a bit more variety
Staff members were great, especially Said the manager Helped us and accommodated every single request My partner also had a bad travellers' enteritis and they were very kind towards that making our stay even more comfortable throughout illness I cannot recommend it highly enough The architecture of the building is fascinating and it is worth a visit on its own One of the best places where I spent my holidays - also extremely comfy bed, always great to rest well after running and getting lost through the oldest Medieval medina in the all world. Thanks Fes and Dar Bensouda!!
