Beautiful suite - super riad. Really, really kind, helpful staff. Great private spa/hammam. A lovely haven of peace and tranquillity to come back to after being out in the medina. Good guides to the town. Good food, especially the breakfasts!

Narrow, dirty streets everywhere. Absolutely no bad points about the riad!

It is a little complicate to find the place at first time, but people from the hotel provide everything to help you to find yourself in Fes.

The riad is beautifully decorated and feels very tranquil. I particularly loved the courtyard with the pool and sun loungers. The manager, Said, was very helpful and spoke good English which was a big help for us!

The breakfast was a bit disappointing compared with other riads, where we paid a lot less. While it was beautifully presented, it would have been nice to be served tea (not just coffee), eggs/omelette and fruit salad, rather than bread based options only.

The riad was very beautiful,the staff was very helpful.u feel like a royal when they serve only for you!

It is a bit difficult to find the riad as it is inside the medina.but if u follow the instructions, u reach the place with effort.it is easier to catch hold of a kid at the square(cinema Amal)and ask them to guide u thru.give him 10 Dirhms as tip

This place is awesome! It's super we'll renovated with very nice staff. Do not be afraid to stay at the medina, the hotel has a person that will walk you around for a tip. It's very safe and unique. Do it!

We hated being hassled and hated the awful comments from the men.. Not for the faint hearted if you are women alone !! But doable !

Dar Bensouda went out of their way to make us feel at home. They provided directions, a colleague to guide us to the hotel on foot from the parking, a porter, lovely accommodations (with sitting and drawing rooms) in a spectacular setting, provided services without asking, Dar Bensouda made certain we were well taken care of.

It is within a nice old building.

They tried to charge about us $15 for a little plate of cookies that we ordered with tea. Rip off ! After vehement complaint they withdrew the charge. Extremely difficult to get too. Wrong phone number on printout . Not possible to contact them.

It is a beautiful place, an amazing rooftop and it is located in the hart of the Medina. The rooms are beautiful and the patio is perfect for relaxing after a long day in the medina.

Difficult for us to find our way around the medina, but a small inconvenience to be able to stay in a gorgeous riad.

The Dar is so beautiful and we stayed in a very big luxury room! The staff is very very friendly and helpful. We can recommend this hotel to everybody. We will stay in this hotel the next time we are in Fez.

Verycomfortable to come back to after a day in the medina, and the pool was great in the heat.The staff were professional and spoke english or french and were very helpful, Beautiful relaxing decor.

Sayid and his staff were great. Very friendly and courteous. The location is great- right inside the Medina, but a little hard to find by yourself. Strongly recommend contacting the staff to guide you. The hotel itself is like an oasis inside the Medina. It is quiet, beautiful and cool (which helped with some of the hot days we had)

If you wish to feel home at your first visit to Fes, Dar Bensouda is the place to be... its location was difficult to reach in first time as its in old medina where you can be lost easily but once to know the tricks you find your way easily and they are very helpful to hire you someone to pick you from the station of one the medina gates.. Saed in reception was very very helpful giving you all tips you need for all aspects of your city visit, shoppping, sights and even eating.. amazing delicius moroccan breakfast and the moroccan hammam and massage is a blessing.. the riad design also is fantastic with its roof..

only that wasnt easy to find our way to hotel in the first time.

Lovely historic Riad, centrally located in medina. Facilities are well presented, pool, courtyards, resting areas, rooftop. The air conditioner broke down on our first night, and the staff had the repair underway the first thing the following day, and worked into the night until 23hrs to replace, which despite the inconvenience of warm nights, was a good sign of their customer focus.

Breakfast could be improved with some variety, especially if staying for several days.

The architecture of the hotel is fantastic, wonderful: Note: 10+. It is really something special. Not the usual boring hotel. G to this hotel if you look for a luxurious arabian palace.

Apart from the architecture which is really great ( A wonderful palace just like a fairy arabian tale ) the rest from food to service is standard: It is not really bad but not something special and not something you would not find anywhere else. In particular I did not like the location of the hotel. It is in the heart of the medina. Very unconfortable to reach with laggages/bags. No map is available. At night it could be unpleasant to get to the hotel. You are bombarded with thousand of requests from money to sex to ( ? )... At daytime it is also not pleasant to go away from the hotel or to get to the hotel. There are no indications, no signals you get lost even if you have a good orientation skill. You have always to find someone local to get from and to the hotel. If you really like the medina then go to an hotel outside the medina and visit the medina daytime.

It was an Oasis within the medina. Calm, relaxing & tranquil. Service was excellent. The provision of guides was brilliant and much needed. Staff courteous & helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Very highly recommended. This riad was outstanding. The building itself and the courtyards are gorgeous. The rooms are spacious. The manager on-site was incredibly accommodating - arranging dinner, train tickets, recommendations for shopping, etc. Overall a perfect stay.
