Beautiful building and peaceful inside
Location is dreadful and the riad is impossible to find. Wi fi did not work in the room and there was no tv.
Is in the best position, quite and close to the shops and restaurants
Riad has convenient location, not too much walking from road but on other side is very quiet. Personal ( Mohammed) was very professional and helpful.
room was comfy riad was beautiful staff was helpful
although it was clearly stated in my booking that I was able to pay using mastercard, they gave me the option of paying the agreed amount (35€) in cash or pay 200€ by credit card. It is a major defect staff does not speak english wifi is only available in lobby
So peaceful, and with beds that were extremely comfortable. Beautifully rebuilt, with very attractive central courtyard. Staff could not have been better, very helpful, smiling and willing. Breakfast was good, coffee was excellent and the edge of the medina was just round the corner. I would be happy to go again.
The room and the bathroom were a bit dark. The wifi was a bit in and out. The rooms we booked were up a number of stairs, not at all suitable for older, infirm or children. We changed to a suite, with a steep wooden staircase to a double bedroom and another bobble bed on the lower floor. Very good except when you wanted to get up in the night.
Comparatively it was easy to find the riad because it locates close to the medina gate and not very inside of medina.
I stayed in a small room on 3rd floor, which is on top of the building. The room was heated all day and the walls were very very hot even at night. It could not be cooled down many hours after turning on air-con.
welcome drink, nice moroccan "old fashioned" hotel, good location, we have booked one kind of room and we were moved to better one for free internet for free
When i asked for exchange of 100 MDH to smaller the housemaster took automatically 5 MDH as tip without confirmation. no english Mold in the bathroom price performance ratio still very good hotel
The lounge was spacious and in Moroccan style The management was great They sent taxi as requested
good location near the old medina, quiet place, nice clean room, big enough, helpful staff, You can ask for the pick up from or to the airport for 17 MAD, good prices for food, no problem at all
Quiet and beautiful place with nice staff. We recieved an free upgrade to very big and comfortable room.
Hard to find.
The Riad wasn't full so we were given an upgraded room - larger and cooler than a small room on the top floor. Thank you to the staff!
wi-fi only near reception
Location, safe, staff, breakfast
The room is big and comfortable. However, we think the hotel lacks a bit character. Few minutes walk to the medina and the staff is quite helpful, but difficult to communicate with English.
The shower overflows easily and the water ran to the bedroom floor.
The room was so nice with the beautiful traditional style. The staff were so friendly & cooperative
It is a hassle to reach the place but it is in the heart of the old city
Too much humidity in the room...
Everything was perfect! The location is good, although it was not so easy to find the riad. The contrast between the narrow and dark street leading to the entry door and the richly decorated interior is amazing. Our first room was cozy, warm and comfortable. We had a hot shower and a good Wi-Fi connection on the last floor. After we decided to stay one night longer, the guy at the reception (who actually proved to be a pilot) offered us a nice luxus room for the same price. It was a fine gesture and a good surprise :) Thanks a lot!
Staff was really nice,we really enjoy our staing ;).thank you;)
kind staff, comfortable spaces
Mahommed was very helpful, riad was excelent, the best we've stayed in.
We liked the beautiful building, the large triple room, good breakfast, and positive interactions and helpful suggestions from the owner when he was there.
We had four days of cold showers at a time when the interior of the building was cold. This was reported to management but it did not change. Staff were not that helpful except the owner who was rarely available. The cold, wet weather accentuated the discomfort that we experienced in the Riad. The location was not as close to the medina as we would have liked. We would not recommend the Riad for a solo traveller or a winter stay.
The bed was comfortable.
We didn't see another guest for our stay. Although that may sound nice, it was a bit strange with just us and the caretaker rambling around the big hotel. We only saw the host twice during our stay which made it hard to ask questions and get assistance, we ended up going to the nearby hostel to get a map and overview of Fes. We felt very isolated and left to our own devices at Riad Boustan. In addition, we would have liked a key to get in and out of the property rather than waking up the non-English speaking caretaker every time we needed to be let in. No wifi in rooms was annoying and the bathroom had a horrendous smell that we did our best to block by keeping the door closed.
Absolutely loved the interior design of this Riad! The pieces were carefully and tastefully chosen- lovely! Breakfast was traditional and tasty. Staff very friendly! Don't get a "guide" to show you around the city- but do get someone to show you the riad's location as it is not too easy to find.
Incredibly good people! We were not only waited for at an easy-to-find meeting point and taken to the hotel, I was also accompanied when I got hungry late in the evening and didn't know where to go. We spent some time talking with the owner over a cup of tea, and everyone made sure we felt like at home. I have rarely seen such kindness elsewhere.
As with many riads, rooms have windows opening into the inner hall, so privacy isn't optimal. But this is simply how these buildings are made and if you want a true Moroccan riad experience, this is a part of the deal.
