The Riad wasn't full so we were given an upgraded room - larger and cooler than a small room on the top floor. Thank you to the staff!

The room is big and comfortable. However, we think the hotel lacks a bit character. Few minutes walk to the medina and the staff is quite helpful, but difficult to communicate with English.

The shower overflows easily and the water ran to the bedroom floor.

The room was so nice with the beautiful traditional style. The staff were so friendly & cooperative

It is a hassle to reach the place but it is in the heart of the old city

Everything was perfect! The location is good, although it was not so easy to find the riad. The contrast between the narrow and dark street leading to the entry door and the richly decorated interior is amazing. Our first room was cozy, warm and comfortable. We had a hot shower and a good Wi-Fi connection on the last floor. After we decided to stay one night longer, the guy at the reception (who actually proved to be a pilot) offered us a nice luxus room for the same price. It was a fine gesture and a good surprise :) Thanks a lot!

We liked the beautiful building, the large triple room, good breakfast, and positive interactions and helpful suggestions from the owner when he was there.

We had four days of cold showers at a time when the interior of the building was cold. This was reported to management but it did not change. Staff were not that helpful except the owner who was rarely available. The cold, wet weather accentuated the discomfort that we experienced in the Riad. The location was not as close to the medina as we would have liked. We would not recommend the Riad for a solo traveller or a winter stay.

    The bed was comfortable.

We didn't see another guest for our stay. Although that may sound nice, it was a bit strange with just us and the caretaker rambling around the big hotel. We only saw the host twice during our stay which made it hard to ask questions and get assistance, we ended up going to the nearby hostel to get a map and overview of Fes. We felt very isolated and left to our own devices at Riad Boustan. In addition, we would have liked a key to get in and out of the property rather than waking up the non-English speaking caretaker every time we needed to be let in. No wifi in rooms was annoying and the bathroom had a horrendous smell that we did our best to block by keeping the door closed.

Absolutely loved the interior design of this Riad! The pieces were carefully and tastefully chosen- lovely! Breakfast was traditional and tasty. Staff very friendly! Don't get a "guide" to show you around the city- but do get someone to show you the riad's location as it is not too easy to find.

Incredibly good people! We were not only waited for at an easy-to-find meeting point and taken to the hotel, I was also accompanied when I got hungry late in the evening and didn't know where to go. We spent some time talking with the owner over a cup of tea, and everyone made sure we felt like at home. I have rarely seen such kindness elsewhere.

As with many riads, rooms have windows opening into the inner hall, so privacy isn't optimal. But this is simply how these buildings are made and if you want a true Moroccan riad experience, this is a part of the deal.

Very frıendly and helpful personel. The Riad is perfectly located.

There was a bad odor in the bathroom. And the limona rooms are very small and you do not have internet connevtion there so try to avoid larger rooms on the lower floor. Those were really nice rooms.

The riad itself was beautiful and we had our own separate access to our room from the inner courtyard. I'd not seen that before! The breakfast was very good. The riad is well located for exploring the medina.

Our room was a bit small but clean and adequate.

A superb place for a holiday in Fez. Located in a narrow lane of the old medina, with beautiful Moroccan interior decoration and a calm, peaceful atmosphere. Wonderful retreat after the intensity of the medina. The staff was very kind and helpful, with special thanks to Mr. Mohammed at the reception who helped us out when one of us was sick. I am sure we could not have found a better a place in Fez!

    1. The staff. Mohammed was more than helpful in every way a person could be. 2. The Riad is amazing in the way it is set up, it is absolutely beautiful. Every room is unique and is truly a great value for Fez. I will be coming back here every time I go to Fez from now on (I am an American living in Morocco).

We really liked the attention of the staff, particularly Mohammed was really nice and helpful at all times. We had an upgrade of our room from Limona to Roumana and that was a really nice gesture that we greatly appreciated.

Fez Medina is a bit overwhelming but the hotel is located at a perfect distance from the Medina to avoid too much chaos but yet to allow you to walk there in less than 5 minutes.
