Score from 318 reviews Very good
The owners, and the location so close to the square.
The early morning call to pray, but you will get that across the city!
everything, staff were excellent and very helpful. riad was everything all previous visitor's said it was. I would come to this riad again and have already recommended to friends and family.
Mehdi was incredible when helping us in some tough situations. He constantly went over and above to buy bus tickets, arrange trips and generally be a really friendly presence in the riad. Rooms and breakfast were simple but great value for the price and the location is literally minutes from the main square.
Nice location 5 mins walk from Djemm el Fanaa. Friendly staff.
Asked us to stay at a different hotel for one night because they had over booked. We read later this is a common problem is Morocco where they often oversell and push the reservations to sister businesses. The other property was ok but we would rather not have been inconvenienced.
Our stay was really great we didn't have much to worry about. Mehdi in the reception was really very helpful, kind and sincere. The riad offers a friendly atmosphere.
Mehdi was a great host and the most helpful person we've met during our entire trip to Morocco. The riad is very clean, the beds comfortable and the location is fantastic. Wi-Fi signal was quite good too.
friendly staff, perfect location (although do ask the owner for directions - the only reasonable way is via small street coming from north-eastern corner of Jemaa el Fna going south. At some point, at your right you will notice a very small notice high on the wall of the building saying CASA SOPHIA. Follow this narrow street till the very end). Believe me - you will be grateful for ths hint ;-)
not a single thing
Very friendly staff, give us lots of information, tried to makes us very comfortable and in fact we felt like at home. We will come back here again.
Riad Casa Sophia is a small but perfectly formed Riad with really helpful staff and beautiful decor. Just minutes from the square, it's right in the heart of the action but amazingly peaceful inside. Highly recommended and the trip to Ourika Valley is well worth taking but give the camel ride a miss unless you particularly want to ride a camel along a road for a few metres!
Excellent easy-to-find location, very close to the Djemaa square but very quiet all the same, the friendliest hosts ever. Nice (comfort) rooms, very clean.
1. Awesome staff (very helpful, good local knowledge, etc) 2. The dinner I had in the hotel was the best throughout my 1 week stay in Morocco 3. Great location 4. The hamaam and massage I booked via hotel was awesome and great value for money. In fact, the hotel owner can also get you great deal for various excursions (much better than what you find online) 5. Great value for your money
1. Poor Wifi in the room (but it works fine in the hall) 2. Very difficult to find the place on your own (strongly suggest you coordinate with the owner to set up a meeting place at the square)
Riad Casa Sophia was a great find. Really close to Djeema El Fna square (couple of minutes walk) - just one left turn so no chance of getting lost! Our hosts were wonderful and we wished we'd eaten every night at the Riad as the food prepared for us was superb and far out rated anything found in the local restaurants. Would 100% most definitely stay there again.
Having to come home!!!!!
The staffs are really friendly and the riad has a great relaxing atmosphere during our stay. Our room is cozy and clean.
Very helpful friendly staff, clean rooms lovely decor great breakfast, wonderful dinner on last night, could not find any fault would defiantly go back. Miriam Dublin
The staff is very friendly and helpful, moreover they speak Italian, English, French and Arabic. The location is perfect, around 5 minutes from the main square (Jemaa El Fna). One day we tried the dinner and it was very good and the portions was very generous too
all the staff were very friendly and willing to please.
it was not ao easy ti commicate in english - but everybody tried their best!
Friendly staff Fantastic location Great mint tea Comfortable room and very clean
The staff was really nice, polite and helpful. They spoke at least five different languages (including English, Italian and Spanish). They helped us with everything we needed and one of the most successful part of our trip was due to their advises on where to go. The Riad was clean and the breakfast was really good. The bedroom was comfortable and the shower was great. The location is also an advantage, only 2 minute away from Djemma el Fna. It was totally worth what we paid for. Only good things to say about this Riad. We had a really pleasant stay! We absolutely recommend it!
Excellent location, polite staff, great value for money
The location is only 2 minute away from Djemma el Fna. Mohammad's hospitality to help us with information and direction, everything we need. Breakfast was delicious. We were really enjoy staying here.
The location, literally 2min from Jemaa el Fna and in a nice part of the medina. Easy to find as well. The staff was very helpful, helping us with the luggage and to buy bus tickets. I have stayed at other riads in Marrakech but next time I will check in at Casa Sophia.
Staff very helpful, location is central to where we want to go.
Wifi sometimes does not work in the room.
The location was perfect. It was just 200 m from the Jemaa el-Fna square. Very friendly family (Bahiya and her Italian husband and last but not least Omar).
Breakfast was good, but we missed the Moroccan tea Rooms are not that big, but on the other hand you are in the center of Marrakech. So its OK!
Everything was perfect!
