An initial warm welcome was given by our host and owner, Patrick. This stylish and tranquil Riad in the heart of the madina gave all the comforts that you need. My only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer. I hope to return again soon. Many thanks!
We could not recommend this riad highly enough. The comfort and attention to detail were excellent. Nothing was too much hassle for anybody working there and the meal we ate in the road was delicious. We would definitely stay again.
Patrick was excellent! He showed us the Medina and made sure we did not get lost. He acted as a hotel manager, travel agent, host, etc. He made our trip amazing and we could not have stayed in a better Riad! If they are full, change your itinerary, so you can stay here. You will not regret it!
Nothing. Phenomenal experience!
Tucked away down a side alley, off one of the main streets , beautifully furnished and decorated, spotlessly clean and really quiet - away from the noise of the medina. Although small - only 5 rooms - there is everything you could want. Very attentive owner - Patrick - who genuinely wanted us to get the best experience from this chaotic & vibrant city. He has a wealth of knowledge which he is keen to share. Nothing was too much trouble - just a shame he had to leave part way through our stay. Excellent value riad.
I liked the staff and being in the Medina. Everything was good and good value for money.
A beautiful riad, which was built up by patrick ( the owner). A very authentic and warm feeling once you are there, a great place to come back to and relax. Patrick was extremely helpful. He made the effort to walk down with me and my parents to the main square the first time so we wouldn't get lost. He gave great tips on how to find you way around, believe it or not this is extremely important. If you are lost in Marrakech you are at the mercy of the touts. His recommendations on restaurants was also excellent. All in all he makes you feel at home.
Location Room Rooftop terrace for breakfast Staff Patrick was fantastic and so helpful
Can be noisy with people coming and going in eve but all quiets down by 11pm( only cos riads are like a home)
- The warm welcome that French owner Tarec/Patrique gave us and the music he was playing during the evening (he also is a huge music lover) - Good breakfast - Very nice interior
The Riad is very hard to find on your own, as it is hidden away at the end of a small alley. You will probably get picked up by some locals who will guide you there. This is of course ok, but if you offer them 10-20 Dirham for a short walk of < 300 meters, they are offended and demand more. Thank god that by then, the door to our Riad opened.
We had an amazing time there, the owner Patrick was more than helpful and friendly. Perfect RIAD to stay. More than recommendable.
Our 7 day stay @ Riad Chafia was like no other experienced in Morocco. The patron (Patrick) ably assisted by Rashid & Fatima ensured our visit was quite memorable. A wonderful 'mein host', overseeing an exquisite riad, ideally located within the medina - we shall return!

We were collected by Patrick from the taxi rank and were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived at the Riad. The rooms were clean and tidy, very good value for money. Patrick helped us settle in and showed us the way to Jama el Fana, no more than 10 minutes away. Although the Riad is in the Souks it is calm and peaceful. Rachid was always on hand to offer lovely mint tea.We arranged dinner at theRiad once and it was probably the tastiest food we ate during our stay.
Fantastic stay, peter the owner is very friendly and very helpful he showed us the square and the main tourist attractions would definitely recommend thank you for a great stay
Nothing at all
The owner Thierry is very friendly and helpfull he went to get us to the nearest taxi station and, show us the closest good restaurants. The Riad is beautiful and the room is stylish and comfortable. very well located, close to a taxi station, quiet, but in the centre of the medina. The Riad has Tv with sports tv channels.
Nothing that I remenber
Patrick, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip, including spending time walking around the city with us to make sure we didn't get lost and arranged an awesome private tour for us. From what other guests told us, it seems Patrick always does something to make each guest's stay special. His staff, Fatima and Rashid, also went above and beyond by keeping our rooms spotless and cooking one if the best meals we had in Morocco. I will definitely stay here again if I return to Marrakech.
The Riad is amazing. The owner made us feel like home. Amazing breakfast.
We fell in love with the place, with its charm with its peace and beauty. Its really a Paradise within the Medina. The main Plaza is just a couple of minutes walking and everything is really close to the Riad. The owner, Patrik was lovely with us, she helped us with all the questions we had. The Riad was very very clean and quiet. The breakfast in the Terrace was lovely and the service was excellent. Patrik always played great music in the afternoon, which made the whole ambient even better. We really enjoyed our stay at the Riad, we have not a single complaint.
This riad was a home away from home. Patrick, who owned the riad did everything in his power to make it one of the most wonderful trips I have ever been on! The riad itself was breathtaking, full of art! Breakfast was delicious, rooms were beautifull and VERY clean! And Patrick himself was, welcoming, attentive and helpful in everyway.
There is nothing I could pick up on! All was absolutely perfect.
Patrick and the staff were amazing. On hand to offer advice and help you navigate safely around the city. The Riad is lovely, clean and comfortable. It's peaceful and relaxing after a day at the Souks. Organise a taxi with Patrick as it's hard to find the first time round.
Nothing, fab fab fab!!
the staff was extremely friendly and very helpfull
Probably the best decision we have ever made regarding accommodation on holidays. Patrick (the owner) is extremely friendly and very helpful. He spent so much time every evening talking to us and giving us tips on what to do. The riad itself is in an excellent location in the Medina. The addition to detail is amazing. So much art around related to Morocco but it is still so modern. Rooms are very clean. 10/10 for this riad with no complaints
It was absolutely exceptional, we really felt at home. I would come back and recommend it to everyone again and again. We happened to be in Morocco during the Muslim Aid festivities in October but Patrick advised us wisely on how to plan our days around it. It was so fantastic to come back from the busy and hectic of the rest of the Medina and found a great atmosphere, so calm and peaceful inside the Riad. Breakfast was good, plentiful and always starting with a freshly squeezed orange juice. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean with fresh towels and bed sheets all the time. Very comfortable bed, the rooms were completely dark when windows closed so you we had a proper rest (wherever you stay in Morocco you will never get away from the calls to pray 5 times a day, it is part of the experience). Hot water took a bit of time to come out in the taps, due to the use of solar panels (which is environmentally sensible) but then run perfectly right. I advise everyone to book the transfer from the airport directly with the Riad so you don’t waste time to find it in your first day. The location is great. Patrick (as well as Rachid) will go the extra mile to help you enjoy your visit, he made our visit to Morocco so special.
Everything was perfect!
First off the riad was simply beautiful, the art work that filled each bare wall was stunning and the rooms are fantastic. Patrick, the owner organised a transfer for us that walked you to the front door of the riad. You must get this as it's very hard to find! (Like all riads). Patrick absolutely made our holiday, he organised everything for us, gave us a free moped ride around the whole medina, went to the pharmacy for us when we were ill. Just amazing. The riad is a few minutes walk to everywhere that you should go. He will recommend beautiful restaurants to go to that you wouldn't find if you didn't have his help. I urge everyone to stay at this riad, i couldn't recommend it more. I would have paid three times the price that I paid just purely for the exceptional service. When you go I'm sure you will feel the same.
Nothing at all!!!
everything was great (walking distance to most popular sites in Medina, comfortable, clean, with very nice/helpful owner who showed us around)
I cannot imagine finding the place at the first time on our own - better to ask for pick up from railway station/airport or a place nearby; it was quite noisy in the morning because of the prayers but I would guess it is normal in Medina
