In whole riad you can smell moroccan food, like you are in the kitchen all the time, that is quite annoying. Our room was dark,2 bulbs(one above and one near to bed)didn't work. There was a problem with an electricity in riad/Medina so we didn't have any hot water, internet and light and we were unable to shower, pack our bags before leaving etc. That also cause us a lot of problems like not cheking in and printing boarding pass.Even that wasn't their fault I think that the condition of good tourism is to be complaisant in situations like this.We both have an apartments and when something like that happens we offer not even the lower price but free room instead and all our receptionists know and apply that rule without asking us.When I told the girl on reception that in situations like this is fair to offer us discount she said no,laughed most of the time, refused to contact her supervisor and said if I don't want to pay she will take the money from my credit card anyway. After half an hour of discussion she resolve to forgive us taxes(1.5 euro each). If that happens often(and happens becouse the other receptionist told us that's common occurrence)they should know how to act.Nice memories of their riad and smile on guests faces are so much more important then all the money you earn, you should remember that if work in tourism.Anyway, looking from my perspective, that greed of yours wasn't worth of negative comment.
We stayed in this riad for one night.Location is good(Essaouira is quite small so wherever you stay in medina you're in center).Rooms are clean and comfortable.Guys on reception are very helpful, especially one who was trying to solve things that didn't work.

the room had a window which when closed still let in a draft. The beds were not comfortable at all and as it was cold in general it added to the discomfort. If that wasn't all there was NO hot water in the shower so be careful if you plan to have a bath. In general,I wouldn't stay there or recommend it again.
the riad is located in the very center of the city and os easy to find.it is in a secluded alley but the whole city is built like that.the staff is friendly but that's about it.

The terrace room was great since we were traveling with young children, but it really could use an updating.
The breakfast was awesome and the staff extremely friendly.

The riad is lovely. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was really good. There is a nice roof terrace.

The bathroom was more of a wet room, so once you had a shower it took a while for the water to drain. However, this was completely manageable, you just couldn't go in the bathroom in socks!
Seemed to be a friendly, family based company.

Maryam, Kareem and other members of staff did all they could to make my stay comfortable. Nice roof terrace, good breakfast, reasonable Wi-Fi, lovely Riad all round. Was lucky to have a fireplace in my room so a nice fire on the cool nights was very welcoming. Great value as well.

The twin bedrooms two of our group shared were very small with no where to store luggage.
Good location, close to shops and restaurants.

Typical Moroccan Riad with splashes of colour everywhere and riad house plan, very comfortable.our room was small but very comfortable and warm with a great shower and comfortable bed- most important. Staff were wonderful and breakfast was the typical Moroccan breakfast. Excellent wifi. Essaouira is a lovely city medina, compact and easy to explore without the hassle of Marrakech. Great restaurants within easy walking distance, great beach and port walks and wonderful shopping. A great stay.

Just one thing. Not very good quality of WiFi
Very stylish place with excellent staff. Very close to Supraturs and historical centre of medina. I can recommend to everyone who would like to stay at traditional Moroccan house

The bathroom could have been more modern; No heating.
Location, nice breakfast, good WiFi, nice staff.

Damp/sewer/mould smell in the bathroom. As we weren't in the room much, it wasn't too much of a problem.
Essaouira is a great place to visit, we loved our time here! Sea, sand, smiles, music, and amazing cheap food! The location of this Riad made our visit so easy...it's in the heart of the medina, only 10 metres away from the main area and a 5 minute stroll to the beach and port. The Riad is also close to the main entrance so it's not hard to find from the bus station, which is handy! We were greeted by lovely and very helpful staff who tried to help us in any way they could! Breakfast was decent and the room cosy. There's lots of beautiful artworks and artefacts to be mesmerised by and a lovely little terrace to relax on! But you won't be spending much time in the Riad as Essaouira is on your doorstep!

Great location, nice room, good hot shower. Friendly staff too.

Over-fussy décor. The pictures on the walls draw attention away from the original architecture - it would be better without them.
Staff, location and value for money all excellent. Beautiful building and nice potted plants.

Lovely stay. Shame I did not have enough time.
December 27, 2014
Wifi stopped working in the afternoon of the second day and was not on-line again until the next morning. The shower wet the whole bathroom, which had to stay wet until the cleaner dried it the next day.
Great location. Pleasant helpful staff. Good value for money.

Friendly, helpful staff and they will do all they can to make your stay comfortable. We visited in November when Morocco experienced unprecedented rainfall. It was generally much colder and damper than I've previously experienced. We were offered a heater for our room and a kettle so we could fill our hot water bottles, at no extra charge!! Breakfasts are included in price and are delicious. Rooms are small and cosy and beds are comfortable.
