Score from 122 reviews Wonderful
very nice structure, good breakfast
Room very clean the first day, not same level the following days
Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Reliable pick up service from airport. Helpful Staff.
No English channels on the TV except Al Jazeera and BBC world news - not a problem unless the weather is bad and you want to watch a movie. Staff don't speak much English so you will struggle if you don't speak French or Arabic. Walking home from the square in the evening after the souks shut can be tricky if you don't have a good sense of direction. Internet is slow.
Everything is fantastic
Beautiful design and architecture, small but nice SPA. Great patio. Very friendly staff.
Location is in one of the extremes of the Medina. Not a major issue, still quite accessible by foot.
-Interior design with Moroccan ambience -Breakfast -Menu choice good for lunch/dinner -Very friendly staff -Open fire in dining room -Room cleaned daily
-Location - 20-25 minute walk to the medina -Felt a little uneasy in narrow streets outside Riad especially when dark -Bedroom was a little chilly, but warm extra blanket provided for bed
Excellent and polite hotel manager, clean and attractive courtyard, room and hamam.
Plain dining room, average breakfast with cold morning coffee, lack of atmosphere (check-in end of January, maybe hot weather would have matched cool facilities better). Situated relatively far from Jemaa El-Fna with risk of getting lost (taxi is recommended).
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Loved the wood fires and relaxing atmosphere of the riad.
Very difficult place to find. Hardly any taxi drivers knew where the riad was and no one could drive us close to it. Spa was disappointing. Very poor service. We booked the purifying hammam and relaxing massage. The hammam was cold as the lady kept opening the door and letting the cold air in. She literally threw the body scrub on top of us without any scrubbing then washed it off. Massage was horrible - cold room and cold hands despite our objections. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional. No steps to maintain any dignity. We all felt quite violated.
Friendly staff, very accommodating and felt very welcome
The tranquility after the hustle and bustle of The souks. So tastefully decorated very welcoming and calm. Mint tea and sweets on arrival. Such a beautiful setting.
That's a tough 1.the hammam wasn't the finest we've tried but nice to have on site anyway after a good massage. We got a bit lost coming back late at night through our own fault it's a bit of a labyrinth when everything has closed and looks unrecognisable! But the locals where helpful.
The staff is very friendly & helpful. Special thank you to Mejit (Magic) - we always felt pampered & taken care of:) The Riad itself is a gem and a pleasure to designers eye;) Great interiors, and decor - one get definitely inspired;) nice breakfasts with fresh juicies, homemade yoghurts and delicious home baked pastry. For dinner / it's a good idea to go out, and try smth in the town.
Unfortunately the Riad is located in a nasty part of Medina (old part of the city) it's literarily impossible to find your way in this labyrinth. And when you ask the way, kids/locals start begging for money-can be very pushy. Thats of course not the Riad's fault - just be prepared for adventures.
Courtyard, pool, roof terraces, spacious yet cosy room, friendly welcoming staff -a truly relaxing place to stay.
The riad is tucked away in the north of the medina and a good 10 minute walk to restaurants.
I liked the rooftop area, while look of the place exactly like the photos more of less. The hotel driver was really helpful and gave us some good advice he did come to pick us up late a couple of times which was a bit annoying and did make us late but we were glad we had someone we good trust to take is around we couldn't have done it by our selfs
They take forever to bring ordered food 2 hours we waited for an omelette and Cous Cous , breakfast is cold and the same everyday just mainly breads and buns and an omelette which wasn't nice. Rooms were cold unless you put the heating on constantly. Location old town wasn't for me, very hard to get out of the vicinity by yourself and locals will only take you to where they want you to go .. Their shops and businesses, you get harassed a lot. Pool in Riad is not heated so cold we did go in December though. Wifi only works downstairs in the open section where you can view the pool and in the small room unless it's hot or you're in the small room you'll freeze trying to get some wifi. I didn't like the bathroom the shower has no shower curtain and it's really dark in there also the mirrors are not well lit or placed suitably to see your whole outfit one was so high you could just about see your head in it.
Service was excellent. Just the right sized riad, so it was sociable but relaxed and quiet. Rooms were authentic and distinctive. Communal areas were accessible and welcoming.
The pool was just a bit too cold to swim in in December.
i like the charm of the riad, it is so typical marocain with beautiful materials en colors and frienly staff
it is a little bit too far of the main place (jamaa el fna) so that you always loose your way in the medina
Super Riad with great atmosphere! Very friendly staff Good value for money Has nice hammam facilities
Loved the tranquility inside the front door of the riad, the staff were just great and the roof terrace was amazing
if I had to say something negative it's just a trivial thing but the breakfast was the same every morning.
My boyfriend and I spent four nights at the riad. We got picked up from the airport shuttle service and were welcomed in a really nice way. The riad is beautiful and very clean. We had a very nice big room. The riad had a beautiful sun Deck with comfortable areas to relax. The whole atmosphere is very relaxing and peaceful The staff was really friendly and helpful. Nothing was to much to ask of them and they were very reliable. We enjoyed our stay a lot and Cannot wait to visit again.
I would totally recommend this place if you are traveling to marrakech. The Riad is sooo beautiful and its like entering a different world after you been out on the hectic streets of marrakech. Very nice and quiet and the rooms are great. Big plus for the outdoor pool and the two terasses where you can get an excellent view over the city. Staff are super friendly and helpful. They also offer really great hammam and spa treatments. Great place to stay especially if you go with your boyfriend/girlfriend. Its very romantic :)
THE STAFF WAS VERY KIND AND DID EVERYTHING TO SATTISFY YOUR NEEDS
NO MORE HOTELS IN THE OLD TOWN.DANGEROUS AND WITHOUT NOTHING TO DO AFTER A CERTAIN TIME
The Riad has a homely feel about it, though you still feel on vacation. There are numerous places to sit and rest, multiple terraces with different types of furniture, and overall it is very easy to relax. We also wanted to say that one of the Riad's staff (Mojid) was incredibly welcoming, charming, and helpful during our entire stay. We had nice conversations with him and his recommendations were spot on.
The bed we slept in was two twins pushed up next to each other. This wasn't a big deal, and the size and decor of the room made up for it. Also, the wifi could only be used on the ground floor, and even there it was sometimes too slow to load a basic website. Not sure if this is just the city's infastructure, as they had a number of routers to connect to.
Mint Tea, Red Wine, Twittering Birds, Cool but Traditional Decor, Comfortable, Chilled Areas to sit and read or use the (reasonable) Wi- Fi, Good service and friendly advice, In down to earth area of the Medina where you see real Moroccans at work and play
Walks to the central areas of city and Souks should not be rushed (or skipped) but need careful planning and patient map reading
The riad is a beautiful, calm, scented oasis in the chaotic, sometimes smelly medina! The staff were amazing; very kind and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were fabulous - fresh juice, home-made bread and even home-made yoghourt
Bedroom Staff Facilities Peacefulness Spa Private Balcony
The staff were extremely friendly & patient. They were concerned with my safety (as a solo traveller). Also they were entertaining. Excursions were offered but not pushed. Lots of helpful information. The rooms were spacious, excellent aircon. The reception area was beautiful, the pool was lovely- just a nice size to cool off in. Privacy was respected. Was treated really well- lovely mint tea offered all the time. The meals there were nice. Can't fault the place. Loved the rooftop - especially at sunset. Quiet traditional area & not far to walk to main markets (although very easy to get lost)!! The staff always offered to help you of you got lost- you could just ring them. I would recommend & hopefully I get to return !
The staff could not do enough for you, Majid and Mohhomed were so helpful with organising tours etc. thank you so much for an enjoyable stay.
