I love the staff, the women was amazing and her daughter was nice as well. Very welcoming and willing to show us around. She had great suggestions and when we werent happy with our room she upgraded us
The first room we had didnt look like it had been cleaned at all as there was stuff all over the room so she changed our room to a nicer one which was very clean. The wifi didnt work one of the nights which was a bit irritating as most of us it was the only form of communication we had while we were there
Freindy staff (not much english-speaking). Great location. And the house itself is fantastic!
Nobody does not speak English, conditioner does not work. night locked.terrace not decorated.
Excellent Riad. Great location, amazing staff, super value for your money. Will stay there again.
people were friendly although had to communicate in french as their english was poor. really good location everything is close by.
It's cold at night so bring warm pj's
Our time in the Riad Chennaoui was wonderful. The place is like a classical maroccan palazzo with amazing decoration and great taste: hand made lamps and carpets, ceilings and doors hand painted, very clean and all details. We had mint tea and splendid breakfast in the central patio with birds and palms. The location is also exceptional, very central and extremely quiet and secure; near the Bahia Palace in the heart of the Medina. The host, Senna is very nice, helpful and warm. The family, father and daughters, are always smiling and ready to help, and the most respectful and silent. We truly recommend this Riad to ensure a great time in the exotic Marrakech Medina! 1000 times better than a Hotel in the new part of the town.
beautiful house, nice terasse, good central location, friendly staff, good coffee, nice sofas, cosy red lamps in the room :-) no bed bugs (can´t be taken for granted in morroco)
- rooms would have been cleaned if we would have given the key to the staff, we were told only at the last of our four days - the information emphasises there is a hair dryer, but there is only one for all guests, which I had to ask and wait for - "spa products" in the description was only a soap -no door between bathroom/toilet and bedroom -staff could not speak any english -the terasse was awsome but there was no sitting possibility
Personal was very kind. They help us to find good restaurant, massage and hamman.
The Riad had the perfect balance of traditional Moroccan and Home comforts. The family were really warm and welcoming and happy to help as much as they could. They even packed us a breakfast on the last day as we had to leave really early. The riad is in the south of the old Medina which is a little calmer than the centre but still in the main hub. The breakfast was just the right size and it offered more than all the other places we visited. The family were able to recommend great places to eat at a reasonable price which was refreshing after a day of being offered 'tourist' prices. We strongly recommend to those who want a taste of Moroccan culture without breaking the bank.
This riad was quiet and relaxing and ideal for couples. The wifi was really quick.
I went with a group of lads and this isnt an ideal place for young guys to stay. We were told to be quiet at night as everyone was trying to sleep when we were just talking and laughing. The location was terrible, in small alleyways that looked intimidating and we kept getting lost and nothing special nearby. The riads air con didnt work and the toilet didnt have a lock or a roof, just a wall separating the bedroom from bathroom. The staff had limited english so couldnt communicate at all. We stayed there for one night and booked another hotel the next day, staff didnt give us refund for the days we didnt stay.
Location in the medina, close to the centre. Owners were very friendly and helpful, although very little English was spoken ( we could communicate reasonably in French ). The riad was very traditional, which is what we wanted. It was also clean and comfortable. Overall we had a very nice stay and an enjoyable holiday.
- Worst experience ever. - They lied on the website about pool and airconditioning. - The staff was extremely rude and does not speak a word of English. - It was a nightmare to find the place since the staff were not willing to help us at all. - The Riad is filthy and stinky (literally). Photos are deceptive. - Even though I confirmed by email at time of booking that I will pay by credit card, they demanded cash when we were checking in at 11pm in the night and threatened to throw us out if we did not pay cash in advance. - The breakfast was stale and there was absolutely nothing for the children to drink. When we asked for water for the children at breakfast they demanded money. When I complained about it, the lady Sana threw the coins back at us and started shouting. We were lucky that it didnt hurt anyone but unbelievable behaviour. - Dont even think about this Riad, you will be spoiling your holiday.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. Had a lovely pastry breakfast and very close to the souk. Beautiful, original decor, loved it
We spent 2 nights in this traditional ryad. The place is beautiful, typical marocan house. And the owners are really nice and helpful.
Cold water in the shower on the first night. Our room was located next to the street. It was a little bit noisy at night.
it is a cute riad, but not top quality.
hot water not running more than 5min; smell in the bathroom;limited breakfast;cold rooms; thin walls.
