Good location, very nice personnel, clean and comfortable riad.

EVERYTHING. If you just remember, this is a Riad and not a hotel, also it is very reasonably priced, you will really enjoy this little gem.

We spoke French so could communicate with the owner very well but those who can't speak any French may find it difficult. I became very ill on the last night of our stay and I wanted to stay in my room for breakfast but that was not a possibility unfortunately. Finally, it's a little difficult to find the little street on which the riad is located so if you are not familiar, make sure you ask for directions beforehand.
Wonderfully hot showers and air conditioning/heating. This was definitely the most comfortable riad we stayed in during our trip, the breakfast was very nice and the owner was generally very helpful to us. The location is also just outside the medina and so very easy to get to the main square and also to access taxis to get to the airport/anywhere else.

Room is a little too dim, lighting can be improved, perhaps by using higher wattage lamp. But maybe the lighting just goes with the traditional moroccan style.
Breakfast is excellent. Location is central but neighboorhood is still quiet and relaxed. Very nice staff.

staff very helpful, nice riad and rooms, beautiful bathroom great location
March 10, 2015
There could be more light in the room. Not a good place for a short rest in the afternoon as the area is very very noisy until 10 pm, let's say.
The riad is nice, the location is very convenient and easy to find. The room was large and clean and so was the bathroom. Hot water for shower, good working A/C and good breakfast. The manager is a very kind and helpful person. We asked and have been given early breakfast due to our flight. We also got instructions for the taxi for the airport and have been told the fixed price for the taxi so that the driver would not try to trick us.

There was no power socket on the floor, so in order to charge our smartphones, we had to unplug night lamp. There was some free power socket but above window (probably for air conditioning) On our arrival there was no indication on building, so it was hard to find it. Paint was falling off in bathroom in some places.
Location of this place is perfect - 10min walk from Jemaa, 5min to Koutubia. Room was of decent size and bathroom was quite big. Dar was looking very good inside, with big courtyard and beautful mosaics and tiles. Breakfast was big and tasty and they proposed some extra yoghurt and croissant for our son for breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Nothing bad to write.
I loved the fact that this Riad is located I the heart of the city. Just a few minutes walk from the main square and souks. Clean, comfy and a nice selection at breakfast. The pancakes were to die for and very filling. Would definitely stay again.

Truly? Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Room was very clean, comfortable, non stop hot water, good wifi, all hotel was very clean and well decorated. Every small pice of equipment was nice and tasty. It was a pleasure to stay here. Also food was very good - true orange juice, fresh bread, fresh mint tea, true butter.

The owner is a littel bit nervous and not so calm when have any problems. Staff didn't speak English.
Breakfast is so good and the owner is very friendly. He woke up extra at 6:45 to make the breakfast for me :).

- hard to find ( narrow street - please find sign of riad Dar Sheby and then turn around as door of riad Dar Aby are on opposite side ) - our breakfast was polite (bread, yogurt) relative to breakfast which was served for other guests (hot pancakes, cheeses)
- Talkative, easy going and friendly owner - Useful map and tips about Marrakech given by an owner - air conditioning and heating - nice patio and warm room - owner helps in arranging excursions - owner take care about place and guests

Nothing i do not like.
Bram the owner is great. Knowing i am a solo female traveller and do not speak french he looked after me well. Took me to local store to buy a new travel adaptor on my second day, got me into a petite taxi all paying local rate not tourist rates. He is warm, cheerful and lovely. Room is clean, bed is very comfortable. Its a small riad but its not noisy. I walked everywhere. The street back to the riad is safe at night.

based my booking on current reviews. owner wasn't around which shortcuts the experience to average. staff can't process credit cards and doesn't speak french or english. no fruits for breakfast.
nice room, well decorated. hidden house as described by others.

They need to write the name of the riad in the door and/or in the corner. Now it is difficult to locate the first time, since the derb (small peatonal street) where it is located kind of a laberinth.
Everything was great in this riad. Brahim was really kind and he provided us with very useful tips to manage through Marrakech!
December 23, 2014
-our room was located on the roof, so it could get a bit cold (but the airconditioning warmed it up) -the entrance was a bit tricky, since there were no signs or text outside the riad
-our room was located on the roof, it was very beautiful and atmospheric - as was the whole riad. Believe it, like traight from a fairlytale - the airconditioning made the room nice and warm

It is our first experience travelled to marocco. And we have great fun. The owner, ibrahim, gave us a warm welcome when we arrived at riad, and also gave us tips and trick for travelling in the city of marocco. The room is traditional maroccoan style, which is perfect to experience the local culture. The room also clean, tidy, and provide nice hot shower. Overall, we recommend this riad.
December 18, 2014
Wifi signal was weak. The stuff (two ladies) spoke just very very basic English and French. The room and patio were gloomy. The rooms on the pictures look nicer than in reality. Our room was downstairs, so no privacy.
The breakfast was very good. The location is close to the Square and it is just on the edge of the main road - that is much better than a majority of other riads hidden in the small streets of Medina (that is difficult to find and easy to be scammed by locals awaiting for you).
December 14, 2014
Even though the booking can be made in English, the staff speaks french and arabic only which can prove problematic if you would like to arrange for anything.
Clean, comfortable, decent location, friendly staff, wifi.

Wasn´t easy to find. But very good location.
We felt welcome and the location was very good. We asked for an early breakfast and Basram was very flexible. Thanks!!!
November 26, 2014
It was quite gloomy even with the lights on as there is no externally-facing window. This is probably standard in Marrakech. As with many places, there is no plug for the bathroom sink. I understand you can purchase your own travel plug online if you need to shave etc. Just make sure it is a sink plug, not an electric plug (boom-boom!)
The Riad is administered by 'Brams' who is such a sweet and helpful guy. He is very modest about his English but his English is much better than my French! Lovely central courtyard where we had breakfast each morning. Bathroom is all tiled Moroccan-style and there are authentic colourful lamps and side window. Air-conditioning is unobtrusive and very effective. Security seemed fine. Really central with easy access to many places, once we found our way around. Again, Brams was really helpful with this!
