the family suite is superb, with its own terrace, comfortable and cool sleeping areas, lovely bathroom. A perfect place to stay in the Medina. Breakfast on the roof is excellent.

Friendly and helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. The map provided by the Riad was a great starting point for places of interest and recommendations of where to eat for all budgets. The room was large, clean and authentically decorated. Our room was just off the pool. The Riad had a kitten and it's mother, who were friendly and entertaining! Overall, a very enjoyable stay and we would highly recommend it!

If we had to make a criticism it would be that wifi was only available in communal areas. However as there were so many communal spaces this was not a problem. Lack of wifi in rooms was due to the Riad being an old building with thick stone walls and character, an easy compromise for us!

Beautiful old riad in the Kasbah, so great central space to stay

Badly laid out with most of the rooms on the ground floor around the swimming pool. Breakfast and meals also served around the pool in front of other people's open bedroom windows (on cheap, noisy metal tables and chairs). The two French women who run (own?) the business don't seem to care about anything other than booking trips and taxis so they can get their commission. Got the impression they are bored to death with the riad and treat it as a tiresome 10am to 6pm job, with guests creating continual petty annoyances for them. One of them never speaks. Outside these times, the running of the riad is left to the overburdened (although very helpful) night porter. He also serves breakfast single handly, which is truly, truly AWFUL - stale bread, congealed jam and a bowl of coffee (a grotty French motorway café would be ashamed to serve this). Lovely bedroom, but not much privacy and also a bad smell in drains in the bathroom. There are far better riad experiences to be had in Marakesh. Overpriced

Pool filter broke when we were there which was disappointing.

Water could have been provided as complimentary especially when so hot and not a budget hotel. These small things make all the difference

The setting was beautiful - calm and relaxing oasis in the heart of a busy and frantic city. The staff were lovely, and the food totally excellent. It was a perfect start to our holiday in Morocco. We only stayed 3 nights, before moving on to the Mountains for the rest of our holiday, but I would love to return.

There was nothing about the Riad that we didn't like.

The staff was extremely helpful and was very accommodating with organizing drivers and activities while my family and I were in Morocco.

The WiFi only works in the public areas and there is not WiFi in the rooms. This was more of a simple inconvenience and not a huge complaint. The WiFi was quick and worked well when you were in the designated areas.

The Riad was in a great location, in walking distance of all the sites. It was beautifully presented and well equipped.

WiFi was only available and very weak around the pool area, not in the rooms or anywhere else as advertised. We found the day staff to be uncommunicative and didn't even realise, as we weren't informed that meals could be requested. The bedside lamp blew a bulb and instead of changing it, they just removed the lamp from the room so I couldn't read at night. The toilet intermittently stopped flushing. Normally these things wouldn't worry me, but we paid a great deal more at this Riad than we had elsewhere and the service was pretty woeful.

Brigitte, Florence, Hamza and all the staff were very helpful and friendly, with good English as well as French spoken. Large rooms, attractively furnished, comfortable, and very clean. Very nice breakfast served by the lovely pool. Dinner also very good. Pretty roof terrace and garden. Very good value. In a quieter part of the Medina but not far to busier parts

We experienced a very nice time in the Riad Dar AlFarah. The rooms are rather big, with clean and well built bathroom adjourning. Enough closetspace for a lenghty stay is provided. Especially the personnel is more than just friendly. On own initiative they are forthcoming and really try everthing to make the stay as pleasant, as possible. The qualitiy of the breakfast is better than what is to be expected. They do not ask for absurd sums for beverages and offer help with dayplaning. I positively would a) reconmend this Riad to a friend and b) book there again. The overall level of english is very good as well.

The downside of the location - close to Djemna el fnaa - is a rather annoying group of beggars on the way to and from the riad. But this is the same with all riads close to the centre of Marrakech...

The staff were excellent, very helpful. The breakfast was our favourite (the yoghurt was amazing). The pool and the air conditioning were much appreciated on a very hot day!

The room wasn't sound proof as advertised - could hear the occasional scooter passing along the road.

Well decorated, breakfast was always quick and tasty.

Hotel layout seemed to echo right into our room, very distracting and tough to get to sleep. Wifi only worked in the common area. Surrounding neighborhood was a bit noisy and not an area that I felt comfortable walking around after dark. The dinner tasted good but was too expensive.

loved being so central, tucked away down a side street. Staff were lovely, very helpful, especially Hamza and Florence. Breakfast was good, room plenty big enough and very clean, comfortable bed. A very enjoyable stay - happy to recommend unreservedly.

Shower was a bit on the feeble side, but we managed!
