That we had to leave!
From the moment the door of Riad Dar Anika opened, we were transformed
and embraced into the Marrakech hospitality. The entire staff are so
genuine and welcoming, it's hard to describe without sounding like a
'paid reviewer'. We are a family of extensive world travellers,
and have enjoyed many, many 5 star hotels. You get 5 star service at
those hotels, but let me tell you: you have never experienced the
graciousness & service of Dar Anika. Authentic. Outstanding. Nothing
asked was too much. Abu & his staff organized everything for us.
Personal guided tour of the Medina and Souk. Camel rides. Guided driven
tour. Dinners at Dar Anika were beyond outstanding. Abu even organized
dancers and musicians from the Atlas mountains to entertain all the
guests one night. My 11 year old stated "Mom, I can't go
back". The food was that good. If you can impress us, with our
travel experience, a vegetarian, and two children - aged 11 & 13 -
all of whom had such an amazing experience - we felt we were treated as
family (and felt special!). I spoke with the other guests, and we all
felt the same. I made my decision to book here largely on other fellow
reviewers, and I actually thought 'it can't be that
great'....but it was! (Read the other reviews - they were right..) I
can tell you this: if you want one of the best experiences you can
imagine - book Dar Anika and let Abu and his staff coordinate it all for
you. Hammam, dinner, breakfast, tours, they did it all, and it was an
absolute authentic experience, and very affordable. Oh, did I mention
you step outside the Riad and you are right in the centre of the action
- within minutes to all the places you want to see. I called my 75 year
mother in Canada and told her that her next trip will be to Dar Anika.
We will be back. Do yourself a great favor and go here. There are only
12 rooms, which makes it feel like you really are 'at home'.
