Room was traditional and lovely. Little dip pool perfect. Staff very attentive and always happy to help you. Roof top lovely except one corner where a tent sits full of stuff- could be nicer
It was very nice stay.
Friendly Staff Great Food Clean, Comfortable Room
The staff was very attentive.
At times, the staff made you feel like you were getting something for free and then on then bill you were charged for it. They should be more clear about costs.
The individualised care and support you were given from the moment you passed through the door.
Absolutrly fabulous welcome and service throughout. We stayed here with two adults and two teenagers. Delicious breakfast, served on a wonderful roof terrace. A haven of peace right at the heart of the buzz of the Medina.
Transportation from the airport and it was my fault for not booking it with the Hotel
Friendly staff. Great service. Good Location, not far from the square, souk, Bahia palace and taxi stands are right across the street. Breakfast is awesome. Try Hammam!
My wife and I spent 4 nights at Dar Anika (June 2014) and were stoked with the beauty and the service of its staff. After our arrival at the Riad almost at midnight, we were welcomed with mint tea and very tasty local pastries. The riad is in a beautiful building with decorated rooms, a few steps to Djeema El-Fna Square. In our first morning, before we go out to discover the city, the manager (Abu) called us for a little talk about the riad services and give us some tips about the city. By the way, the riad is situaded close to most of main tourists point of interest and it's possible go to everywhere in the Medina with a short walk and in a 45-walking you can go to the new city as well. We decided to reserve a typical morrocan dinner in the riad. I've got no doubt to say that it was the most amazing dinner in our lifes. Everything was just perfect, incredible dishes and all the atmosphere around the Medina on the riad's rooftop. I really recommend have dinner in the riad, it's fabulous. The breakfest is also fantastic, with fresh fruit juices, warm breads and cakes. All the staff was very friendly, helpfull and polite. In general, it's a first class hotel. Special thanks to Abu and his staff for the amazing days that we had there. Definitely, we'll stay in Dar Anika when travel to Marrakech again.
I stayed here last year. A beautiful building, authentically decorated rooms, friendly staff, and an excellent breakfast, set right at the Medina.
Very comfortable, except when it was over 40 degrees, the air conditioning had trouble coping. But still, highly recommended.
Really thoughtful staff, allowed me late check-out, and even prepared some food for my way to the airport. Spa is great too. Restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, should definitely try the dinner, way better than those stands on the square.
Probably the best hotel experience I've ever had. A beautiful Riad with amazing service. We were both blown away by Dar Anika and it really added to holiday in Marrakech.
Sameer is the greatest host I have ever encountered on any vacation. A host can make or break a vacation and he made ours an experience we'll never forget. This is one of the nicest, cleanest, well maintained, truly first class places to stay in Morocco. The hospitality was world class. Would stay here anytime I travel to Marrakesh. Nothing can beat it, especially in the Medina.
The level of attention and hospitality from the staff was unexpected and greatly appreciated. It was our first time in Marrakesh, and someone met with us as soon as we arrived—after being served tea and tarts—to orient us to the city. The food at the hotel, for every breakfast and the one dinner we had there, was consistently excellent. The hotel was a short walk to Djema al-Fna' without being wrapped up in all of the commotion of the square.
Everything was perfect!!
Approach on edge of Medina is uninviting for an American. The neighborhood was choked, it was hard to find, and it was in the midst of the crowded stalls that make Marrakech famous. That said, once we found the tiny entrance door, we entered an incredibly beautiful hotel. Few rooms, large, with full size bed for our grandson, scrupulously clean, with good air conditioning. On arrival, uniformed porters jumped get our luggage, and we escorted into an air conditioned sitting room fro check in (rather than standing at the front desk) where the manager chatted with us as we filled out our registration, while staff poured rose water into our hands, gave us chilled wet wash clothes (it was incredibly hot outside the hotel), and brought us tea, sweet cakes, and genuine warmth in conversation. Small clean swimming pool in the lobby, roof deck for incredible breakfast, and a desire to please us in any way they could. A true Oasis in the desert. Would definitely return here if ever in Marrakech again. Turn left outside the hotel door and you are in the Medina in 8 feet, and a 5 minute walk through interesting street to central square where all the action is. Good restaurants nearby, check with hotel desk to find those with reliable food sanitation. Those in the square are unregulated and can be suspect.
Loved every bit of our stay in the hotel.
Very personalised stay. On arrival, welcomed with dates, tea and biscuits. Then very beneficial discussion with Samir of what we'd like to do during our stay to come up with a helpful itenary including places to eat etc to ensure everything would be covered during our 4 day trip. Staff were very polite. Always willing to help. Prompt in responding to any requests e.g. On requesting an iron. Amazing breakfast on the terrace. Beautiful riad in good location. When the taxi first brought us to the location and we were walking up to the riad we were slightly anxious on what was awaiting us as we walked a short distance into a small alley however we were pleasantly surprised on what was awaiting us. Serene on the inside away from the hustle and bustle of the streets of Marrakech. As we learnt during our stay, never judge a book by it's cover. We went to some beautiful places and palaces which we never expected looking from the outside. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty during our stay. We had a late flight on our last day so we were kindly allowed to remain in our room after the checking out time and were provided with a packed lunch for our flight which was a nice touch. Very impressed with stay at Dar Anika and would thoroughly recommend. Only regret was not having more time in Morocco to stay and enjoy the riad a bit more.
An absolutely fabulous experience. The staff, location and facilities were just fantastic! cant wait to return there...thank you Dar Anika staff for making the trip to Marrakesh even more comfortable and enjoyable.
The staff were wonderful. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Abu helped us to plan our short stay wonderfully with great suggestions of where to visit and routes marked out on a map. Can't wait to return.
Is this Riad as good as the reviews make it out to be? We booked this Riad on the back of the outstanding reviews given by other guests that stayed at the Dar Anika. So lets cut to the chase – Is this Riad as good as the reviews make it out to be? In short yes. Dar Anika gets a 10/10 from us and deservedly so. This establishment is run along the same ethos as Richard Branson runs Virgin Atlantic Airlines. It’s all about customer service and attention to detail so what follows is a more detailed insight into our stay. On arrival at Marrakesh we were greeted by Anil who held up a board with ‘Dar Anika”. Anil was our VIP driver who took our bags from us and drove us to the Dar Anika Riad for our 4-night stay. The transport was clean, comfortable (spacious leather seating) with cool air con for the 15-minute journey. On arrival at the Dar Anika we were warmly greeted at the door by the manger (Samir) and as we walked through into the Courtyard, Samir introduced us to Fadwal who was standing tall and proud, carrying a big smile as she greeted us and held out a long freshly cut stemmed Red Rose for my wife to receive. Wow what a stunning reception! Samir and Fadwal then introduced us to the staff that took our bags to our room (Suite – Room 2) whilst we were asked to take breakfast on the roof top gardens and unwind after our 3 hour 15 minute flight from the UK. After breakfast we sat with Samir who explained the Do’s and Don’ts of Marrakesh when visiting the Medina. Samir also mapped out some quality restaurants for us to eat in (new and old town) and a whole lot more…….. We stayed in a Suite (Room 2). It was a stunning room; rose petals decorated the fresh white bed linen in the shape of a heart with a fresh bouquet of flowers placed on the centre of the bed. Above the bed was a stunning sky light dome feature we became an even better feature of an evening. We decided to have our first nights dinner at the Dar Anika and wow we did not go disappointed.
Friendly staff, who made a lot of effort to help and look after us. Some nice touches like remembering I was vegetarian and making effort around vegie food. Inuding a vegie packed dinner to take on our flight home. Good advice on where to go and what to see.
The car arranged by the riad to get you around town and take the hassle out of taxi's was considerably more expensive than walking out on the street and getting a cab for 20dn - a bit of a hidden cost as you are billed at the end. Not so good on a bit of a budget!
The staff was perfect and they are very helpfull for everything you need
Amazing customer service The best location you can get Great staff
Dar Anika is extremely well run - very clean, everything in good condition and superbly appointed for a relaxing stay, The service is a step above anything I have experienced - Leila looked after us from online booking to the day we left.....
