staff was extremely kind, helpful and patient with kids. rooms were beautiful, roofdeck fabulous and peaceful.
we had a 2 room suite and found it odd that there was only a thin mostly glass door separating us from one of the other guest rooms.
The staff were very keen to help and friendly.
staff couldn't have been more helpful, roof terrace lovely ,and after the first day found it easy to find our way to and from the riad and felt very safe.
nothing, but for other travelers the flights of stairs maybe a problem. Its worth booking airport transfer with the riad if your want to find the place in the first place.
Right in the centre of the medina, a great and peaceful place to get back to after a busy day. The staff were so friendly and helpful and treated you like family. Breakfast and drinks on the roof were great with amazing views. You need to get them to collect you as very hard to find. Once you are there it is worth it !!
Everything was fabulous. The Riad was like walking into an oasis after walking through the busy narrow winding of the Medina. Very unexpected pleasant surprise. ALL the Staff couldn't do enough to help us. Location for exploring the Souks was perfect.
The atmosphere is calming and delightfully authentic. The staff are wonderful, helpful and caring. The simple meals are beautifully prepared and served in the rooftop terrace dining area. Our room was charming. The massage was well timed for the weary traveller.
Ideally I would have liked a larger bed, but it was very comfortable.
lovely decor friendly staff good hamman great breakfasts and dinners lovely roof terrace homely
Was abit hard to find, as the cab can only take you so far, but for a fee one of the locals will happily take u; make sure u agree a price beforehand as its only a short walk. A few euros is more than enough. But we only needed to be shown the route once and thats it. In terms of location, is very close to the souk and the local market. We booked all our trips through the hotel and ordered our cabs there as the prices are more reasonable. The hotel will advise you on anything you need to know. Hotel food is good and staff are very friendly. Wifi good, two routers; v.good connection on roof top. Felt very safe there. Also, if you speak French it helps alot. I would go bk to hotel again and thrn maybe see another city aswell. If u explored as much as me and my friend you can do the whole area in four days, we didnt use a map once.
There are no street signs, but if you remeber landmark's and shop signs you will be fine. Road/pavement very busy, but if you walk like you dont care they will drive around you; hestitating to cross is more dangerous.
A beautiful riad, an oasis of calm in an often crazy Marrakech. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, clean comfortable rooms. Great food, went out of there way to supply veggie meals, delicious. Would 100% recommend it.
orderliness and peace
very modest breakfast
This hotel is first rate with great service and very good food, they made us very welcome. I would reccomend this hotel for an authentic moroccan experience 1st class.
staff great lovely atmosphere great views lovely terraces massage and pool great
bit hard to find but we got our bearings after a day or two
Spotlessly clean Great room on first floor with terrace- dark, quiet, cool Super roof top area although limited shade Staff did their best WIFI coverage
Shower - water pressure low and either scolding or cold No food choice - one dish only lunch and dinner can't even get a sandwich Rooms on ground floor dingy and no privacy outside room as on open area Cats - albeit they were not as obtrusive as reviews read Breakfast / they can't cope before 8.30 am
Hidden down a narrow street, behind an unassuming door, you'll find this gem of a hotel. The rooms are clean and well appointed, the staff are friendly and helpful, the common areas of the hotel are peaceful and very pretty. The roof terrace is a great place to relax and drink mint tea while the sounds of the city bustle around you. Hearing the evening call to prayer drifting over the Medina is a fantastic experience. The hotel restaurant was among the best that we tried, the food was always delicious and freshly made. Breakfast on the terrace with freshly squeezed orange juice is a great way to start your day. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Location was quiet but not too far from the centre. The Riad was beautifully decorated centred around 2 courtyards with a maze of steps and rooms off the centre. Lots of lovely outdoor space to sit and relax. Rooms were beautifully furnished and breakfast was good.
It was very hidden away with no signage so took a little while to find your way back when you first arrived.
We loved the terrace with the smell of Jasmine and comfy seating . Our bedroom was delightful wonderful air conditioning great bathroom with lovely toiletries
For us it was the lack of the kettle in the room for that first drink of the day or when you wanted one last thing at night or a fridge to keep things cold
Atmosphere and location
Great place to stay and explore from, a very welcome sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of marakech. staff very relaxed and helpful, room basic but what i expected from a traditional riad, clean and very comfy bed!. Would recommend to friends / family
Lack of room security
We loved the riad, we received a very warm welcome on arrival and every morning for breakfast there was a big smile. The staff seem genuinely interested in our happiness and what we had planned everyday. The bed was very comfortable and our room was cleaned daily. The WiFi worked eventually and we had a hammam and massage at the riad which was lovely. The staff definitely made our holiday. We would definitely stay there again.
We had trouble with our luggage as in it didn't arrive when we did, so we had to collect it from the airport the next day which we had to pay for. This obviously wasn't the fault of the riad but later we found out if you order a taxis through the raid you will pay twice as much as a taxis in the street. When we questioned the manager he agreed to discount one of the charges. Also we were told when our shower didn't work that the water pressure in Marrakech was poor in the mornings, however it didn't work most of the time and forget about it being hot. The breakfast is traditional but after a 5 days of the same thing it gets a bit boring especially if your not into bread. We had a problem with the lock on our door but it was soon replaced with a new one the same day.
The room we had was simply beautiful, very very spacious, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and most of all always very clean! The staff were the sweetest we have ever met ...especially Yesin who was always there to assist us. The location was very close to the Souk and few minutes away from the Jardin Majorelle. We would like to thank the staff at the Riad for making our holiday very special. Ohhh by the way the Hammam and Massage was fantastic :) Hope to see you all again soon!
Friendliness of staff Hamman/massage facilities Good food (choice limited)
Some way from the main square - but once you have your bearings - this is fine.
Everything was excellent
Cleanliness was good along with the Hammum but that's all that was good about our stay at this Riad, reception staff just constantly on the mobiles phones late at night, playing their music really loud when trying to sleep, and not able to cater for vegetarians even though on the email when booking, very poor experience but we didn't let it spoil our experience of Marrekesh :) :-D
As above breakfast boring on a daily basis :( its not difficult but such a let down :-(
The staff were excellent very helpful always cheerful and provided good information and help. The food in the restaurant was also good value for money and some of the dishes were delicious.
The room could be described as "shabby chic" but it was cheap and we would have preferred more options at a higher price. The lighting in the room was abysmal about two candles of power. They also do with getting more efficient transfers we could not find the driver at the airport and for the return journey the driver could not find the Riad making us late for check in.
