Located in the medina, in Mouassine district, a 7-minute walk from Jamaa El Fna Square, Ryad Zouina is a riad decorated in a traditional style.

The staff were very helpful, and the accommodation fantastic, it was like stepping into another world
There was nothing we didn't like
The best thing about this Riad is the staff. Upon greeting us they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, invited, comfortable, and that we enjoyed our stay. However above that, the Riad, while hard to find initially, is situated at the heart of the Medina, but in a strange part that escapes the noise and commotion of trading and bargaining. I highly recommend this place for first timers because a the shock of a new culture, especially for westerners, is alleviated slightly with hospitality and a comfortable and quiet place.
Beware of the scammers after you are dropped off from a taxi, you do not have to pay those guys! Also, the card machine seems to be not working, so you may have to have cash for checkout!
You couldn't feel more welcomed and cared for. They will help you with any information and need and always be with a smile on their face. The house has a beautiful terrace and comfortable leaving rooms. Birds nest on the huge Bougainville in the yard. The house is secluded yet close to many attractions and within easy reach from main square.
The room(jawhara) was beyond our expectations! It was huge with our own little balcony, a bathroom wich was bigger than a lot of previous hotelrooms! Very friendly staff and a very good location in the medina
The wifi and hot water did not work the day we arrived but was taken care for really quick! So that was positive as well
As my mother is a celiac I was concerned that it may be hard to source gluten free bread, however Lorena (the hostess) went above and beyond ensuring my mom had fresh bread every morning. She was a delight and a credit to the Riad. Our room was very clean and authentic in style.
My sister and I did not find the breakfasts substantial and we do not have huge appetites.
I can't speak highly enough of this lovely Riad, and the kind, personal service I had whilst staying there. Travelling solo, it was a beautiful little oasis, Exceptionally peaceful, amazing location with a great breakfast served each morning on the rooftop terrace. A home away from home. For an authentic, intimate Moroccan Riad at a fair price, this is the place.
Lovely Lorina the host was very friendly and helpful. The Riad was lovely and tranquil with a nice terrace that you could sit and dine on. Food was good and it was handy to the Medina.
Different room from the reserved %50 more money asked as tax (€16/day/person)! Very hard to find Hot water available after 15 min. Different dinner from the offered Very weak breakfast
Stayed at Dar Eliane three times during this trip to Morocco. The staff are lovely, the rooms are great, and the location for exploring the Medina is brilliant. Small but tasty breakfast, excellent coffee, and great meals upon request. Clean, comfortable, and very relaxed.
The decoration of the Riad is absolutely amazing, perfect, ideal. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Despite being sick (the owner of the riad) she woke up at 6am to make our breakfast because we had to leave early. The terrace is espectacular. They found us a very cheap horse chariot ride around the new city. The excursion to Essaouira was incredible and at a good price.
They took like one hour to pick us up from the taxi in the Medina to the Riad. We were really afraid. Welcome dinner and taxi to the train station were very expensive. There was a lot of cigarette smell in the Riad. The tour guide from the Riad wasnt a tour guide. Didnt speak english nor spanish. Didnt tell us anything about Marrakesh, just walked around with us without saying anything and helped us to get to the most famous attractions, although i had to tell him where i wanted to go. Its a little bit far away from the main square, where there are a lot of restaurants.
The bedroom was really great. Manager was very helpful and welcoming. Great location next to souks and 10-15 mins to main square.
Dripping water feature on ground floor was annoying. Could hear every conversation in the riad.
location very close to the souks and various sights in walking distance. One actually does not need taxis in Marrakesh except the airport transportation! all in walking reach. Staff was helpful and nice. Room with local furniture.
Breakfast very rare, only coffee and bread with jam. Once other guests or hotel staff start talking, all other guests hear it.
The first room was perfect, clean and comfortable. It's a beautifull Riad. They welkomed us with tea.
We had to switch rooms at the last night. The new room didn't have towels and the toilet didn't flush. The biggest dissapointment was that we found out at the last minute, while our taxi was waiting to bring us to the airport, that we couldn't pay with credit card or any other card. This caused us to almost mist our flight.
I really have to thank you for this wonderful holiday at Riad Dar Eliane. I really travel a lot but I never experienced such courteous staff and nicely decorated rooms. After entering the Riad after a hot day in Marrakech streets you immediately feel relaxed even if you stay in the courtyard or have a drink at the chilly Roof top terrace. Do not hesitate to order the Riad Dar Eliane menu and enjoy the marrocan food on the Roof top terrace. You will like the yummy dessert! Rich breakfast will always be served with a simile even if you have to catch a early flight in the morning:-) Enjoy you staying at Riad Dar Eliane, it is the best place to discover Marrakech and the souks, you will never regret it!
The time in Riad Dar Eliane went by too fast...
Staff. Breakfast. Decor
WiFi didn't reach the bed. Nothing else, it was fab!
The breakfast was terrific (would recommend if weather is nice to eat on the rooftop terrace) and the Riad was close enough to the square. The rooms were very well designed and looked amazing!
Other reviews have already said this, but the place is difficult to find at first. Once you've been there, finding your way back is not too difficult. The layout of the Riad is such that you can hear most of what is going on in the common areas.
The welcome was lovely and the staff were very pleasant.
Perhaps it was because it was out of season or perhaps it is just not one of the more popular raids but it lacked atmosphere. It was also extremely cold in the evening something that was not so apparent at the other raids I stayed at during the same week. I think a bit more effort needs to be put into making guests want to spend time in the communal areas during the evening as it felt like a dark empty house with no inviting atmosphere.
Staff were extremely helpful as we had a few dilemmas to solve. Beautiful decor!
Nightmare to find - but they will send someone to meet you if necessary.
Attention to detail genuine friendly staff cleanliness
Everything was clean and comfortable. Beautiful decor. They arranged a pickup from the airport for both me and my wife who arrived separately and we were both safely guided to the door of the riad. We were welcomed with a delicious dinner in a lovely upstairs dining area. Overall it's an incredible value and wish we could have stayed longer, but they were booked for the weekend.
The shower was not quite warm, not quite cold, but on a cool winter night it was tough to bear. The english communication before arriving was difficult over the phone, but contact thru email was better and they were always quick to respond.
A beautiful riad - the rooms were spacious, very clean and so comfortable! The whole hotel is small, but perfect - with a courtyard, and a quiet roof terrace. Breakfast was very good - and we ate in the riad one night, which was also excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. In terms of location, as well, it was great to be in the heart of the medina - chaotic, of course, but that made a return back to the riad even more wonderful at the end of each day!
Be aware that - like all hotels in the medina - you can't access it directly by taxi. It's not a far walk to places where you can pick up taxis, but note that - when you arrive and leave - you have to pay a porter to take your luggage to the riad (on top of your taxi fare).
The riad was very traditional and the staff was very accomodating. I would most definitely recommend the stay for the price and the location. The riad was walking distance to everything!
