Fantastic room with a wonderfully comfortable bed and brilliant shower. Breakfast was very good. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the owner was lovely. Highly recommend this Riad.
Would have been nice to have had some literature about what was in the local area to see and do and how to get about. Staff were very friendly but a bit of a language problem and we had lots of questions.
The log fire in the communal sitting room was a delight as was the Hammam that we had the sole use of when we wanted. The hotel staff couldn't have been kinder and more efficient. We had breakfast and dinner during our three night day stay and they were all of the highest standard and absolutely delicious. We can't recommend this highly enough.
Little oasis - staff were fabulous: friendly, helpful and interacted with humour and courtesy. The Riad was beautiful. Breakfast yummy and whilst we didn't have dinner, the supper they provided late one night was delicious. With only 6 rooms (3 suites and 3 double rooms), it felt very private. A must for a larger group of friends - taking over the whole place would be superb.
The Riad is gorgeous, intimate and great value for money. The location is great if you want to avoid the chaos of the Medina. It's surrounded by sights worth visiting (the Saadien Tombs, the Palais de Bahia, the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), etc.) and you're close enough to the new city if you want some more upscale restaurants. Breakfast was delicious and available at any time, which made our stay so much more relaxing.
It felt like the attention we received diminished progressively during our stay. So much so that by the time we checked out, nobody was there to go over the bill with us or help us with our on-going travel. Also, we were greatly overcharged (more so than on any other occasion) when we ordered a taxi via the hotel staff -it felt like we had been set up. We learnt the hard way that it's always worth going out to the street and hailing a cab (felt very safe and price was at least 2 thirds cheaper).
Very atmospheric and romantic. The original beauty and history of this stunning Riad has been maintained perfectly with all modern extras added seamlessly. Would love to come back soon. Clean, comfortable, calming and a real pleasure to day in.
Nothing, the only negative was that at times the staff on duty didn't speak any English so with our very limited French it was a bit difficult to communicate!
I like the attentiveness of the staff. accommodated any request that I had. Love the setting and the décor with an authentic Marrakesh flavor. I received a very personal attention.I had the opportunity of visiting other Riads and this was by far the best. I highly recommend Riad Dar Karma
Magical Riad, lovely rooms - all interesting, welcoming friendly staff, delicious meals ----a wonderful place to stay !!!!. No hassle airport transfers.
Not enough local information.
Location was excellent. Service, friendly staff, clean rooms. Very relaxing break
Everything, beautiful Riad, lovely staff.
Could have done with maybe some more info on the area, its very easy to get lost!
My aunt and I were in Marrakech for my friend's wedding events in different riads and hotels around the city. After comparing Riad dar Karma to other (even much more expensive) places we truly felt glad to be staying there. The staff were so accommodating that they even sent a driver shopping for something we couldn't find ourselves, and they stopped serving me a fruit that I had mentioned I was allergic to. Dinners at Dar Karma were fully comparable to top-class (and super pricey!) Moroccan restaurants. The riad's location was just perfect-- easy way in-and-out of the main road, yet quiet and peaceful. As I said, we stayed in three different hotels and Dar Karma was the cleanest, the most comfortable, and the best located/safest. As two women by ourselves (one in her 60s, the other in her 30s) this was key to us. We would definitely recommend Dar Karma to anyone going to Marrakech, and are hoping our comments truly reflect how happy we were to have stayed there!
The only thing we didn't like was finding out the Euro-Dirkham exchange rate at check-out rather than up front at booking. We felt the owner's fixed rate was higher than others' so make sure you check beforehand! Also, paying in cash saves you a credit card fee.
Beautiful Riad, clean excellent location. Relaxed atmosphere in middle of the bustling medina.
Beautifully decorated and very stylish Riad. Very easy to find and located in pleasent neighborhood, also at night time Breakfast at the rooftop
Everything was wonderful
