The friendliness and helpful owner and staff. Very eager to help whenever possible, going beyond the call of duty. Arranged airport transfer at reasonable cost. Would stay there again without hesitation.

We were so well looked after. Aziz was the most fantastic host. So kind and helpful and went above and beyond to help us with all aspects of our stay. We had dinner there twice and it was the best food we had in the whole two weeks we spent in Morocco.

We couldn't ask for anything more. We had a lovely stay, Aziz and Fatima are fantastic, they really go the extra mile. The riad is in a perfect location, so silent and quiet at night. The place is beautiful, clean, amazing, different breakfast every morning. We had a tasty tangine and couscous one night, very very generous portion and delicious. We book the taxi from them too, so you don't have to trouble once you get to the airport, went smooth and perfect. In general is such a good value for money this riad, that I would not look any further if you want excellent customer service, lovely place, and a pleasant vacation. Thanks Aziz and Fatima you made it wonderful!

Run by v friendly proprietor & his wife

Facilities v basic. Not explained in the write up. Basically student level facilities. We wouldn not have booked if the description had been more accurate. Not necessarily a reflection on the riad but it is a reflection on the publicity

Our whole stay at Riad Dar Mchicha was brilliant, the staff were excellent, very helpful and providing a brilliant breakfast every morning. Our room was perfect, traditionally decorated and very comfortable.

The wifi signal didn't reach our room bit apart from that our stay was perfect!

We stayed in this small Riad for 3 nights. It's located on the edge of the medina, and even though there was a busy street of shops and restaurants near us, we couldn't hear any noise during the night. You can reach the main square Jamaa el-Fnaa by walking in 10-15 minutes, though finding the fastest route through the medina took us some tries. Offline maps and a GPS on phone were a great help when trying to find the way back to the hotel. Breakfast was typical and enough for us, pancakes were included (both beghrir and msemen on different days). Orange juice was freshly squeezed. The room had a heater and there was an air conditioner. We stayed here in the beginning of February and the nights were cold, so heater was important. The room also had extra blankets. Bed was made daily, towels were not changed. Small bars of soap were offered, bring your own shower gel and shampoos. The owner was very helpful and the service was great: we finished water one evening and my husband went to get some from the reception. They had no bottles left, but the owner quickly ran outside to get us some, it was very nice of him. We also had a dinner at the hotel when we first arrived in the evening, after 12 hours of bus trip from Merzouga. This dinner (vegetable starters, couscous with chicken and vegetables and fruits as a dessert) turned out to be free of charge.

Wi-Fi signal was weak and didn't reach our room ("Siamoise") too well. It works great in the breakfast / dining area though. For a young couple like us the staircase was no problem but reaching this particular room on the rooftop could definitely be a problem for someone with any knee or leg problems (although, staircases are very similar in every Riad I've been to).

Simly decoreted (of course depense of room who would be accommodate, rooftop one is simple on the other hand you will get almost privat roof for yourself). Not easy to find, but ryad is offering to meet you and bring you there for first time. What does place very special place to be is Aziz (manager) and his perfect english and will to alway help you. We Not only got friendly place to be in Marrakesh but also help with advices. Once again thanks to Mr. Aziz for everything.

Very great Riad! Well furnished, in great position. The owner is the real added value: always nice, always ready to help and caring about guests! Great position, close to heart of Medina, but very quiet and silent. Great breakfast.

Excellent hosts even provided a local mobile phone to use in case we got lost Excellent location in old town Took us to Atlas mountains and taught us to make a tagine E mailed us a couple of days before to provide taxi transfer - just 12 euros for 4

Our fault we hadn't checked the temperature range - it is several hundred metres up so as we stayed over New Year - weather is warm - upto 25 degrees in day - but similar to UK at night , - lots of blankets provided cover now fitted over courtyard but do take coats etc

We stayed at Riad Dar Mchicha for our last 2 nights in Morocco following a 10 day trip and it was by far the best place we stayed in Morocco (including another Riad in Marrakesh we stayed in on our first 2 nights). The things that stood out were: - The owner and staff were very friendly, welcoming, helpful and generous - The Riad and our room was clean, comfortable and very practical - The decor was really well done and there is a great room for relaxing on the top level - The breakfast was great and the wifi was fast and reliable - The location is perfect - you walk straight out into the Souks and it's about a 5-10 min walk to the main square

We were with our guide when we had to find the Riad, so didn't have any problems, but I imagine it would be hard to find without help.

This place was just right after staying in two other hotels this topped it for me and my son. It was very homely and the owner made us very welcome. He helped us with directions and everything we asked about and more. We were even given home cooked Tagines which my son was really pleased with and he also showed us how to cook it, my son then cooked it the next day and treated everyone including other guests which really made it feel as though it was one big family. Did prefer home cooked than eating out.The riad was very clean and tidy. The courtyard was lovely had a banana tree in the centre very tall and had jasmine and the scent was so...but only in the evening. The souks and the main square were only a few minutes walk which was good so we didn't have far to walk. Overall it was great stay couldn't really say anything negative at all.

The hotel was very dirty, the sheets looked as they had not been changed in a long time, it was very dusty. The facilities were all breaking to pieces and the room needed maintenance. It was so bad we left within the hour and stayed somewhere else.
