Nothing to complain! Top service for that price.
The Riad is top located with an awesome view to the sea and the harbour from my he terrasse. Abdul the housekeeper is very friendly and anxious. Waited for us and picked us up directly from the main place - no long search for the Riad. Same with the stuff, very friendly and helpful.

We arrived very late to the property, and this seemed very disliked by the gentleman who had the keys to the property. Even though we called on the day and advised him so . He agreed that no problem for the time of arrival. I had to call him a few times and few times the phone was hang up. Finally got in to the accommodation.
Our stay was really wonderful at this property, breakfast was delicious, we do however regret to say that the weather was not that great, so we really could not see most of the views due to the fog from our room or the terrace at breakfast, but it added a different type of setting to our break. Which was really nice. The Riad’s location is privileged, merely a few steps from the central square, near the harbour and within minutes from both the centre of the Médina and the beach. Very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is in a very unique place and quite small but different. If you are open to unique design and architecture this is the place to be. We would stay here again.

Nothing - the Wi-Fi was only on the first floor, which was fine since we only used it to load up maps and check in with our families.. But be aware if you are really into WiFi
Our stay at Riad De Pa Mer was incredible. It was comofortable, clean, and beautiful. We stayed on the top floor, and had an amazing view from our roof. It was close to everything, but tucked away enough to feel quiet and peaceful. We were the only people checked in for the two nights we were there, and it felt magical to have the place to ourselves.

Abdul and his family are nice but he wasn't as helpful as we though, we have a hard time to find him during the day to ask for a extra heater or blanket, cos the room was very cold. There isnt even a radiator or anything to heat the house or the common areas so we decided to stay at our room where it was a tiny electrical heater to keep us a bit warm. the bathroom is separated of the room and it seems was building for a hobbit, there's no chance to be stand up and have a shower. The hot water run just for 5 minutes...it was very dificult to comunicate with Abdul because he doesn't speak English or Spanish and he seems very busy to care or give a basic information when your arrive. You have the chance to talk with him during the breakfast...if he appears.
I liked the location, the house is in the heart of the Medina, close to the big square and we booked the apartment at the top, it has a roof terrace..you can see 360º of blue sea&white Essaouira. I imagine the house and commun areas must be fresh in summer but the house in January is too cold. The decor is ok, the breakfast is ok, the best thing is having it at the terrace overlooking the harbour. We really enjoy the nice weather in January and the views from the top apartment are the best in Essaouira, but I really think this is a house just for spring or summer

Abdul and his family could not have been more helpful, especially when we experienced an unexpected crisis and they swung into supportive action immediately. The riad, a traditional local house with interiors from a finer age, is located between the town's main square and its ramparts, between busy narrow streets, the beach of fine sand and the fishing harbour, with shops, cafes, restaurants and bars to hand. The scene can be enjoyed from the rooftop terrace during breakfast. Abdul will arrange transfer/guide between coach stops and the riad if you phone him.

I would highly recommend the riad to another family: plenty of room and real old-world charm. Diane was also very informative about the apartment before we travelled.

The steps, the steps the steps, we were on the 3 floor, my 65 year old husband nearly had a heart attack taking our heavy suitcase up the steep, narrow steps, the wifi is advertised "in all areas" but only the room on the ground floor worked, in the room description in bookings.com, it said our studio apartment had a fridge, which it did not, but it did have a communal fridge, the shower was the worst I had in two weeks in Morocco, the towel and linen not changed during our three night stay, could not lock apartment door once inside, lock broken, I informed Abdul, the first morning, but it was not fixed during our stay, staff did not speak English, There is nobody there at night if help is required,
Abdul picked us up from the bus station, he was very helpful and courteous, we were able to understand each other, the view from the roof terrace was fantastic, windy at times, very quiet,it's location was near the square, close to everything,

It is a bit cold at times and incredibly echoey so there is very little privacy. It does not have a cosy feel to it.
This riad is well situated and has lots of room. Excellent if you need loads of space. The staff are very kind and accommodating. The terrace has nice views.

No sitting area, no view from apartment.
Great location. Easy to find. Comfortable beds and great shower.

Our top floor room started to flood when it rained and wind blew hard. We were able to change rooms and rain is rare in Essaouira, but still. The Riad is impossible to find without a guide. In a way this is a good thing, because there were sometimes drug dealers right around the corner.
Very nice rooms and a good location.

The property isnt marked, there is no sign whatsoever. Really hard to find. The owner provides a nice handbook with instructions where to meet the Riad manager if you book the place well in advance. Internet has great speed and stability, but is available only in the lobby but not in rooms and terrace.
The rooftop terrace is amazing, a little windy though. Its close to the souk, loads of places to grab a bite. The staff is super, they only speak french but try hard to understand english aswell.
