- Dirty rooms, smells terribly - Mould - You have to eat where the owner sleeps, in his 'bed'
Very frienly and kind staff! Great food, wonderfull place in the Medina. Next time we'll be there again!
The place is a bit too wet ( we were there in dicember ) but is probably a general problem of Fez.
The staff were amazingly friendly and very hospitable, we were able to have an extra room at no extra cost. Furthermore, all the breakfast was very punctual and they even gave free evening meals at times. Very impressed by the hospitality of all the staff members.
The bathrooms require modernisation. The AC didn't work and there was no external windows to the room.
Location was good and the riad is beautiful, the bed was big and very comfy. The views from the terrace are amazing, and the breakfast was the best we had on our trip to Morocco.
There was a smell in the bathroom coming from the pipes that was a bit unpleasant and even if the location of the riad is good, it is hard to find without help.
The staff was great, they wanted to help you with anything you need. The rooms are clean, the location is ok, but in Fes I think it's better to book a hotel near Bab Boujloud. The terrace view is amazing. The breakfast is the same every morning, very good.
I didn't like that the staff wanted to sell you all kind of things at european prices. But if you are friendly with them, they don't get upset like others here said. The rooms are clean, the problem is the entire Riad must be reconditioned. It's old!
Abdul (the owner) is very helpful and he will manage everything what you want. They serve delicious food building is typical riad. From the terrase is beautiful view to the old medina
Hard to find, the best solution is to contact Abdul and he would pick you up from the main road
The view from the terrace and breakfast.
One of the rooms was very small, with a narrow, smelly bathroom. The other room was normal. The two rooms were barely illuminated. If you don't get a guide, you won't find the riad, as almost riads in Fès.
Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, got a better room after the first night for no extra charge, good and diversified breakfast, very nice terrace upstairs and traditional design.
Not extremely clean but decent.
Amazing place to stay Great, nice and helpful stuff! Great Food!
The riad is located very central in the medina. Take the taxi to Place Rcif and then go on by foot. It is hard to find the first time, but you can just call the riad and somebody will come to pick you up. The riad is very nice. We booked a suite that is a little bit larger than the double rooms and has a larger bathroom. The rooms are quite dark but that doesn't matter because the riad has a beautiful terrace with a great view where you can spend your evenings. The staff was very friendly. They brought great breakfast to the terrace every morning and sat there with us in the evening smoking shisha.
It wasn't possible to pay with credit card. The room description is a bit exaggerated. It is not 35m² big and does not have a TV. Nobody needs that anyway, I just don't know why they put it in the description.
This was the first place we stayed in Morocco and what a nice beginning it was! The rooms are airconditioned, great view from the terrace, breakfast is nice but mainly the staff is super helpful, chilled and makes you feel very welcome.
The wifi was quite weak but you can't have everything ;)
Far from main road, middle of no where , hard to find by self. Please ask how much $$€€¥¥££ for help before someone shows you way to hotel or else .
Staff very helpfull. We ate in the terrace. Food was very good and cheap. Riad is very nice.
Difficult to find it. Local people offers to take you in the riad bat you have to pay them. If you don't pay they get angry and aggressive. Sometime in room we had bad small
The manager of the hotel is very friendly and it was a surprise that he speaks Spanish. The breakfast was really complete and delicious. The hotel is located rally near of the medina.
The bathroom was too narrow and the shower was not separated from the toilet. But this also depends on what kind of room are you recieving.
Staff, Mohammed and Said were exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering useful information/ recommendations for activities/sights, providing guides to assist with an excursion into the medina and to accompany us to a restaurant on our 1st night of arrival, and carrying our bags to taxi point (nearest medina gate) on day of our departure. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, probably the best we experienced in Morocco out of a range of hotels we stayed in, some a great deal more expensive than Riad Doha, with Said very kindly rising at 6.30am on the morning of our leaving to ensure we had breakfast prior. In all, a very laid back and hospitable budget option in Fes.
our room/ensuite bathroom quite dark, cramped and small, albeit for price paid I feel it's perhaps unfair to even highlight this.
Price is a big plus. Breakfast is also good, big and each day they add something new, so it isn't monotonous.
We didn't like big fat cockroach in our bathroom! After trying to kill it myself, it hid behind the wardrobe and when I found a staff member (Said) he immediately relocated us in a different room (so that's a plus), but afterwards a Riad owner acted like we are over-reacting. The same man (Mohammed is his name) also always tried to sell us different activities in Fes and when we refused him a couple of times, he lost his initial friendly approach. Also equipment in bathroom is a bit rusty, so watch out where to hang your clothes.
The staff is just amazing! Very friendly people, I felt like at home, I stayed there only for a couple of nights, but I'd like to remain for a month! Nice atmosphere, comfortable, clean rooms, perfect location.
..............nothing at all
The Riad is in a very beautiful place (very traditional). It is not far from the centre. The room was nice (Moroccan furnished). The staff was very politely and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. And the Riad has a terrace with a beautiful view.
The staff was really nice and very helpful. The place is just a few minutes walking to the center of the medina and, best of all, it's comfortable. The rooms are air-conditioned and the wifi signal was good in our room, which was a bonus. The also brought breakfast to our room!
Breakfast was excellent.
Very difficult to get to with heavy bags, or if you have difficulty with the incline as they were quite steep in places and were a distance from the car drop off area. It is also difficult to find if you did not get someone from the Riad to help you. One of the staff was very intimidating as he as always sitting nearby listening to all conversations and didn't like it because we did not use him as a guide. He was very nosy and wanted to know what we were doing all the time. He also did not inform us that the credit card machine was not working and when we were checking out this is when he informed us. Luckily we had enough cash but we were nearly in the position of not being able to pay and we had a car waiting for us so we did not have time to find an ATM machine( not easy to find in the medina) He became very with us even though it was not our fault.
The room was clean , spacy and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, helpful and generous! The view from the terrace is amazing, it's the ideal place to spend your night staring at the view of the medina and the stars!
Friendly staff. Good location.
The terrace has an incredible view it's a good place to chill out after a long day in Fes.
The location! The riad was IMPOSSIBLE to reach by yourself, they should have a non chargeable pick up service at least from the medina, they offered me to pick me up at the train station which is 10 minutes far from the riad... they wanted me to pay the same price I paid for a ticket to travel from Marrakech to Essaouira ( 2 hours traveling) I found quite a lot and decided to go on my own so they replied my email saying "Good luck" not even explained how to get to the Riad... knowing that the Riad is very difficult to find they should definitely offer a non chargeable pick up service. The breakfast: the orange juice wasn't fresh orange juice, it was pre-packed (all riads where I stayed served a delicious fresh orange juice), the msemmen (moroccan crepe) was cold. The riad was well decorated, but the room it wasnt, actually it's full of unnecessary and massive furniture so you didn't even have space to open your suitcases, no windows-no fresh air make you feel in a cave.
We stayed three nights in Ramadan and all of the staff made our stay as comfortable as possible they provided two complementary meals, one to break our fast in the evening and one in the morning before the fast. They brought everything to our room. Very friendly and helpful.
Couch had some sort of mite that bit my wife on both her legs. Location necessates help locating it.
Very nice stay in this Riad. Beautyfull place, nice staff. Said showed us a good restaurant, very friendly. Breakfast was very good. Thumbs up for the service.
A little hard to find but so is everything else in the Medina.
