The riad is in a excellent position in the city, in the Medina but in a very quiet street. The staff is very competent and friendly. They gave us very good advices for visiting the city and the neighbourhood and found a good guide for us.

the wi-fi in the room sometimes didn't work.

A great place for a romantic week-end in the old Medina in Fès. Very quiet, charming, very comfortable, nice staff, good food ( I do recommand the seafood Pastilla ), oustanding value for money.

The location was good, near taxis, and not too far from sites. The staff did arrange tours for us, with English speaking driver/guides.

Sewer smell in the bathroom. Not sure if it was from outside in the street or if it came from the pipes in the road. The old part of town has some of these issues. The staff was friendly sometimes but aloof most times. It was often hard to find someone who could help us; they often seemed surprised that we wanted breakfast, and had to think about where to seat us. They charged us for water bottles in the room. This seemed rude, given we cannot drink the water there and had to rely on bottled water. Our other riad in Marrakech gave us water everyday.

The common areas were beautiful, with mosaics everywhere and a cute little pool (apparently for looks only).

Our stay here was awful, possibly one of my worst experiences at a hotel/hostel/riad anywhere. The staff, with only one exception, was rude, haughty, unwelcoming, and unhelpful. One of the supposed benefits of staying in a riad is the homey, welcoming feeling. This was the exact reverse. Even before our first complaint, they treated us with disdain. (And we are not country bumpkins; rather, we are young urbanites and seasoned world travelers.) The facilities were dirty. We had enormous cockroaches in our room (including in the BED) on two of the three nights we were there. We complained but the hotel did nothing. They rolled their eyes and blew us off, even after they saw the bugs. They didn't move us to a different room or discount our bill. The employees smoked in the common areas. Since our room bordered a common area, and did not have exterior windows, our room frequently had cigarette smoke in it. Again, after complaining, the hotel did nothing. They claimed that there was no smoking, even though we saw it with our own eyes. Our last night there, the hotel hosted a reception for the German embassy. This meant that we were prohibited from using the common areas, and there was noise and cigarette smoke permeating our room until very late. The hotel did nothing to compensate us for this. In fact, not only did the hotel do nothing about our complaints, but they banged on our door at 11pm the night before we left to present us with an invoice. They did not care whether they woke us up. Apparently, our check-out time of 8am the next morning was too early for them; they claimed that no one would be on duty to check us out. Not only that, but the invoice radically overcharged us. We had had a hamman visit the first night we were there. The woman had already gone home but came back when she heard that we were interested in treatments. She did our treatments in the same room, at the same time, for a total of 30 minutes.

There was one young member of staff who was very helpful, friendly & enthusiastic. He barely spoke English but that didn't stop him making us feel very welcome & at ease.

I could barely access the Wi-Fi from our room & my girlfriend couldn't access it at all. There was no reception desk so finding a member of staff was sometimes difficult. The bathroom sink only had hot water if the shower was on. Worst of all, on our last night, there was a party in the hotel which kept us awake until 1am. We had to get up at 5am. No consideration for guests whatsoever! Far from 4 star standards & a total rip off bearing in mind the relatively high cost of the hotel room.

The staff was cold to the customer and the rooms smell like toilet. The so called free wi-fi never seem to be working in part of the hotel.

The staff was very friendly and fabulous with accommodating our needs and requests. They assisted with arranging transportation for our day adventures and airport transfers. The location was terrific!

The sauna and whirlpool cost extra; it was not included in the hotel room cost.

The people greeted us very professionally and were more than helpful. The mint tea upon arrival was refreshing. The furnishings and decor was also impressive. Location was easy to get too and only a short walk to catch a taxi. The Hamman Spa was such a treat after being on the road. Highly recommend it.

We had a twin room with 3 flights of stairs to access it and more stairs to get to the bathroom, all without hand rails. We should have rented a first floor suite. Breakfast was basic, but traditional with a lot of break. Open layout of the room, made feel like We had to whisper the entire time..

This is a beautiful riad in a great location. I really loved the staff because they were so kind and helpful. I enjoyed our dinners at the Riad. Particularly the pastilla.

Our room was on the ground floor. It was beautiful but smelled like moth balls...even after we opened the windows. The smell was horrible. While the staff is very friendly, the management is not. Very aloof and unfriendly.

Nice location, verily friendly staff and helpful, great food, perfect morocco tea, good spa, and the hotel atmosphere are amazing, you can just stay in the hotel and don't leave.

I didn't like the city of Fes. But I liked the hotel so much.

This place is immaculate, every little piece you look at is a piece of art in itself, all is so beautifully designed and so well maintained! We stayed at Habiba Suite, which was very comfortable. The little plunge pool was refreshing, albeit a bit cold. Location at the edge of the medina was good as we arrived by car and could leave the car not far away.

A few things I didn't like: The room was too bright in the morning, without enough black-out curtains against early morning sunlight. Ask them to keep the roof closed. The Internet signal was way too weak. They promise WiFi at the entire Riad, however, it only really worked in the breakfast room. Finally, dinner seemed a bit of a rip-off. A simple home cooked menu of starters, main and simple desert was charged at 250 dirhams per person - a complete rip off.
