The hotel helps u to have a better and more confortable experience in Fes. The working team (Abdul and others) are really helpful to the guests and make u feel as part of a family. Absolutely recommend it to others!!!!
I owned a room for a family and the staff (Abdou) was so nice to let me check in early on 10 am after my long and tiring night bus. The riad is beautiful and quiet. The wifi is fast. What can I complain?
Very genuine and helpful staff. Good breakfasts and really appreciated the air-conditioning.
Plugged/low pressure shower head.
not able to pay with credit card, 2 days after Ramadan almost all shops closed.
Location in the Medina Breakfast better than the 5* Riad in Marrakech Friendly staff, treated like royalty. Family room beds suitable for 5 Had key for front door so able to return late
Mosquitos due to heat No fridge No AC or fan in communal room High steps to bathroom
A beautiful Riad, the location is great and excellent staff, host Abdou did every thing he could to help us.Overall, great Riad and Great host! I really recommend this Riad!
The riad is beautiful. The staff were great and the location was next to the souq. The roof top has an amazing view.
Location: just at the entrance to the medina near the R'cif square - it is impossible to get lost. Atmosphere: very quiet, if you live in the room at the very top you basically have the entire roof for you where you are served breakfast and can spend time in the evening enjoying the view. The staff is extremely attentive. Abdou literally takes you by hand if you need to get to the taxi which is taking you on a tour or if you want to go to a specific restaurant in the medina.
Nice environment and pleasant staff.
Actually the staff in Riad Al Basha very hospitable and supportive specially Abdo.
Staff member Abdul was incredible. He was very helpful and made our stay much more enjoyable.
The staff at the riad is extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. It is in a great location just inside the medina, so it's not too difficult to find. It is a cheap taxi ride to the new city. It was wonderful enjoying breakfast and relaxing while enjoying the great view from the terrace.
The facilities could definitely use some updating and repair, especially the bathroom. The bed sheets were very rough, and were not real sheets.
Great Riad, placed right in the middle of the old Medina, tons of shops and atractions nearby. Rooms were very big, clean, really nicely decorated and had AC (although the way the house is built makes it rarely needed), TV, WiFi and a roomy bathroom. The room was very quiet, the beds were large and the breakfast was great, comprised of different traditional morrocan pastries and dishes. We were welcomed with a cup of morrocan tea until our rooms were ready and the people were really welcoming and made sure our short stay there was perfect.
If you want to find the place, go to place rcif with bus no. 19, go through the 2 big entraces to the medina, and look up, there will be signs to the riad. The hosts were really nice guys.
The staff member Abdul was very kind:he cane to pick-up us from the taxi stop and when we left he accompanied us to have breakfast early in the morning and waited until we got on a taxi. Moreover he suggested to us a really nice place for having dinner.
The room was very noisy, the re was a birds noodle above the roof of our bedroom,so birds sheet came inside of the room and was very noisy early in the morning. Toilette board was broken and they do not fix it even if they knew that it was broken. We asked for an official tourist guide, one of the staff member called her friend who was a very bad guide as she takes us only for shopping. She couldn't speak Italian even if we asked for an Italian guide, and she wanted to finish the tour earlier than the time we payed for. We couldn't use the credit card and coming back to the riad in the evening we have to wait 20 minutes before somebody came to open the door.
We liked the riadkeepers Hanane and Abdulla, they were friendly, helpfully and nice with kids.
The first night was a bit noisy from the television, our room was next to the livingroom/ reception. Further there was nothing to complain.
Personel Hanana and Abduol were great!
Hotel personel was very lovely.Breakfast was good
its located in old town, so you cant find hotel by yourself, also cleaning wast so good
bathroom(no proper drainage)
The kind and helpfull staff. The location in the medina. Total immersion guaranteed!
The comfort of the bedding.
Staff was excellent - very friendly and helpful.
Everything was fine.. for example the location was in old Medina, so taxi couldn't come close to the hotel.
If you are considering staying in Fez-medina (Old city), this is the ideal place. This hotel is perfectly placed inside the medina. If you are looking for a true Moroccan experience with the amenities you find in the 2-3 star hotels, surely this is the place. The hotel manageress, Hanane, really cares about your happiness and enjoyment. As we could not reply to hotel’s last email in which they requested about pickup arrangements, she even had sent a taxi to Fes airport to pick us up. She was worried as we had two kids aged 5 & 7 with us. She is well supported by Omar, who has a big kind heart. From the minute we arrived in , he made sure we were comfortable. He helped us with our bags every time we were in & out. He even taken care of my kids when required. I must say Hanane & Omar set the tone for a very pleasant stay in Fes. I thank them for their kindness and attention to all details. They are just so nice as the beautiful Fes -Medina.
-Make sure that you have cash on your hand to pay your hotel bill.(Cards are not accepted here) -Be careful with arrangements you make without side parties(even if you request via parties known to the hotel.) It was my mistake that I did not confirm the price with guide for 2 hour medina walk before he arrived to our hotel. Upon return I was asked to pay 400dirams .You can find an official guide for the whole day for 150-200 dirams .
Hospitality from Omar and Hanane is well above what is expected. We were looked after very well and my children absolutely adore both of them. Location is also excellent being right inside the medina with many food stalls literally on the door step. Surprisingly the wi-fi is better than mine at home- and I live in a big city in the UK!
Bathroom is a bit small. I noticed though that some of the other rooms do have bigger bathrooms. The place is clean but I have put it as fair as it would have been better if someone had done a quick hoovering and cleaning the bathroom on a daily basis rather than us having to do it ourselves. I do feel that they would have done it if requested though. This is a minor issue and certainly does not make our experience less than fantastic.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful (both Hanane and Omar) and helped us organized excursions to cities nearby and visiting Fes' main attractions. Breakfast was excellent. Location is also good (inside the medina).
We liked the hospitality of Abdou, the geusthouse owner, he did every thing for us and made sure we had a great trip. The Riad is (if you walked it once) not difficult to find from the place rcif. We also liked the terras and his view, and even had our breakfast there when the weather was good. Furthermore, we liked the way the Riad looked; with mosaique and a lot of colors. Definitly a good place to stay in Fes
Although we liked Abdou, his hospitality was at the beginning a little bit to much for us, but after a day we get used to it and appreciate it! Another minus was the fact that our room had no windows, so make sure you book a room with windows. And is you want to be near the Bab Baljoud this is not the place for you (20min walk, but a nice walk)
