This Riad is situated in the ancient quarter of Bab Doukkala, 15 minutes away from the famous Jamàa El Fnaa square, away from the hustle of the heart of Marrakesh.
Score from 122 reviews Very good
This riad features Arab-Andalusian architecture and a rooftop sun terrace with a Berber tent. It proposes a pool, hammam and air-conditioned rooms that are located a 5-minute walk from Bahia Palace.
Score from 30 reviews Good
This Riad is inside the Medina of Marrakech, a 10 minute walk from Jamaâ El Fna Square. It has a terrace with views of the Atlas Mountains and Koutoubia Mosque.
Score from 489 reviews Wonderful
Jamaâ El Fna Square is a 5-minute walk from this traditional riad, which features a terrace with sun beds and a patio with a plunge pool. A city map and a welcome tea are offered upon arrival.
Score from 106 reviews Wonderful
Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious and comfortable room. The space inside the Riad is great, cozy, clean comfortable. Exactly like the pictures.
Hard to find and I didn't really enjoy to stay in the Medina because its quite hectic there. The room was very cold and there was no heater. Although there was a bathtub, it could not be used because there wasn't enough hot water.
- Authentic Arabic style of hotel - Staff willing to help
- Wifi only on ground floor of main building - If accommodated on second building, you'd have to walk to main one for wifi/terrace/anything else - Mandatory to leave room keys in main building - that gets tedious in a while - Staff does not speak English, except the manager - Limited choice of breakfast meals; meals were served late when we were in a rush - Uneven shower floor - water builds up near wc door so you inevitably step into it at night - We were given only 1 small bar of soap for 4 days (for 2 people)! - Location (north Medina) is terrible, people are harassing tourists, dirt, donkeys and motor-scooters everywhere.
Staff is hit and miss
Beautiful building Great atmosphere
The staff were excellent, very helpful, polite and kind. The room was beautiful but a little bit dark at times. The courtyard space was also very comfortable and attractive. The breakfast included was very good and generous too.
The location was an eye opener and was difficult to find even for locals and the taxis wouldn't take us all the way there due to the narrowness of the streets and alleyways. It is some way from the Jemaa el Fna place but if you don't mind getting lost on the way it's fine.
Beautiful room Good breakfast Frequent cleaning Nice view from the roof
Riad is located in bad area, even local taxists couldn't find it. Though we are quiete expirienced in exploring new cities and had no problems with sightseeing in Essaouira, we finally refused any attempts to get out of the area. As a result, we had to spend lots of money on taxi. We are totally sure, that we would have liked Marrakech much better, if we decided to settle in some better region.
Beautiful hidden gem, behind a big black door. Rooftop terrace was lovely and the courtyard setting for breakfast was perfect. Rooms were great, loved the moroccon style. Hassan was very helpful and friendly!
The Riad was very nice and clean. It was tranquil and very relaxing. We really enjoyed the traditional experience. Staff and owner was very friendly and couldn't do enough.
Location was a tiny bit far out.
Location. maybe a bit far from main square but I preferred it that way. exceptionally helpful/friendly staff particularly Hassan Very clean and pretty.
Somewhat steep charge for tea/coffee.Had to insist on a key for our room and then made to feel bad for asking!
It's a beautiful, authentic location, just like the pictures promised. The staff was polite and the trips were well arranged. Dinner was tasteful.
Drinks were really expensive in comparison to local prices. The bed was extremely hard and the room was not cleaned very well (which we also witnessed when our room was made ready for the next guest). The breakfast is always the same (2 pancakes/person and 4 pieces of bread/person with a little bit of jam); which is a real bummer if you stay 6 nights, like we did. In general, we felt like all expenses were - without any shame or decensy - limited to an extreme minimum, just to maximize profit. Two examples: when the final bill came - after spending six nights, done three trips orginized by the riad, had three times dinner and wine at the riad - the manager made an issue about one euro which we had to pay extra, because her collegue forgot to charge somethings - although we never discussed the exchange rate. Plus: when we took the taxi to the airport - for which we pay 15 euro to the riad - the manager went with us, let the driver make a large detour in the center for her, before taking the main road which lead to the airport.
Beautiful Riad in the old Medina of Marrakesh. It was as if we had entered a scene in a fairytale, simply beautiful. The Riad was very clean, the rooms spacious and the staff very friendly and helpful. We arrived very late at the Riad, due to our flight plan, we were very glad that we had asked the Riad to arrange a door to door taxi. It was expensive (in retrospect we should have negotiated by email), but it relieved us from stress during a late arrival with three little kids. We would recommend this beautiful Riad to anybody, we did however book a 'booking.com' smart deal at this Riad, otherwise this Riad wouldn't have fit our budget.
Amazingly organized and furnished beautifully to the tiniest detail hotel! Staff was friendly and Hassan was great, his English was on top level and the whole hospitality attitude! As a whole, i would highly recommend visiting the riad! It is increadibly beautiful and peaceful/despite the outside madness :) /
The location is not the best, breakfast was tasty but not great in regards to its variety! We were transferredto stay in another/ really nice riad/ for the first 2 days of our trip / without been given notice in advance/ . Taxi fares arranged to and from aiport were slightly dearer than normal
Good value for your money. Very friendly staff. Beautiful view and terrace. Breakfast was fair. But the riad itself is very beautiful, clean, and well done.
A bit difficult to find.
The staff called Hassan can speak very good English, which is an advantage to non-French traveler. Taxi service is available in the hostel and the design of the hostel is amazing! Breakfast is of good quality and the street outside the hostel is quite.
The only picky thing I would like to say is that the hostel is within distances from the main square, which means you need to take a taxi costing 3 euros whenever you wanna go around.
The Riad, was lovely and clean. The lady (Samaria) was very helpful.
We were locked out of the riad on the first night which was very scary. Eventually got let in by a guest. Breakfast was very poor, fresh fruit would have been good.
Everything was OK.
Nice location, friendly staff
