    Chic decor and location

We didn't dine at restaurant or have any extras as they were very over priced which was a shame as the setting was so lovely

El Fenn is effortlessly cool and stylish. Original art to be found around each corner. Sunken pools to wash away the heat of the souks. Exceptional food to be had on the rooftop under the stars… the granola at breakfast is the most delicious we've ever had. Hidden areas to curl up in and read a book if you're done with the bustle of the city. Genuinely charming, mellow and helpful staff. Location is perfect… you can walk to the main square or the souks within a ten minute walk. If you want the mix of relaxation and culture, then this is the place to be. Dreamy!

Rooms are comfortable and have good air conditioning.

Housekeeper made a lot of noise in the morning, and slammed a tray outside the door, waking us up early. When on vacation, some people want to sleep in.

The building is absolutely stunning, really truly beautiful. I have been lucky enough to stay in many beautiful hotels but this is one of the best. We were in room 12 which had a beautiful private terrace which we really enjoyed. The breakfast and lunch were fantastic although dinner was not quite to the same standard. The pools were chilly but lovely once you've taken the plunge! The riad provided a very good list of things to do, bars, restaurants etc so we had plenty to do.

    Nothing!!

An amazing riad with much attention to detail. Pricey but worth it and with excellent customer services that are truly happy to help.

Food offer especially lunch could be bettered as not much variety and pricey for lunch.

The El Fenn is a gem. It is very nice decorated with much love to details. It offers many niches to spend some time. It is a romantic place to be. There are some pools available, but when I'm correct not heated, the one on the top floor is as deep as to the knees for an adult. - That is great for children. - The pool is quite warm by noon due to the sun. Breakfast was fine; Lunch every day different local menus. Dinner was a la carte. - We never ordered at other times. For the children we could also have special orders like pasta, French fries. With kids it is really a great place to be (4 and 1 year) old. The staff was very friendly and was very sweet with the children. As mentioned the low-water pool is just perfect for them. Also the hotel-own-pets were the attraction for the 4 year old. The entrance of the Riad was continuously watched. This gave our son (4) the possibility to go beforehand to the patio without us worrying that he might get lost. The doors to the rooms are not locked. To store the valuables there is a safe in the room. Also having left the Ipod at the dinner area, we could re-collect it in the morning at the reception desk. Help was provided very quickly when needed. If we go to Marrakech again, we definitely will go into this Riad again.

Maybe our fault, we did not ask, if a baby chair was available. Therefore we let the 1 year old in times of discontent walk around during eating times. The staff was exceptionally nice about it. She most certainly blocked the way or kept them from working at some times.

We loved El Fenn and wanted to stay longer it was just perfect. The staff couldn't have done more for us . Worth spending extra and staying in a colonnade room if you can . Food was great

Nothing other than maybe more more options on evening meal menu ...?

effortlessly cool, undertstated elegance - relaxed atmosphere with the best view from the extensive roof terrace of the Atlas Mountains. So convenient and close to the main square and all the action - wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

The El Fenn is a beautiful tranquil haven in a fun, exciting, bustling city. The rooms are stunning as is all the nooks and crannies that you stumble across, the staff helpful, charming and welcoming. It was cold and raining the first two days of our trip which would have been awful if not for the roaring log fires, huge day beds, plenty of books to read and the chill out music to listen to at the El Fenn. It almost makes you feel like you have lived there forever rather than being a guest for a few days, it's sheer bliss. The Hamman treatment is a must, as is trying the egg tagine for breakfast. But what I liked the most was the family of tortoises with their own house in the Courtyard. Really pleased with myself for finding the El Fenn and even more pleased for booking it.

Location is fine if you want to be in the heart of the bustling medina. Lots of car and bike fumes as soon as you go outside. Did not think breakfast was value for money at what they charged.

Amazing facility, very chic and hip. Great location near Jema El Fna and the old medina. Great restaurant.

Hotel has small gift shop that is nice but did not carry what I was looking for. Wanted to purchase some of beautiful bowls and glasses used at hotel. Staff would never tell me where to purchase anything. Repeated questions and inquiries were met by "I'll have to check with the manager". Don't understand why they made such a secret about where to buy things they did not sell themselves.

The riad was unbelievably luxurious and comfortable. The gourmet meals were out of this world, very creatively prepared. New Year's Eve was memorable, with a multi-course meal, live jazz music, champagne, and wonderful appertizers. The hammam was a welcomed experience after a multi-city tour.

There was nothing that I didn't love about El Fenn!

High class interior design and refined elegance prevailed throughout the establishment. Gracious service from friendly staff who are also up to date with Marrakech- I was addressed by my name. I loved the bed and the quality of the bed linen. The handmade lemon blossom soaps, the fragrant roses on my table, the tray of pre-breakfast offerings including tea and coffee outside my door at 7:30am. The food was exquisite, veritable moroccan banquets where flavour and presentation were a fine art. And Art abounds in this establishment: fascinating contemporary moroccan artworks married to traditional textiles and craft in a harmonious and heart-warming exaltation of the spirit of this blessed country and its people . Praise goes to the (curator) artists and craftspeople of this collection. Overall, El Fenn uplifted my spirit , touched my heart and inspired my imagination. It was all about the Art of Living- a soulful experience.

The fact that El Fenn is two flights and two taxi-rides away from where I live.

Wonderful welcoming staff, a quiet place to stay right in the middle of the medina. Beautiful rooms and bath.

Not an overly modern hotel- no 24room service etc, however suits the old world charm of the medina.
