Really loud at night till 4am!
The room was clean and comfortable. At first we were conceded because there is no a/c, but the weather in Essaouira is very cool and we were even chilly at night, so no a/c was needed. The staff here is wonderful and we were really happy with our interactions with them. They gave good advice and were always smiling. Breakfast was simple, but enough for us. Beautiful city and this Riad is in the walled area, close to shops and restaurants.
friendly and helpful welcome
- Bathroom dirty and not very functional - dirty sheets - credit cards not accepted
Just outside of Riad was a shop with very friendly owner.
The room was not ready. Slow internet with weak WiFi. Not enough towels. Only one man was speaking English. Poor breakfast.
The guy at the reception.
Lovely building, nice staff, nice simple breakfast.
WiFi only works close to reception
The location is perfect , in the heart of the Media, 10 minutes from the beach. The staff is friendly and helpfull. Them rooms are basic, but clean and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast is basic (fresh bread, jam, honey, tea or coffee, fresh orange juice) but abundant.
Friendly staff, great location, beautiful building and very good value. We really loved staying at El Mess - it was the nicest place we stayed in Morrocco. Really quiet after the hustle of Marrakech- a beautiful roof terrace, lovely room (a slight whiff of damp but nothing nasty) and the staff were kind and friendly.
Great value for money :)
wi fi just near reception, room was not prepaire, evem we came very late
The staff was nice enough. Close to shops, restaurants and other facilities. Very silent nighttime
Lack of lights in stairs and the room. Very bad shower, no hot water the last morning. The breakfast was very ordinary - with lukewarm english tea.
I like it was a fun place and good staff
Staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, the location was great, and morning breakfast was perfect.
I cannot say anything about this Riad because as soon as we arrived, the concierge said that there was only one room left (despite the website said there were still 5) and since they did not receive any e-mail of notification from booking.com that room was even not prepared. Then we have been accompanied to another Riad belonging to the same owner.
Nice basic riad we didn't want much more, well located and friendly staff
Our room was not serviced during our stay we had to ask for toilet paper
Very helpful owner who speaks good English and the quiet location is ideal, just a couple of minutes walk from the main square and the shops making it an ideal base for those who like that kind of thing.
Nothing negative about the place we stayed but Marrakech for us was too much of a tourist trap with hawkers peddling over priced goods & services including the food in the square. Afer a couple of days we hired a car and took off to see a much more natural side of Morocco, which made up for the disappointment of Marrakech. Our favourite places where around Imlil and Essaouira.
Very nice and friendly hosts. Location is very good. Beautiful and authentic Riad and good breakfast.
The showers was sometimes warm and sometimes cold
Good location, and very friendly staff.basic breakfast
The rooms are very dirty and there was a very bad smell inside, like mildew. We couldn't sleep all night long for this reason.
Very disappointed with the hotel have to moved out before the date as we experienced bad service from the start .. Bed was uncomfortable , poor lighting in the bathroom and bedroom .. No water and everything went wrong .. No recommendation !!
I stayed at this riad for 2 days. It is a beautiful riad with nice spacious rooms with good ventilation. On the inside the rooms give you a proper Moroccan Riad experience. Had two windows in my room which lit it up nicely and left no need for an Air Conditioner. It had no TV and getting wifi only in the lobby. It is a budget accommodation and it serves the purpose of giving you a nice relaxed stay for the price you pay. The location is ideal right in the Medina and you are hardly 10 mins walk away from the Port and the beach. Located very close to the main street so you are right in the middle of the action all the time. My room was facing towards the street outside on which this hotel is located so had some noises at night and early morning but didn't bother much. Staff are very helpful and courteous. Make you feel at home and very polite. The breakfast is typically bread, coffee and fresh juice. Really enjoyed my stay at this place and would love to stay here again.
Hot water was the only Issue I had on one of the days only.
friendly staff, high standard of the room. Big and clean room with very comfortable bed, Wifi working well. Rich breakfast included Good location
Friendly staff, good location and decent sized rooms.
Most of the rooms have a problem with mould. Wifi only around reception desk.
Terribly wet room (all the city was quite wet) with quite high roof, really simple breakfast, 4% fee for credit card payment (the machine was broken, so we went to pay to other place). Public parking in the port is slightly more expensive than in other places visited in Morocco
Very quiet and relaxing place, had a very peaceful sleep in the room on the terrase where I could hear the sound of the ocean. Amazing view from the terrase! Friendly staff
Rooms are in terrible condition (especially the one on the terrase) because of humidity and need renovation badly. No hot water in the room on the terrase. Poor breakfast. Overpriced. Could be an amazing place if was taken care of!
