Warm and personal reception; whereas staff go out of their way to accommodate guests. Beautifully appointed rooms and a deluxe breakfast make for a "must come back" stay.
Located in the heart of the medina , close proximity to the souks, museums and Jamaa El Fena. Too notch service, very friendly and extremely helpful manager (Mariam). Mariam was very helpful, she helped me to book other reservations. The interior decoration is amazing living art working, traditional Moroccan decoration, the fine details were handcrafted. Very Clean place. After the hustle and bustle in the medina and souks which can be exciting at first, which can become tiring on the third day, you come back to the raid and you regain back your tranquility and peacefulness.
Nothing I can think about.
Very helpful and friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble
Breakfast on the terrace Spacious rooms Warm welcome Secure Local advice
Manager Mariam and her team, evening meals especially the cooking course, attention to detail in the house and room.
Nothing to say on this.
Loved the interiors, every detail was handcrafted, superb traditional bathroom with a giant tub, but modern shower attachment with plenty of hot water to run the bath. Also the bed was massive and very comfy. I felt very comfortable and peaceful, lovely scents running through, just a pleasure for all senses. We also had the hammam in riad which was very different but enjoyable experience. Staff were also excellent and very helpful and friendly. Totally recommend - best riad out of 4 we stayed on our tour of morroco. You will need help to find it first time but I think that will be a common problem in the medina if it's your first time. I was a bit nervous to walk around at first but you get used to it and find that morrocan people are very nice.
Excellent staff looked after all our needs. Beautifully decorated room and common areas.
Cold showers Rooftop area was poor, was not suitable to relax in and was surrounded by washing. The walk to the square was very crowded.
The staff were really friendly, and even gave us an upgrade to the biggest room for free! The breakfast was excellent, a great way to start the day
this was my first time in morroco and on the strength of my stay, I will be going back. the host and staff were all amazing. helpful, polite, welcoming and the room was great. they also helped find out my return flight details. life savers
it took a little while for the water to warm up for the shower, but that was my only tiny gripe. everything was excellent.
Beautiful riad. Huge bed, food very nice and staff attentive, and very helpful. Good location for Jemaa el Fnaa, and the souks, markets and buses. You need to book a taxi to take you the first night because you will never find it!!!
Having to knock on the door each time we came back, and waiting to be let in.
The taxi dropped us at the end of an alley way and the driver took our bags and accompanied us to an impressive wooden door. As we stepped inside the riad we entered a completely different world. I loved the decor of the riad and the warm welcome my husband and I received. We were offered mint tea and sweet nibbles. The staff was very helpful and we felt straight at home. Mariam who manages the riad is a real gem.We chose the Bahia room which was lovely in hues of green and a lovely bathroom to match. The detail of the ceiling was quite exquisite. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning a welcome friend. Breakfast is served on the roof and every day we had something new for the palate whether it was an omelet or some Moroccan bread there was always something to discover. You could also choose to have dinner at the riad and decide with Mariam what to eat. Wonderful. We also asked for advice for a day trip excursion. Everything was arranged for us. We felt very secured and well looked after. The riad is at the heart of the medina close to everything, a 10 minute walk from the main square, Jemaa El Fna. It is easy to find. All in all we were delighted with our stay and strongly recommend this riad. A real jewel in the heart of Marrakesh.
We did not realize straight away that we had to leave the water running a while in the shower before it got hot. Also as a tea drinker I missed having a nice cup of tea in the morning. Apart from that it was pretty perfect and I would strongly recommend the riad to my friends.
Very good service, very good information. Just amazing!
Very nice property, authentic to the photos. Very clean and well kept. Very good breakfast, changing from day to day, in the terrasse. Amazing service: kind, competent and always available, generally good tips and recommendations (partners such as tour operstors,taxi...). We booked Ham'mam and massage treatment at an extra cost, with excellent value for money. So not a low cost all inclu but a personal and welcoming service. Great start for Morocco greenhorns.
Nothing, all was great
If you go to Morocco, I would recommend you to stay in a Riad instead of a hotel. You can stay in a hotel anywhere else in the world but a Riad has it's own magic. There are only 5 rooms in this Riad so the service is very personal and you do not feel like you just an other number in the crowd. We stayed for 5 nights at the Riad el Wiam and we had a great time. Everything is hand made and beautifully decorated and by staying here you can really get a glance at the Morroccan culture. It's 10 minutes walk from the main square in the Medina yet it is so quiet and cool. It was always a pleasure to return after a hot day. The service was great, the manager Mariam was always there to answer our questions. We also met the owner who was extremely helpful and accommodating. We received delicious cups of Moroccan mint tea and moroccan sweets on many occasion. Breakfast is served at the roof terrace in traditional Moroccan dining ware : fresh juice, fruit, yogurt, pastry and Moroccan pancakes (Yummy)! Our room was very clean and organised and the air conditioner worked perfectly. The room was also very quiet (no noise from outside), very spacious and the WIFI worked everywhere. I would recommend to book a transfer through the Riad as it makes things so much easier and smoother on arrival. Overall we had a great experience and I would highly recommend this Riad.
The breakfast is a bit too sweet for my taste.
Style and decor, lovely location for breakfast on the terrace and the breakfasts themselves. The staff, who could not have been more helpful, but were never intrusive. So glad we came here rather than to an hotel in the modern part of the city. That might have been more relaxed outside but we would have missed so much.
Very little to dislike. The immediate location is pretty hectic but peace starts as soon as you re-enter the Riad
From the moment we entered this oasis in the midst of Marrakesh madness, we where treated like royalty. Being a traveler of many years (45) I would rate this riad & staff, especially Miriam with the best, if not #1. Inchallah we can return one day. The attention to detail, ambiance & as hosts was exceptional. From helping us with tickets, sipping te and chatting the the manager Miriam was always made time for us. I could go on but really check this place out for yourself, you will not forget it.
The truth is there was nothing to dislike!
the Manager Mariana she was very helpfull with everything nothing to much lovely place to stay..........
Felt like a king in a exquisite palace. Attention to details on all levels; friendly staff, beautiful decor, an oasis in middle of one crazy city.
The best thing about this riad was the staff, especially the manager, who was especially helpful. The riad itself is very attractive and the breakfast is very good. Next time we will try out the hammam!
Wifi was weak.
Friendly, helpful staff. Good location within walking distance of main square. Recommended.
Breakfast was fabulous.
Wifi was tempremental
Not much at all!!!!
The room assigned to us was on the first floor. It was dark and uncomfortable as there was not place to put the suitcases but the on the floor. The bed was so big it took the whole space in the room leaving very little space to walk around. The legs of the wooden foot board stock out causing us to trip all the time. There is a huge flat tv hanging from the wall and attached what it looked like a cable box. This box irradiates a purple light on to the room that when lights were off it hit our faces, like having a laser beam in your face all night long while sleeping. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting, so small and dark even with the small lights on. No counter around the sink where to place the toiletries, sink was loose, and the shower drainage did not work. We had to wait until the water will drain out slowly before the other person could take a shower. Our feet were in about a foot of dirty water while we shower. Little flies in the bathroom walls. They were pointed out to the manager but she did not do anything to eliminate them. Very Nasty!!! Being that the room was on the first floor the noise level becomes too much with what goes on in the courtyard and at the manager's desk. The use of the WIFI is limited as the manager turns it off when she is not in the courtyard area and one is left with no connection. We have to asked her what was the problem even though she insisted that there was not problem she then re-started that session and we were able to connect. Then at midnight it will be turned off until the time she will return to the desk. This made quite inconvenient because of the time different if we wanted to send messages to our relatives back in the States. I would not recommend this riad to Anyone. We did not see the rooms upstairs but the one on the first floor was just a pig pen. We asked the manager to change rooms for one upstairs but she was not accommodating.
Staff were excellent
This is a lovely Riad to stay in. The manager was really helpful with recommendations for trips and restaurants. Some of our trips had an early start so we requested an early breakfast which was no trouble at all. Breakfast was different every morning with a choice of croissants, pain au chocolate and pancakes. The rooms are beautiful and the beds are really comfortable. The riad is a 5 minute walk to the main square but as it is tucked down a lane you don't get any of the noise from the main tourist areas. I'd recommend you book a transfer from the airport with the hotel as it would be very difficult to find on your own. I'd highly recommend this place for your holiday.
The wifi was a bit hit and miss in our room and didn't work in our friends room but the signal was better in reception.
Excellent location, within 5 minutes walk to main square via an easy direct route. Staff couldn't do enough, even gave us breakfast at 6.30 when we were leaving early for a day trip. Couldn't recommend this Riad highly enough.
Wifi was abit hit and miss, seemed to be ok in the main lobby but less reliable in the bedrooms.
