The Riad El Wiam provides its guests with the most amazing experience. It is a haven of peace and serenity after the noise and bustle of the Medina. It is a truly beautiful place, restored with elegance, and is full of lovely people who cannot do enough to make your stay there really special. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and hope to return again in the not-too-distant future. It would not be easy to find the Riad on arrival in Marrakech so I would recommend taking advantage of the offer of an airport transfer. |

It is just perfect! The most beautiful hotel in Morocco I have ever been. The owner of the hotel has a wonderful taste of everything, including know-how to decorate their hotel, know-who to go for shopping, and know-when to provide their suggestions. Also the owner does so great cookies that as far as I remember the same great cookies I eve tried are in Italy and France. I love everything from Riad EI Wiam! Also thank you very much for all your help during our stay! |

The location of this Riad is great, very close to all attractions but down a quiet street. The owners are very hospitable and helpful. Every morning the breakfast varied slightly so we could sample different Moroccan dishes. My husband and I had a really great trip. |

An easy oasis from the city and in easy reach of all the main attractions of the city. I would advise a Taxi to the hotel (as arranged by them @ 15 Euro - Feb 2010) Lucky dip on rooms - Ask for the one with the bath - even if it is more expensive. |

Our trip to Marrakech was enhanced by our choice of the Riad El Wiam. The owner William, his beautiful wife and their staff were the perfect hosts. They could not do enough for us to make our stay interesting and enjoyable. Within the heart of the medieval Medina, the Riad El Wiam was an oasis of tranquillity and beauty. The Riad is tucked away within the Medina and you are well advised to allow the owners to arrange your transfer to and from the airport. We also allowed William to arrange our trip to the Atlas Mountains and suggest a local restaurant – which were both fantastic. We also had an evening meal of traditional Moroccan food at El Wiam Riad which was beautiful and excellent value for money. |

William & Kansar run a first class establishment and we had a wonderful few days at their superb RIAD.Surely there cannot be a better one in the whole city ?!! Nothing is too much trouble ,they arranged everything from taxis,Atlas mountains trip & finally Le Fondouk Restaurant which was a gem of a suggestion & we had a wonderful evening & meal..We were very sad to leave but know full well we will return & we hope they will come and stay at High Beeches our B & B in Bath ,UK may be one day with Unis ! Many thanks again for arranging our every need Best Wishes.Ian & Alison |

Absolutely amazing hotel, the staff couldn't do enough to make your stay memorable and the location is brilliant. Make sure you take up the offer of transfers to and from the hotel, finding the place without help would not be easy. |

An amazing riad in the heart of the medina. The service and attention to detail was second to none. The owners of riad were extremely friendly and accommodating and made our stay very pleasant. The city can sometimes feel chaotic so it was nice to have a peaceful & relaxing place to rest at the end of the day. The main reason we actually booked this room is because of the positive reviews we can see why. The only thing is that a few people mentioned the dark alley to get to the riad - this isn't actually as bad as it sounds. The nature of the old town is that it is full of twists and turns and small and dark roads but this "dark alley" is just a 2 metre covered walkway which leads to a well lit area to the entrance of the riad. |

The ambiance of the Riad, the location, the silence at night and the friendly staff all were exellent. We did have a wonderfull stay but we did miss a boiled egg in the morning. We were recommended to eat in Restaurant Berber near the hotel, but we liked the night-market on the El Fna square much more; the food was much cheaper and better then in that restaurant. Do not be afraid to go for dinner there (stand 15!!!) and enjoy the real Marrakech atmosphere! |

Good points - a very nice Riad, well restored and very helpful staff. Our room had a large king size bed, massive bath & pretty good air-con (heater). Cakes & mint tea on arrival plus directions marked out on a map were nice touches as was a jacuzzi (we thought) & the arranged hammam on site (for a reasonable €25 incl. Massage). But sorry despite all this I cannot give a score other than poor for service & value because of a couple of really big & unacceptable problems that need sorting out urgently. So note my recommendation presumes you (& they) have read the bad points below & hence they are unable to continue. I hope that happens because I would honestly like to go back to what could be a great Riad once these problems are sorted. Poor value for adding 20% to the total bill for using the jacuzzi (trying on a €14 per day charge for 30 minutes jacuzzi not mentioned until checkout is outrageous - & it wasn't just to us that got caught) and also for charging €40 euros for a taxi from the airport that we discover only costs €8 when you call it yourself. Poor service for the meagre cold breakfast & cold coffee 2 out of 3 mornings (despite going down at the time arranged the night before). Plus invest in some towels - we should`t go without towels whenever they are washed - you need more than one set per room! Sorry but these are basics that need to sorted out as they take the shine off the otherwise great service you offer. |

It was a traditional Moroccan experience, riad was beautifully restored and very helpful staff and management Location was down a very dark alleyway (which is typical of Marrakech Medina), very poluted area and not a particularly nice place to walk during the evening) |

The service, location and style were excellent. The proprietors speak mainly French and made every effort to accommodate us and resolve our problems. This provides an ideal, affordable taste of the locality and is recommended The Riad style does not allow for noise, so avoid if this is a concern |

The owner was great and very accomodating, riad was very luxurious and shower was fantastic! Location wasnt the greatest, close to the square but relitavely difficult to get to and down a quiet dark street which was quite frightening at night. |

The personal assistance of the hotelier made us feel welcome and at home from the onset. Top class service! Perhaps nice to have a tv. Also a kettle with teas and milk. I've never visited a hotel without these as standard so I guess we missed them. |

The hotel was a lovely, calm and comfortable retreat from the noisy hustle and bustle of the Medina. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and the food was fantastic. We would definately go back again. |

The Riad El Wiam is a very friendly place to stay with excellent staff. It is located just a short walk, (10 minutes), from the Medina for shopping. I will have no hesitation in recommending the Riad to both family and friends. Make sure to use the roof terrace. |

The room had a decent size and was nice and clean. Very good location (10' walking from el fna square). Charming atmosphere and fine decoration. Breakfast is served in a nice terrase. The owner showed us the riad when we arrived, provided us a map with some indications, and offered us mint tea as a welcome (Very detail-oriented). Personnel respectful and always up to help. Great mint tea (for free) in the afternoon. They make you feel at home. |
