Riad El Wiam  

The building is nicely redone and very clean. The rooms are comfortable albeit lacking in natural light and dimly lit. The bathroom was large and the plumbing works well. Air conditioning also works well. Staff is very nice and attentive. Transportation to/from airport/train station was good and reliable (at extra cost).

The decor is not tasteful, the Riad lacks a swimming pool and a spa. The breakfast is poor: no yogurt, no cereal, stale toasted bread, little fruit, no choices. But my really negative point is the location: the Riad is located on the East side of Marrakech, in a very shabby, dirty, unsafe neighborhood. In order to reach this Riad, one has to walk on the Dabachi St, where we witnessed 2 muggings and the start of a riot (in 3 days). We enquired, there is no alternative (better) route. We are seasoned travelers and yet we felt unsafe and uneasy. For this unsurmountable reason I would not return to or recommend this Riad.

Very quiet - an oasis of comfort and calm in the hurly burly of Marrakech. the facility is beautiful and tastefully decorated. The staff are polite and great to work with. the food is very good and the mint tea is the best in Morocco.

A wonderful riad in Marrakech, with a great location in a tucked away corner of the medina. A welcoming staff (Neama and William) really made one feel at home. They took care of all our needs!

We enjoyed the stay in this luxury riad right in the middle of the old Medina, close to the central square of Marrakech. It is an island of tranquility in hectic Marrakech, with very nice interior and a sun terrace on top of the roof to have a drink or rest in the sun. The personnel is very friendly and helpful.

Everything was good. The room, the location, breakfast and most importantly the kindness & welcome from the staff.

Riad El Wiam is a very nice small place to stay. The hotel and rooms have a wonderful 1001 nights atmosphere. The place for breakfast (on the roof) is very, very nice and the Hammam excellent. It is near the central plaza in the old medina.

It was spotless, could not find fault with the Riad, only the position it is in. It is down an alley way that is very dark n scary at nite. Although the owners have employed a night watchman. I am sure nothing would happen as a very safe place to wander around in. Just as a westerner our imagination runs wild. A pleasure to have gone there.

Riad el Wiam was a fantastic experience, we will definitely come back again. William and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay extremely pleasant and relaxing. The riad's design is unique and beautiful. We ejoyed the wonderful breakfasts on the patio and quiet atmosphere.

Received a very warm welcome. Beautiful Riad with Patio and fountain with roses. Generous breakfast. Good located for visits within the Medina.

gorgeous Riad absolutely clean and perfectly maintained. Nice staff and superbe location near the souks (and it's still quiet). Hammam and "gommage"/massage possible in the Riad (special room on the terrasse). Would book it again....

nothing!!! Hard to find (like most Riads in Marrakech ;-) Ask to get the taxi from the Riad to be sure to find quick.

This is a beautiful, peaceful riad within a few minutes walk of the main square and an ideal retreat after the intensity of the medina. The rooms are beautiful and very generous in size, the food is traditional and prepared and served to a very high standard and whilst we were there the weather was such that it was served on the roof terrace. We also enjoyed two amazing evening meals in the riad, beautifully cooked and truly memorable. The staff were always on hand if we needed anything and were extremely helpful and welcoming and we took advantage of the riad's taxi service to and from the airport as it was by far the easiest and very well organised. We have no complaints at all and if we were to return to Marrakech we would not hesitate to stay here again and would happily recommend it.
