Hospitality of our hosts at the Riad was fantastic. Communication between John and Elizabeth (owners) of the Riad was first class and we were told that Samira (manager) would look after every need when we were in Marrakech. She was truly exceptional and looked after all our needs from booking taxis to advising where to visit. The other staff were very welcoming and the terrace was a wonderful place to relax in the sun and in December! Our bedroom was lovely and the decor in the Riad exquisite. The closeness to the Souks is an advantage if you were willing to walk and only 5 minutes away. I would certainly recommend this Riad and well done to John and Elizabeth! Massive thank you to Samira xxx
Unfortunately there was no hot water but we should have mentioned this to Samira. The wifi was very intermittent. Be careful when approached by locals who will walk you back to the Riad as it is easy to get lost in the Souks. They demand money when you have been returned to the Riad. This happened to us twice, not a very pleasant experience. Very difficult to purchase alcohol but managed to find a Carrfour in the new city.
The staff were so welcoming and nothing too much trouble at all. Concerns raised with the owner who acknowledged the issues and very apologetic. Offered discount and a complimentary dinner if we ever made a return visit which was very kind.
The Riad was very chilly on arrival - the person who greeted us was wearing a coat indoors. The air conditioning units in the bedrooms weren't that efficient so the rooms remained chilly. Bathrooms were a bit tired and need some attention. Water pressure poor and not enough hot water to have our showers. Towels looked very worn and grey.
The wonderful breakfasts and the evening meal. Very friendly staff. Spacious, comfortable room.
Nothing - everything was good!
The owner and staff was amazing and made our holiday. Whilst giving us the flexibility of doing our own thing or if we needed help organising a trip, restaurant reservation they was always at hand or a phone call away. It was more like stay with an old friend than a hotel which gave this hotel a great atmosphere and oasis within the madness of the medina. Thank you john and all the staff at the riad elizabeth
My dietary needs were important and were followed by the cooking staff each time. Samira was very professional and helpful with tours. She made our stay very comfortable and relaxing.
Our bedroom was on the street and it was extremely loud each night. Housekeeping came into our rooms everyday even if service wasn't needed or requested. The pool is in awkward place.
Samira, the GM was great. She was bubbly, excited, informed. enthusiastic, knowledgeable, generous. She connected us with the right people and made us feel at home. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The room was ample, so was the bathroom. The terrace, boring, particularly at night with harsh lights in your eyes
The interior design was awful, for Marrakesh. All black and white. And the white did not look white but grey. The contemporary art was appalling. The dinner was dismally poor and at twice the cost of any other place. We had the feeling we were getting gouged for everything, including taxis, transportation, guides, food. They added 5% on the credit card charges (against credit card policies!) The room had a minuscule view of a very noisy alley.
The decor was lovely, the staff were very friendly, location was good, breakfast was delicious, roof terrace very comfortable, dinner was tasty. Very calm.
Thought it was expensive in comparison to the other places we stayed, and maybe not worth that extra expense. Our room faced the street and was very noisy till late.
The riad was lovely and the manager (Samira) in particular was incredibly helpful and informative. Can't recommend highly enough.
The exceptional customer service, the staff will go to lengths to make your stay memorable. The feeling of being part of a bigger guest family.
Service was perfect 24/7, John was the best host that you can wish for and can tell you everything about Marrakech. Chill out on the roof or take a 5 min walk to tho souks. If you really want to experience Marrakech, this is the place to stay. If you ask me if im going back? 100% yes!:)
Clean rooms, friendly helpful staff that went out of their way to help with our every need!
A beautiful and serene Riad in the midst of the busy medina. Hours after booking we received an email from the owner asking if we would like any transport to be arranged or reservations be booked. Marrakech is tricky and the transport is reasonable, definitely book through them! Also, if you have a day to treat yourself, definitely have them book a treatment at the hammam--one of the nicest and most reasonable spa days I have ever had. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Samira and Yousef were so kind and helpful, and John the owner took the time to get to know us which was really lovely. Breakfast was delicious, and was served on the patio which we loved spending time on. John and Elizabeth stock the patio with games and books, and of course lounge chairs, providing a perfect retreat from a long day in the streets of Marakkech. If we had it to do over, we would definitely stay at Riad Elizabeth again!
Leaving John (the owner) behind! He was awesome!!
Great staff, so kind and welcoming. They were so helpful in providing us with plenty of things to go and see, and places to eat. I would definitely come again!
The friendliness and authenticity. Full of wonderful character and charm. A delight.
Taxi rides are essential
The Riad is beautiful, the rooms are super nice and the staff exceptional! Good location too
Attentive staff and felt very well looked after. Had excellent recommendations from Samira, who was on also on hand to answer any questions we had. Breakfast and lunch were both delicious.
The wonderful owner and staff who made us feel at home instantly we arrived with mint tea and biscuits. We also appreciated their insights into the culture and thoughtful and helpful planning for us of our excursions and visits to restaurants, to which we were always accompanied whether walking or in a taxi. When we became lost a phone call to Samira led to a taxi arriving to pick us up within10 minutes. She was available to us 24/7, even on her day off. Nothing was too much trouble for any one and we felt relaxed, even spoilt, with the wonderful food, breakfasts and dinners on the rooftop terrace. Very Highly recommended!!
Nothing within the riad to complain about.
Lovely property on a quiet side street. The owner and hotel manager went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, give us recommendations of things to do, and keep us happy. I will stay here again next time I'm in Marrakech. We loved the roof terrace!
There is a slight smell in the bathrooms that I think is the result of the plumbing in the medina. It wasn't really a big issue for us but it might bother others.
Beautiful Riad. Fantastic staff. Perfect location. Great value for money.
We stayed one night before doing a walking trip in the Atlas mountains. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and went out of their way to offer assistance. This is a lovely modern Riad.
We loved staying at Riad Elizabeth. The Riad is beautiful, and the staff was truly professional and helpful. Our stay at this gorgeous Riad exceeded our expectations!
Excellent location, about 15 minutes from the markets, lovely breakfast on the terrace, very friendly and helpful staff.
The shower leaked all over the floor!
The small friendly style hotel, located in the heart of the medina. The staff could not do enough to help you get the most from your stay. Good food, great service and communication throughout, right from booking until departure.
Nothing. We will return
Cleanliness, friendly, family atmosphere. Well looked after throughout our stay. Hotel Manager Samira is excellent and a gem. What she doesn't know about Marrakesh is not worth knowing. Always there to provide help, advice and make your stay exceptionally confortable.
Location can be a little difficult to find at first but you do get used to it.
The hotel was great. Only 5 minutes walking from the souks. The staff was so nice and helpful. On our first night they offered to walk us to our restaurant since we hadn't had time to walk around. We also did the cooking class which was lovely. The meal we helped prepare was the best meal we had the whole time we were in Morocco.
