Score from 90 reviews Very good
The riad is extremely beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. The roof terrace is absolutely amazing. It's the perfect place for a relaxing moment in the middle of the charming but hectic city.
The first time, the riad is very difficult to find in a small alley. There are not a lot of power points in the room.
Riad Elytis is the perfect place to stay especially if you want to be taken care of. We were welcomed with mint tea and traditional snacks and showed to our room. The breakfast is amazing especially when taken on the terrace and consists of a mix of traditional Moroccan and Western style. The staff is great and always ready to help, especially Mohamed who speaks English and French. All in all a very good place to stay whether you want to relax in the jacuzzi and tan on the terrace or if you plan on visiting all the time. The riad is in a very good location!
Nothing negative to say, apart from the fact that it would have been nice to have a few amenities in the bathroom (shampoo, shower gel etc.), although it was great to have hair-dryer.
We really loved the fact that it was not too big and very cozy.It is in a great location with wonderful staff.Bery helpful and kind .The hotel was clean and the rooms were really lovely.I would definitely stay again.
The position and the staff were great. Loved it.
Breakfast was good but the evening wasn't to my taste meat dry and over cooked.
Good location in the Medina, nice interior style and decorations. Staff was helpful and polite even if we encountered a delicate situation with our room. Rooftop & interior court are lovely. Too bad that we couldn't enjoyed it at it's full potential.
Unfortunately we booked a room on the ground level, which was extremely humid and attacked by mold. Not being able to change the room with un upper level one we had to change the riad after one night stay. Don't know in the rest of the year, but in march the "Shehrazade Double Room" was surely not usable in that state. Left us a general feeling of being a bit overpriced for what actually offers.
Beautiful decor Helpful staff
We were told the hot tub didn't work and part of the reason we had booked this riad was for the rooftop hot tub.
In the heart of the Medina
1.Outstanding staff, polite, attentive and kind, nothing was too much trouble. 2.Location in a good, safe area, close, but not too close, to the square, and with a choice of good restaurants and cafes nearby. 3.Lovely roof terrace, with plenty of bird watching opportunities. 4. Clean, tidy, characterful and spacious rooms. 5. Good bathrooms. 6. Delicious, leisurely breakfasts. 7. 2 excellent traditional Moroccan dinners. 8. Everything that we wanted to see was within easy walking distance. 9. We liked the access via the alleyways. On the occasions when we came back well after dark, the riad had posted an escort at the top of the first alleyway to make sure that we got back safely. We didn't at any time feel that we needed an escort, but it was a thoughtful touch.
Nothing at all ! We don't have a single negative comment or reservation.
the staff were helpful regardless - Saleh especially did his very best as it was his first week.
wifi was not working Staff were lacking in english so best to avoid unless you french, arabic or berber language skills are good.
We like the accommodation, but mostly the staff who were so helpful.
We did not like the access to the Riad. It was too spooky.
Beds and bedding's were very clean and comfortable.Good shower and clean rooms. The roof terrace was clean, comfortable and chic.As a whole it is a clean Riad.
we stayed there during Xmas so it was cold in the morning where the breakfast was served (in the court yard). The heater which was used to warm up the area broke down two days after we arrived,it didn't get sorted out until the last day of our stay and they didn't have a spare one. They should stock up on less perfumed tea bags for breakfast as not everyone likes coffee or wants such strong perfumed tea in early mornings.
the house and the rooms are beautifully decorated and on a high grade level refurbished - with attention to every detail (till branded towels and cloth napkins for breakfast) - beautiful , stylish and spacious roof terrace, very good location to Medina . the one male staff we met was amazing polite in his manners, It could have beeen a clear 10 just for the building and the rooms - but more attention should be paid to "wellbeing" of the clients - e.g. heat the courtyard
it was freezing cold in the patio - heaters were standing around but not used - a nice gesture would also have been to fire the chimneys in the rooms, but it was neither done nor offered- One girl staff was lazy and - sorry to say - really not on the level to manage the reception
Nice staff, nice food, very quiet Riad in a great location.
The owner wasn't there while we stayed, so we missed some of the personnal attention that others have raved about! I would have liked to have a nice and warm fire in the fireplace in our room at the end of the afternoon!
The staff was excellent!
Too far into the maze of the Medina, The value is not equal to the quality that you get. That the pictures in all the websites are misleading and do not represent what it is actually. Overpriced.
Nice and very personal place. Nice breakfast in the morning. Helpful staff. Everything was great.
