Score from 120 reviews Excellent
Afid was a great host and spent time over mint tea poring over a map of the city to ensure I knew my whereabouts. The rooftop terrace was lovely and in my first day I was so relaxed up there I asked Nadia if she could prepare some food. She did and it was delicious and a full unexpected three course lunch. Open fire in the evening in the dining area and heating in the room so very comfortable. Afid goes out of his way to ensure everyone feels at home.
Wifi was good, but kept dropping out and hard to retrieve sometimes. That's all.
Comfortable bed and the good food. And a very good manager, Zhora who had everything organised, was helpful and friendly.
Only two wines, red and rose on offer.
The very friendly staff and clean Riad. Nice welcome diner and ambiance.
Very poor wifi, but this was not very important during our stay.
Friendly owner and staff. For how nice the riad is, it is cheap to stay here. Free mint tea as a welcoming gesture on arrival was a lovely touch. The Riad offers airport transfers which is very handy if arriving by night if you are tired! although alot more expensive then getting a taxi yourself. The riads food was lovely, worth the money and the room where you can eat dinner is beautiful. The riad has other facilities such as hammam message which guests seemed to like. It boasts an indoor pool which would be a great feature in the summer.
The riad was quite cold although i heard many riads are cold in winter. The staff do not speak english which was hard at times as we could not understand eachother but when the owner Zora and another staff member was around it was fine as they could speak perfect english.
I stayed here, and I do not regret my choice ! This riad was perfect, the location, the people, everything made our stay one of the best. The riad Fabiola is well located in the Medina, not too far from anything. It is well decorated, modern with a morocain touch. The room are a good size, the bed is very confortable. The food was great, chance to delicious Tajine and couscous! The breakfast was very filling and well prepared. I think what made this holiday so good was the customer service. The staff was so nice and helpful, especially Zora and Aziz Nothing was ever too much for them, they were wonderful! It really made it feel like home to home! And Marrakech is great! We will defintely be back to stay at this Riad! I recommend it to anyone!
we have just returned back from the riad Fabiola , we had a wonderful time, the riad is perfect to get a feel of Marrakech the staff where very helpful and friendly and made us all feel like part of a big family. The beds are really comfortable and the food is good value and tasty. The location is central to the main square, you can easily walk to any of the attractions in or around the Medina. We just loved our trip and can not recommend this riad highly enough ! Well done Zora and Aziz on being such excellent hosts !
Cleanliness was very good. Staff were good.
Room was too small, there were broken lights and The wifi didn't connect properly.
I've found the Riad absolutely amazing. They can pick you up from the airport if you arrive late night and even cook a delicious late dinner. The Riad is so beautiful, the decor is georgeous, we liked the patio with the swimming pool and the sun roof terrace the most. The rooms are very nice with a bathroom en suite looking like a proper hamman. It was warm, quiet and very confortable sleep there for 2 nights. The breakfast was fresh and yummy and the stuff very friendly and helpfull during our stay. The riad is locared just 10 minutes walking from the big square and we've found it very easy to go and back even at night.
Everything was perfect, it was a brilliant idea to book this Riad.
Zora and her staff were the best for us!! Thank you for being an awesome host and we really "felt like home" staying at your riad!It was truly maroccan experience! When we planned the group trip to Marrakech, we wanted to escape from our routine, have fun and relax. The true is that we have more than that with Zora's energie and inspiring conversations! The riad Fabviola was the perfect place in the midlle of Medina! And the breakfast was so tasty!!The room was cosy, very clean and the bed so confortable! We felt so welcomed there that we can’t say that enough!! Thank you, thank you!! We can not imagine stay in another place next time we go to Marrakech!
The location is fairly quiet and still close to many points of interest. The staff did their best and were very friendly.
The rooms were pretty dark (OK in summer of course), WiFi did not work most of the time, breakfast was poor and without variety.
very nice, charming and authentic Riad with nice rooms, a lovely terrace, and a nice pool. Everyone there is very friendly, helpful and nice. We love the host, Zora, and her very good staff. The food is the best we have had in Morocco, so you really don’t need to leave the Riad for eating outside. I would highly recommend this Riad.
Incredibly beautiful riad with a wonderful terrace and overal verry cool desing, very relaxed atmosphere, very helpful staff who speaks french and a little English, it takes about 10 minutes to walk to Jemaa El Fna saquare and the road is very busy (cars, mopeds, donkeys) but it's easy and cheap to take a taxi. if you want to go further from Marrakech, the staff is happy to book excursion at a decent price. steeping into lovely Riad after having been out in the streets truly made this our little oasis among the beautiful chaos that is Marrakech. would not even consider staying anywhere else whenerver we make our way back to Morrocco ..
Staff incredibly helpful, best Riad iv stayed in in Marrakech. Me and my mate stayed here for a week while we were over for a charity trek up toubkal and the staff at fabiola made it incredibly comfortable. Seriously highly recommend this Riad to anyone - especially first timers in Marrakech who want to live in an area that both allows for you to immerse in local culture but also to be a 10 minutes walk down one street to the square. Manager is great at her job made sure we were happy as did all staff, I'm serious they were perfect no complaints. Go to this Riad and experience real Marrakech!!!
For the first time ever, nothing.
It´s a beautiful and clean riad. The staff are helpful and friendly. Good quality/price ratio.
It's located inside of the wall but not in the centre of the medina.
Very nice swimming pool with relaxing atmosphere. They have own hammam.
shower head and toilet seat broken. early wake up from the outside prayer sounds.
The Riad is not right in the medina but the location is easy to access. The decoration inside is beautiful! Lovely eating area with swimming pool and very nice terrace on top. We have stayed here twice this year and will come back! Staff is lovely and the breakfast is delicious!
I have found this in almost every Riad and it´s the smell of humidity in the rooms coming from the bathrooms.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was really nice and neat. As soon as I walked in it was heaven! So quiet, relaxed and neat. I would 100% return there and recommend it to anyone.
The only weakness was the wifi signal dropped out now and then and didn't completely reach our room. But was nice to spent time on the terrace or downstairs in the swimming pool area using the wifi, chilling on my tablet during some hotel downtime and be away from my room.
Staff Room Peaceful Friendly helpful
The call to prayer at 5am kept me awake
The staff were wonderful, helpful, attentive, friendly. A credit. The Riad was 10 mins walk from the Jemaa El Fna. It is a cool airy place and very clean with a couple of sun terraces, ideal for evenings. Lovely breakfasts. We can't praise the accommodation nor staff highly enough.
The bed was a bit hard! But then, from our experiences, all beds in Morocco are like this!
People working there are friendly. Fathma and Afid try the best for you. You can go to main squeare Place Jemaa El Fna in 12 minutes by foot.
There is not a list of prices of tea and coffee. They offers it to you and dont tell you that you have to pay when check out. And one tea cost double that outside.
The Riad arranged our airport transfers which I would highly recommend (€20 for 4 of us from airport to Riad). On arrival at the Riad we were some what apprehensive of the location as the Riad is located down a very narrow street (no cars allows). Don't expect any neon lights or signs outside the hotel. However once the traditional wooden doors open to the Riad you will find yourself in Moroccan tranquillity. The staff are very friendly & very helpful & were always at hand for information. Make sure you book a Hammam & massage at the Riad (approx €45 for both of us half hour hammam each & 1hr massage each) Great experience & all under your roof. Samira & Aziz were always available for information & organising tours. Excursions are probably cheaper through a tour agent but for convenience & as we had our 2 boys with us we did not want to take any risks & if there were any problems we could go back to the hotel to deal with them. Samira even organised for someone to come to the Riad for me to have a manicure/pedicure followed by a massage all in all over 2 & half hour experience for about €55. Probably the best massage I've had & the convenience of being in your hotel. Breakfast is simple usually 2 types of bread/pancake, jam, butter, orange juice & mint tea / coffee. The pool is not heated & as it is in the shade was too cold for us but others didn't seem to mind. It's a good 15-20min walk to the souks & the square depending on time of day as evenings were very busy but this may have been because it was Ramadan & breaking their fast at night, but an easy walk. There are lots of restaurants around the square. We had a good meal for 4 which included chicken tagine & lamb couscous & 2 plates grilled meats for 180dhs. Atms & bureau de change within the square. The Riad is a great place to come back to, to wind down after the hustle & bustle within the square.
All in all great value for money. Perfect place to experience Marrakech.
Arriving at midnight we were a bit worried as the surrounding neighbourhood is quite rough looking. But the riad is a haven! Breakfast every day was delicious and we had dinner one night and it was excellent. Location is a bit of a walk to the main market but then you actually get to see real Marrakech. Riad Fabiola was excellent - friendly helpful staff who don't laugh at your rusty high school French!!
A warning that a mosque loud speaker was pointing directly into the riad and a call to prayer was going to come at 5am would hve been good! But you actually get used to it v quickly - I slept through it after the first night.
We were a little apprehensive about how we would get on in Marrakech but our feras were soon allayed when we met Zora the manager, her care, thoughtfulness and knowledge of the city helped us to do the things we wanted to, breakfast was always something to look forward to, with an array of choices, the riad soon began to feel like a home from home for us and it 's a place wehope to go back to someday,it's an excelent base for independent travellers who want to see the real Marrakech nearly, so much without the hospitality of the riad fabiola team, the Riad itself is beautiful, clean and oasis of calm, witch was definitely needed after aday in the city .highly recommended
I loved the very relaxed atmosphere and silence - at just few minutes walk from the joyful mess of Jemaa el Fna... in the eve I had a healthy hamman+massage treat with a delicious orange blossom oil and went to sleep in heaven!
Meal was nice but expensive Rooms were clean and comfortable Most staff members friendly
Had difficulty with one staff member over-charging for rooms. No wi-fi meant that it was impossible to prove otherwise via booking details as having to rush for flight. also tried to charge double the fair price to hire taxi for airport. Can of fanta or coke is 2 euros Was supposed to be cheapest riad we stayed in and ended up being expensive
