Beautiful, serene place. Really comfortable and wonderful, friendly people working there. We were so lucky to have the place to ourselves. The roof terrace gave a vantage point across the medina while allowing us to relax in blissful peace. The only problem was that wifi only really worked down on the ground floor, but it was still a nice space to use it in. Would highly recommend.
The interior of the Riad is nice, the room is spacious. The housekeeper - Abdaslam is a very kind person, even though we couldn´t communicate to each other (he speaks French and Arab only), he is eager to assist us all the time and make our stay pleasant.
We were forced to pay the whole payment on the second day of our stay (we booked for 3 nights), just because we planned to go to Chefchaouen for a day trip and they worried that we will not return to the hotel. The Hotel Manager didn´t let us go out before we make the payment, she even wanted to keep our passports. After half an hour of argument, she finally understood that we will return by night after our day trip. However, she already ruined our plan and we were half an hour late for a concert. I understand that this is her job to make sure they will get paid, but the way she did is totally without any respect and courtesy.
the lovely yard with trees. perfect decoration, large room. easy location in the medina.
bad beds!!!very bad
Beautiful room and terrance
The personnel was very friendly and helpfull. The view from the roof tarace was impressive. Our room (sofia suite) was very nice and clean. I recommend this riad.
it was hard to find the riad. The neighbourhoud is a labyrinth. Location on Google maps somewhere else. But that is all not the fault of the riad. On the roof was no wifi signal.
Staff were eager to please and friendly. Room was spacious and super clean.
Location in the medina. Staff was generally friendly, but caused an issue over payment (on arrival we were confirmed that credit card was ok, but 'suddenly' the system did not work etc etc The manager denied she could write a simple invoice as proof of payment ). It is quite unpleasant in a country well known for haggling and hustling.
The bottom line Don't go there in "winter". It was cold, rainy days, for which this Riad is not equipped, impossible to heat! There was an incident with the friendly factotum, AbdSalam, who "guided" us in cold pouring rain, ending in an upscale restaurant. We spotted gas heaters and asked if they worked for our visit some hours later. Then, when we arrived, the gas burners, all 3 , did not work. So we ended eating, freezing -and incidentally paying a price 3-4 times higher for a just acceptable menu which we had had in a "Moroccan" place earlier.
The staff was very helpful. The rooms were clean. Compared to other prices and a riads I've seen, this has an excellent value for money.
Calm. Location. Trees in the courtyard. Friendly & helpful staff.
Some cobwebs to be cleared away.
