Amazing location, great staff and good rooms, what more can you ask for?
Very good value for money, good breakfast and friendly host! Highly recommended.
Lovely Riad, very quiet and peaceful. Easy to get to the main square and really close to the Photography museum, Medersa Ben Youssef and Marrakech museum. The staff were friendly and wonderful. Especially Wafi, even though his English was not great he was very patient and helpful in explaining things to me. Breakfast was really good, lots of different breads with homemade pudding and fruit salad. Also really useful tips given by the owner. Would love to stay here again!
The staff were wonderful and inside the riad was very clean and well kept.
No key was given to the external door of the riad which meant you had to knock and wait to be let in. The small walkway is dark and smells extremely offensive of cat urine. On one occasion we waited over 5mins to be let in and felt nauseous from the smell outside. No TV and very poor and inconsistent wifi signal.
It's an oasis of peace in hectic Marrakech
Nothing at all!
Romantic and visually appealing room. Crisp clean linnins. Well equiped.
Difficult to find as they have no sign. Neighbors ask for money to tell you where the Riad is located. Frence spoken. English speaking staff were not onsite except to check in for a few minutes each day. Included breakfast was unacceptable our first day and just "okay" the second.
Riad Ghemza is the perfect, zen shelter, in the heart of the chaotic medina, spotlessly clean and comfy with autentic, atmospheric enterier. The hospitality and the tips of the owners make your Marrakesh experience much more safe and enjoyable.Warmly recomended.
Really central Samir and Davies are very helpful. Excellent breakfast.
Lovely place - the third and last Rhiad we stayed in and the best. The staff were excellent, as were our room, breakfast and service. It can be difficult to find in the Medina but that's usual in the Marrakesh Medina which is huge.
Tiny piece of advice! Guests should be requested to keep their voices down when coming in late at night. The beautiful atrium acts as an amplifier. If guests need to get an early night (as we did on our last night there) it can be a nuisance.
The Riad is in a great location, just 10 mins walk to the north of the main Jeema square. We stayed in two different rooms before and after we took a trip to the desert, and both were lovely. Comfy bed, nice shower, effective air-con. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. Overall, good value for money and we would definitely book again.
The wifi wasn't great, and was only really effective in the public courtyard area. Samir from the Riad booked our desert trip and although we enjoyed it, we didn't get everything we asked for (we wanted to stay overnight in the High Atlas mountains) so we'd advise getting an itinerary confirmed in writing before departure if you book a trip with the Riad.
Nicely renovated Riad. Room very comfortable with excellent bathroom. Staff very helpful
Wifi didn't work in the Berber room
We booked last minute and have got reduced price offering, so it was great value for money. The place is very neat and clean, staff was very helpful, we even got breakfast served at 4 in the morning when leaving to the airport.
The place is really difficult to find. In fact the was not a single sign with the name of the hotel anywhere, so don't get confused when searching for it. Ask for exact directions or specify exact arrival time, so someone can meet you.
Great little place only 10min walk from the main square (once you know your way around!). Good breakfast; pancakes, breads and sometimes eggs. Samir was very helpful and sorted out our hammam and also our transfer to the mountains. Nice to be welcomed with mint tea also!
Not much really. It would be difficult to find so I'd recommend a transfer from the airport. The terrance is lovely though no view as it's not high enough.
The location of the riad is great - a good easy straight walk to the square which wasn't too difficult to navigate. The service of the road staff was impeccable. Samir was amazingly helpful and went out of his way to ensure we got the best out of our few days.
The room was perhaps a touch chilly and damp but having said that I'd rather it was cool than too hot - probably suits the warmer summer months perfectly.
very friendly staff, good and diversified breakfest, close to the big square for us, it was hard to find, but we didnt check our mails before - you should definitely do this before you arrive at Marrakech!
the people working at the Riad are so friendly and helpful! They are the main asset to this Riad for sure.
Location of the Riad could be highlighted better as it is located in a very remote narrow alley which can be tricky when it is dark
Fabian and Samir were really helpful and friendly. The raid was just brilliant. Lovely rooms, perfect location. We had a brilliant time and this was helped by the excellent accommodation.
Very beautiful place. Rooms are very well organized and kept on a daily based. Stuff are very very polite and helpfull. Breakfast is served beautiful . Every day little deferent . Homemade cakes and Jam. We enjoy the place very much.
Some challenge to find the place . But really worth the effort . We got good instruction by email from the owner so recommend to ask for .
Lovely luminous and nicely decorated house. Good location. Extremely helpful staff.
The managment were very friendly and helpful and it's a lovely Riad.
This Riad is very hard to find without asking a local for help. There is no sign.
The staff is amazing - all really sweet, honest and helpful, always offering us coffee, tea, giving us all sorts of tips and advise on how to behave, who to trust, helping us with booking tours, shuttles, activities, etc. We booked a lot of things thorough our Riad and it was probably the best part of our trip. The place is very pretty, with a lot of natural light - even thought one of the rooms did not have a direct window, which again, is something that happens in most riads. Rooms were spacious and a lot better that other roads we checked. We were concerned about the location but it turned our to be great too. Not right next to the big square but it was easy to get there once you learned the way and close to other tourist attractions like museums, restaurants and so on. I saw review that say the Riad is hard to find but everything is hard to find in Marrakech when you get there for the first time and no other place would be easy. I would certainly recommend Ghemza and stay there again!
Our first room had a bit of a funny smell. When we pointed it out the hotel staff didn't hesitate changing us. Funny smells are kinda of normal in Marrakech so we don't blame the Riad for it, since the room was very clean and pretty.
Everything is just perfect! Stuff are superb and hope to back again!
Samia Fabian and the rest of the staff were always smiling and very helpful with lots of insider information about Marrakesh. It was very clean and fresh the décor is quite artisan and the breakfast varied and interesting. We were made to feel extremely welcome and all the little touches made it feel like home.
The heater in our room did not work and although it was warm enough with the quilt , abit more heat would have been welcome.
This was the nicest riad we have ever stayed in with large rooms, so much light and very good breakfasts. The hosts provided fantastic advice and directions for whatever you wanted to do.
The service of this Riad is amazing! The staff is kind and super helpful. Our stay in Marrakesh was great thanks to them! I highly recommend this Riad.
It's a bit hard to find, but for a tourist everything in Marrakesh is hard to find. So i don't consider this as a downside of the Riad.
