Riad Green Mango & SPA

We had the best of times at Riad Green Mango. Top marks for the SPA, which has recently opened. Service was discreet and elegant. Nothing was too much trouble. The room, our candlelit dinner on the roof terrace, eveything was perfect.

This riad is amazing! It's like a little paradise, the people are very nice and the food is excellent. Breakfast is delicious and in de evening you can have a 3 course meal for only 20 euro! I you want to go somewhere in the medina, you can always ask someone from the riad to show you the way. They are very helpfull and do everything with a smile :). I really recommend this riad as an excellent place to discover the city of marrakech!

Riad was in a great location close to Jemma el F'na but away from tourist zones. Riad well designed and very stylish. Great hosts.

Patrick and Marie were excellent stand in hosts for their son. Nice top floor room typical of a Riad, lovelly and clean and just refurbished. Food on an evening we stayed in was beautiful with special effort from everyone for an aniversary meal and drink. Breakfast was very nice, fresh and a great start to the day with a good mixture of eggs,bread,cake,preserves,pastries, fruit and drinks. Great location from walking out the door to being in the Souks and main square within minutes. Hard to believe the turmoil only a few feet outside the Riad and the tranquility inside. Only noise was the religious chanting early in the morning that would last around ten minutes sometimes coming from the residential area the Riad is located. The Riad even organised a member of staff to take us out the first morning free of charge to orientate ourselves. You really need to get orientated quickly to find your way out and into this location as its really exceptionally busy outside with just the locals buying and selling within a few metres of the door from stalls and local little cupboard type shops.with the crowds and motor bikes flying around in between pedestrians it can be a bit daunting at first. Just beware of people in the street telling you any story to get you to go with them to local places then wanting money The Riad organised a taxi to and from the airport that saved a load of hassle as noone knows where half the riads are so it was door to door. The Riad also organised a trip to the sea for us and a trip to the Atlas mountains, both excellent trips and great English speaking drivers and payment direct to the Riad rather than having to haggle not knowing if you were safe or not. A great first experience and we would recommend to anyone.

I love atmoshere of fire place in the very spacious room. Great bathroom and family-like hospitality of host.

The staff of Green Mango was just lovely. Very helpful without overdoing it. They had some nice tips for excursions and arranged them for us. Also they have a very good chef there! So if you don't feel like going out into the hustle of Marrakech, just let them know and they prepare a great lunch or dinner at a reasonable price. Location was both good and not so good. It is a little further from the main square, which was a little disappointing at first, but then I discovered that they are actually really close to the northern part of the Medina, where you have some great, more 'hip' places to eat. Also, because this part of the souk is a little further from the main square, it is much better to get a good bargain and they maintain a better 'no scooter' policy in this part. Which, believe me, is a big plus! Also better if you like I, do not like feeling like too much of a tourist amongst tourist. So in the end, the location worked for me and better probably than if I would have stayed closer to the main square.

If you have the room on the top floor, be warned that all the air- conditioning units are directly on the roof of your bedroom and this does make noise! As we were staying in winter, they were off most of the time and didn't bother us too much, but in summer I suspect this would have been a different story.

Great service. Lovely roof terrace with whirpool. Al fresco-dinner at the roof pergola. If you want to stay in the Medina with just a few steps to some of the most busy small streets - this is your place.

Service excellent Food great

The Riad is beautiful, with a lot of design and improvements. It is only minutes from the Place El Fna. Our room was beautiful with an impressive bathroom. Everything including food was fine. But much more than this is the attitude of the owners and staff. You are received with a lot of kindness, you are helped and assisted at every moment. The way Mr Pierre has handled a small mistake in room reservation is an example of " Hosteler ". Every one is kind and relaxed. Coming from the noise streets of the Medina you enter a small paradise. We will return as soon as possible.

The location of the Riad is fantastic for people that want to experience the Medina. Hidden by some small alleys you are really in the middle of it surrounded by the locals and their families with just around the corner the chaos of the Medina that is so familiar to it. The Riad itself is an oasis where you can enjoy a fantastic breakfast to start your day before you wander off to get lost in the souks or walk to the Jemna el Fna square. Coming home in the evening, the owners wife Sarah cooks delicious traditional Moroccan meals at your request that you can have in one of the beautiful niches downstairs or on the terrace that has a spectacular view on the city. Please do take the transfer that you are being offered because there is no way you are going to find this place by yourself. The rooms are beautiful designed and will give you that feeling that you found yourself in a fairytale. Bismillah!

There is nothing I can imagine someone would not like about this place and I have stayed at 2 other Riads on other occasions.

Green Mango is a stylish, contemporary riad decorated in soothing colors and clean lines. Sebastian and Sarah have done an excellent job in creating a sophisticated Moroccan look without all the clutter and busy-ness of most other riads. The jacuzzi on the terrace is the perfect place to watch a romantic sunset and the rooms are have fresh roses- lovely.

The bathtub of our room, suite ramelle, was only set up for baths, so to take a shower you had to hold up the shower head with your hand and be careful where to angle it so as not to spray out into the rest of the bathroom, as there is no curtain. Just a minor comment on form vs. function. Also, the rooms are not soundproof so you can hear very easily when other guests open and close their doors or talk in the walkway.Luckily most of the guests were considerate enough to tread quietly, but the doors and their giant, beautiful locks are very loud upon opening and closing. Also there was some construction outside so the workers were up and banging away at 7am saturday morning.

This is a very nice riad in the heart of Marrakech Medina. Owner and his wife are a very attentive and hospitable. Interior design is a good mixture of authentic and modern style. The roof area has a wonderful places to spend a nice time on fresh air.

Fantástico desde el minuto uno. Te hacen sentir realmente bien y cuidan hasta el más mínimo detalle. Limpieza, diseño acertado y cómodo y una localización relativamente buena, está a sólo 10 minutos de la Djemma el Fna tras un “interesante” paseo a pie. El desayuno es simplemente genial y el SPA tiene tratamientos muy sofisticados a buen precio. Volveremos.

Un séjour top, personnel aux petits soins, suite magnifique, un véritable havre de paix illuminé de 1000 bougies et parfumé à la fleur d'oranger! Parfait!

Der Kontrast zwischen der sehr 'einheimischen' Umgebung und dem sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten Zimmer, dem Innenhof etc. Das beste Frühstück, das wir in M. hatten, Marie und Patrick sind sehr aufmerksame, hilfsbereite Gastgeber.

Tout d abord un grand merci pour l accueil, le service, la cuisine et la sympathie. Que du bonheur! Merci pour les attentions! À l écart du bruit de la ville, un véritable havre de paix. Magnifique et reposant. C est vraiment une adresse à retenir.

Das Personal ist unglaublich nett und die Besitzer noch viel netter. Das Riad ist schön eingerichtet und hat etwas sehr familiäres. Alles führt dazu, dass man sich gut aufgehoben fühlt und erholt aus dem Urlaub zurück kommt. Wir würden jeder Zeit wieder ins Green Mango zurückkommen.

Incastonato tra le stradine della medina, quasi nascosto, incanta per la sua intimità, design e accoglienza calorosa dei proprietari che parlano inglese e francese. Piccolo e inaspettato. Camere affascinanti ed essenziali; molto bella la vasca da bagno grande. Ottima la colazione e la cena. Consiglio di accettare il trasporto privato dall'aeroporto al riad messo a disposizione, altrimenti impossibile da trovare. Ho trovato la medina un posto "sicuro" anche alla sera nonostante un borseggiatore ci abbia provato. Basta evitare tracolle, borse, etc.
