Located in the old Medina, this 17th-century guest house offers 3 shaded, rooftop terraces overlooking the city. Featuring a Moorish and Andalusian design, it has a wellness centre with hammam.

Dar Tahrya is a traditional bed and breakfast in the Talaâ dictrict of Fez. It offers air conditioned rooms, a hammam and two terraces overlooking the medina (historic quarter).

Staff were welcoming and pleasant to speak with. Rooms were clean. Overall I'd recommend this riad.
Shower was playing up, but got the job done. Maybe it requires a change.
You could not get a facility as close to all the action of Fez as this riad, In a few seconds, a visitor can join the throngs of people and the bustle of the medina of this worthy city. The best thing, was the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. We were personally met at the entry to the medina by the manager and escorted to the riad..
I would have preferred a bedroom not opening right onto the dining room. There were some lovely bedrooms on higher floors, but I suspect they were more expensive.
Totally to recommend. The Riad is just at the entrance of the Medina, hence easy to get there and out. The room was nice, as was the staff, the breakfast and terrace. Great wifi. They offered us transfer from airport for 170DH (and came to pick us up), which is probably a bit more than normal price but is ok. Taxi to train station costed 20 DH. They also offered us a tour to Medina for 150DH/person.
There is not much that I dud not like. Sometimes one has the feeling to be treated as a "typical tourist". They also offered us a tour to Medina for 150DH/person, which was nice (but one can try to get around without it) except the fact that the guide brings you across all the shops he knows.
Great location Make you feel like one of the family Staff are friendly Breakfast was great We had a tour guide recommended by the manager and he was great
Nothing - we would gladly stay again
Wonderful location at the medina, close to the blue gate. Ali, the manager of the riad, does a fantastic job caring for the tourists and always being in every detail.
This wonderful riad is literally a hole in a wall right in the heart of the old medina. As we walked through the old medina, following our porter, we thought we were walking back in time through the medieval ages. And then, we walked into an alley and entered this hole. Then, the beauty and grandeur of the riad hit us! The intricate designs on the walls and giant doors, the stucco work and plaster designs on our bedroom walls. Everything is beautiful and splendid! The staff is wonderful and Mohammed was helpful and insightful. On our 1st day, he brought us to the terrace (the steps are steep and it is quite a climb) and showed us the places to visit and things to look out for. Breakfast is served in the courtyard daily and Fatma makes the best sunny side up, sprinkled with salt and cumin (why didn't I think of that?). We had a wonderful stay!
Riad Hala is an excellent riad. It is located in the medina, not far from the Bab Boujeloud Gate. The location is perfect if you are driving, as there is a large, secure parking lot not far from the gate. If you phone the riad they will send someone to bring you to the riad. It is a beautiful riad, very clean and comfortable. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful. They serve a very nice breakfast in the courtyard.
This is not a negative, as it is an excellent riad, but be aware that the steps are steep. So if this is a problem, then ask for a room on the lower level.
First-class location in the medina, near many good eateries (esp. Restaurant des Jeunes at Bab Boujeloud). Style of building. Sunny roof terrace. Good breakfast.
The receptionist were extremely helpful and hospitable.
The WiFi signal was sketchy in the room but worked great in the courtyard.
Amazing staff especially Ali, amazing rooms, great location, great breakfast, mint tea anytime you want
This an absolutely gorgeous Ryad in the Medina. It's excellent located and the staff was amazing. All very supportive and willing to help. They offered us good useful information on how to discover Fes. Great place to stay in Fes and would definitely come back next time.
It's truly in the heart of the medina, but you wouldn't know it from the inside. Very quiet and secure. Beautiful Moroccan decor. Our hosts could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Great price too. Would definitely recommend!
Lovely design and very nice breakfast. Most rooms were lovely just don't get the twin room! Nice terrace to sit in the evening. Great location. One minute from cafe clock and five minutes from the blue gate. Felt very safe walking around the medina day and night. Lots of cafes and restaurants close by. No pressure from shopkeepers.
The twin room was a terrible dungeon. Dark with low ceilings and smelly bathroom. Other rooms are fine though.
