Hostess. Location. Decor. Complete package
This is the only criticism I could think of and that is that a little background music would be a good idea
Friendly Immaculate Great staff
The very High Spec fixtures, fittings and furnishings, The facilities (amazing roof terrace and nice pool), The breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful High quality toiletries, plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the bathroom
Drinking water was 10 x the price for the same bottle available 2 blocks away. En-suite Bathroom and TOILET didn't have a door separating it from the bedroom
Once the owner heard it was our 25th wedding anniversary we were greeted with a rooftop romantics dinner for two and our room decorated with flowers beautifully. Much appreciated and made our stay even more special . The rooftop garden with plunge pool is sensational, we loved this place and would visit again.
1. Isabelle's care and attention to her guests. We were treated royally. Unbeleivably helpful and friendly . 2. Riad is central and beautifully decorated & maintained throughout. 3. Wi-Fi, TV, Air-Con all working perfectly. 4. Tasty breakfast served on scenidc roof-top terrace. Equally satisfying to relax here at night. 5. Even those close to main square, surprisingly quiet. 6. Flexibility about using room after check-out time. In summary a beautiful boutique hotel with five star service. Thanks Isabelle.
We enjoyed a lovely couple of days at Riad Hizad. Our room was perfect and the Riad is in an great location just a few minutes walk from the main square. Staff were very friendly and helpful and made it a really comfortable stay. Thank you very much!
Breakfasts could have maybe been improved by the inclusion of some fresh fruit along with the orange juice.
The decoration is stunning! the pool is in the terrace, so you can get some sun. The owner was extremely nice and helpful, giving us tips and even negotiating with a taxi driver for us when we accidentally bumped into her in a restaurant. Breakfast was lovely, especially the Moroccan pancakes. I'd definitely go back again and again!
Room was a bit dark, but we didn't spend much time there. There was no door in the bathroom/ toilet. The pool is slightly smaller than what you see in the pictures, but the terrace is amazing anyway and we still enjoyed a nice splash in the water :)
Incredible facilities in a great location.luxury Moroccan accommodation
good size room close to the main square staff really helpful
impossible to reach by taxi (you need a 10 min walk)
Wonderful hospitality, especially with young children. The pool is fab, best tea in Marrakech!
It was perfect in every respect!
We loved everything about our stay at Riad Hizad and the service provided by our host, Isabelle and her staff was impeccable. Riad Hizad is an oasis of peace and tranquility, the perfect complement to the noise and frenetic life of the Souks. The location was excellent for touring Marrakech on foot, about 10 minutes to the main square. Isabelle, was extremely helpful regarding information to help us make the most of our stay and organised transfers to and from the airport. We had breakfast outside on the roof terrace, which was simple and delicious including freshly squeezed orange juice, pancakes, local bread and homemade preserves. Our room was clean, spacious and tastefully designed; the bed was very comfortable and we slept well. There was plenty of hot water and exquiste toiletries were provided including handmade soap. We chose to eat at the Riad on two of our three night stay and the home-cooked traditional food, served in a tagine with interesting vegetable side dishes, was delicious. Having had such a wonderful time here we hope to return and have no hesitation in recommending Riad Hizad to anyone wishing to visit Marrakech.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and dinners were excellent centrally located Isabelle ensure we knew were to go and made suggestions as to what we should see in the days we visited to make the most of our time there transfers arranged to and from airport at reasonable cost and were on time weather was beautiful!
1. Location - 5-10 mins walk to the main square Jemaa el fna (would be a bit difficult to find at the first place, but once you know the way, it's super convenient) 2. Staff staff staff - The staffs are super nice and attentive. Even though they don't speak much English, they still make you feel very welcomed. 3. The owner of the riad - Isabelle is very helpful. She gave us a lot of info. about the city and how to get to where. 4. Dinner is fantastic with reasonable price. 5. The breakfast on the terrace is FANTASTIC. The area is not that big but each table could still have their privacy. I'd definitely recommend this little courtyard house to all the travellers!!!
1. Room fee has to be paid by cash. A bit inconvenient.
The riad hizard is a tranquil haven amongst the chaos of Marrakech. The riad is absolutely gorgeous and our room was beautiful. The rooftop is the perfect place to relax and we spent a lot of time there enjoying listening to the world go by. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, Isabelle and the staff at the riad hizard made our stay very relaxing. We would thoroughly recommend staying here.
Absolutely nothing, we loved our stay here.
Fantastic staff - Isabelle was incredibly helpful and friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. The room and roof terrace were great and all the staff were attentive.
Isabelle, the owner treated us like family. She helped us with everything we asked. Cooked us 2 beautiful dinners and even helped us in the Souks, exceptional service. The pictures on the website do not give it justice as to how beautiful it really is. We had a magical stay and will be recommending this Riad to all of our friends. I recommend emailing Isabelle to help you with transfers, excursions and anything else you thinking about doing in Marrakech, she will really look after you, like she did for us
Our short stay was quite nice and confortable and Isabelle the owner was most friendly and helpful in all the tips she gave us. The Riad is very well decorated, a mix of modern and classical arabe, exquisite. Our suite was unique, I will never forgot that space... Transfers to the hotel and back to airport were very well organized. We will recommend this Riad to our friends. Isabel and João - Lisbon
The Riad is located in a zone a bit spooky when you go back at night...it would help some signs in the street or at the corner.
The roof terrace was superb to watch the sunset and relax away from the hustle and bustle. The bedrooms were spacious and well decorated and the lounge areas were all different in style and comfortable. The staff were helpful and polite and it was great that we were escorted and collected to walk back from the restaurants at night. it was close to walk to the shops and you could experience the tourist area and the local area. Isabelle helped with booking transfers from the airport and recommending where to eat for lunch and dinner and a superb spa. Just dont be worried by how you first walk to the riad as it is down narrow alleys, as once you pass through the front door you will not be disappointed, we all had a wonderful time shopping, relaxing and belly dancing!
Not a complaint but just feedback on what guests would like to know prior to booking. It was a bit of a shock for the airport taxi to drop us off and then to have a 10 minute walk to the Riad, although escorted it would have been nice to know and prepare yourself for walking through the streets. Also we were only made aware on the day of check out that we could only pay the hotel in cash, advance notice at time of booking of this would have been appreciated.
Riad Hizad is simply The Best! The pick up service from the airport included Hassan from the riad who guided us from a little square to the riad late in the evening. Next morning we got a simple map which made it easy to find our way in the souks and back to the riad. Isabelle and her staff made us feel like a part of a family and still having our privacy. We like the interior design very much. The weather was a bit cold and we were met by a fire in the fireplace each morning and evening. One evening we had a wonderful dinner by the fireplace in a separate dining room with a beautifully set table and delicious food. Isabelle is a wonderful hostess and is very helpful with whatever you ask for. A problem is a problem just until Isabell takes care of it! Riad Hizad is a riad we will highly recommend to anyone!
Staff were lovely and very helpful. Riad is beautiful and very peaceful.
Pool was cold and not very clean. Evening meal very expensive at 20 euros each!
The owner was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with all kinds of information and had good recommendations. Her map of the location was good and her advice invaluable. The staff was helpful, friendly and the service fast.
Loved the location as it was truly in the very heart of the marina. Loved the recommendations of where to eat and visit - matched everything our guide book advised us to do! The whole team were nothing short of excellent.
Isabelle was an excellent host, very friendly, informative and amazingly helpful and concerned when I was taken ill with appendicitis on the last night of our stay. Very attentive staff. Roof terrace. Evening meals when we ate in. Breakfats simple but delicious. Riad was beautiful, delightfully furnished and rooms spacious. Heating available and tv with an English speaking channel . Wonderful bathroom and shower. Very quiet.
The bed was spacious but too firm and it would have been nice to have one brighr light in the bedroom. Being in the middle of the medina meant dodging bikes and peple whilst negotiating alleyways to get back each evening.
Ambiance of the Riad
The location is a bit intimidating We were not alone in being wary of the walk back after dark. The meals in the Riad were relatively expensive.
