At first glance the Riad seemed a little far from where I wanted to be, but in fact it turned out to be the perfect location. You can easily get anywhere from Riad Imilchil. it is also one of the only Riads you can get your taxi to drive you straight to the front door ( Handy when you are going back late at night ) The rooms are beautifully decorated and perfectly kept, you can count on restful sleep and an energised wake up call. Thank you to the wonderful owner who made us feel truly at home, with a wonderful home cooked meal and enough advice and knowledge for us to walk around the medina like we've been here for months. I am sure to return to Riad Imilchil with family and friends. Thank you.
Leaving.. I didn't want to leave
From the moment we stepped inside we felt like we belonged in Riad Imilchil. Funny that we had been in the town of Imilchil a few days before, which set the tone for our conversations with Mohamed and his staff. Marrakech can get a little overwhelming but this Riad was a haven of peace and pleasure. The hospitality and attentiveness helped us plan our days, see the sights, shop the town, and re-create like a local. Mohamed and staff, Thank you and looking forward to seeing you again.
The staff were so friendly - they often drove us around to where we needed to be, and personally showed us the way to walk to the main square. When one of us was sick with a cold, each of the staff brought her their own personal remedy drink to help her recover (very sweet). Everything was not a problem!
The staff were all very friendly and made me feel very at home. The room and whole riad was lovely and had good wifi and airconditioning. The dinners were very nice. I felt that Mohammed and the other staff here went out of their way to make sure I enjoyed my stay in Marrakech. The location is good, about 10 minutes walk to the main square and souks, also very close to palace etc.
The rooms were very atttractive, clean, and spacious and the courtyard and living room were beautiful spaces to hang out. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and checked with us regularly to see if we needed anything. We stayed six nights and were sad to say goodbye to them!
Great place to stay !!!
Very friendly owner Mohammed, staff is really helpful. Very beautiful riad, each room has unique design, rooftop terrace is nice. Delicious food. You feel that you stay at home.
Very friendly staff, always helpful and with a smile. The Riad is conveniently located and offers a good retreat from the medina.
I stayed this riad for two nights, and they provided me with great experience. They served me tajin dinner, which was not actually included in the price. Also, they arranged me Sahara desert tour, which was really awesome.
After getting back from desert tour , I got a very small room with concrete walls on the 3rd floor. There was actually no bathroom in the room and had to use the one for employees. Since I am travelling around as a back-packer, I am used to this kind of room, still they billed me the same price as the normal rooms.
Great hospitality, staff deserves applause for their warm welcome, always happy to assist you. This Riad distinguishes itself absolutely.
-Simplicity and friendliness of the Mgt and staffs -Nice rooms and surroundings, including terrace -Good location
-A bit dark and stuffy. I guess it's the case with most Riads(?)
Very friendly staff, they showed us the first day how to get around in Marrakech so we won't get lost and were always very helpful and kind. Rich breakfast and nice tea during the whole day. They also helped us with arranging a tour to Merzouga / desert. We were lucky to get an upgrade and the room we had was very spacious, especially the bathroom was lovely. The terrace is nice and relaxing when you return from the souks / city.
We didn't mind but the wifi was not working inside our room. We didn't feel completely comfortable walking through the narrow streets at night, although nothing happened.
Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful, they really tried their best to make our stay enjoyable. Beautiful riad, lovely rooms and bathrooms and excellent breakfast.
Not as central as other hotels/ riads but still able to walk to the main square in 5 mins and worth it for the price!
A lovely, friendly riad in a good location. The staff were exceptionally helpful and were a fantastic source of local knowledge - even going so far as to take us to local places, E.G. for a hammam and to find out the best deals on local goods. The owner took us on a day excursion to the Atlas mountains; after a morning's walking, we had lunch up on a roof near the top of the mountains - amazing! Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and this really made a difference to our stay in Morrocco. It was the first time we visited, and it takes a while to get used to it and find your bearings. Most people are after your money and it helps when a local can help you negotiate where to go and what to do. Would definitely stay here again, on a return visit to Marrakesh.
Great Riad with a really friendly owner. He helped us a lot in fine-tuning our roundtrip in Morocco. He knows a lot of people and can arrange a lot too (like desert excursions) at reasonable prices.
"Remember, this is your home, your house, while you are in Marrakech", said our warm host Muhammed when we entered Riad Imilchil. And it certainly was the oases of rest and peace in beautiful surroundings in the city bubbling with life and dynamic atmo. We were very happy with our "home" and especially with our sparkling and generous host Muhammed and his people.
