Breakfast, quality of hammam although pricey, beautiful room, the calm and quiet. Jacqueline and redouane go out of their way to help, the cleaning girls are also exceptional
Bed was too hard for us so we slept on top of the duvet which was then more comfortable. But we have a very, very soft bed at home. Would return.
Great value for money and a really fantastic design of each room. Loved the calm and tranquil feel of the riad. Fantastic staff run by lovely Jacquiline.
Beautiful Riad with very helpful staff. Delicious breakfasts. Wifi connection good. Our hostess and owner Jaqueline was a delight. The rooms were great. It was quiet except for the early morning call to prayers but ..we were in the Medina and it is what you might expect. The location was good because the souks were accessible but it was not a noisy part of the Medina. Nice roof terrace where you can enjoy a glass of wine and take in the atmosphere of Marrakech
Nothing. We'd be very happy to go back again.
Welcoming, attentive owner and staff make you feel right at home. The delicious food, quality of the rooms, upstairs terrace where you may lounge in the sun or have your meals, combined with a top-notch, intimate hammam are enough to make you want to spend your time in Marrakech...inside Jnane d'O. A true oasis and place for rejuvenation and relaxation. Highly recommended!
A welcoming oasis with a lovely owner and caring staff. A lovely Riad that has been fully refurbished in the traditional style. Well situated in easy walking distance of main attractions.
There was nothing to dislike!
The excellent service, the very quiet environment, the excellent food and amenities and the proximity to the soux.
Nothing! Enjoyed my stay thoroughly.
A peaceful place to unwind in comfort. Host and staff excellent. Attention to detail is a priority and you will be well looked after.
Very kind and attentive staff, particularly Redwan (sp?), the owner's 'right hand man', who is fantastic and a truly hospitable person. The rooms are spacious, and nicely decorated. Generous and varied breakfast. Reliable airport transfer service. In all, highly recommended.
It would be helpful to have a rubbish bin in the room, not just in the bathroom. The cost of meals was not made clear upfront; guests shouldn't have to ask or wait until they receive the hotel bill. Food was delicious, if very expensive. All the smoke from the candles, pretty as they are, hurts your throat / chest after a while, especially at night.
The staff and the facilities were great! I was initially surprised at the location but actually it was great. Do take jacqueline's offer of an airport pickup!
Be clear about how much breakfast you want or there is a danger you bursting!
- great location, in walking distance to anything in the city - very beautifully newly decorated, attention to details in everything! - great staff that was very helpful and friendly - nice hamam, massage was great - very calm and serene atmosphere in the riad and just in the middle of the city! - very tasty breakfast, we had dinner in the riad, that was also delicious - no words to describe how great our stay was! We would totally recommend this riad to anybody who travels to Marrakech.
Everything! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The Riad is like a little piece of heaven! Fabulous spacious rooms with high quality individual fittings, with each room on a different theme, with petals left on our bed and on our towels every day! Delightful breakfast served personally with attention to detail. A lovely roof terrace to relax in, an indoor garden to delight the senses. Just stunning!
Friendly, accommodating staff; very helpful. The location (close to 2 good restaurants) was near main routes that made navigating the medina easy. Delicious breakfasts and lovely roof-top terrace. Colorful, distinctive and traditional décor; rooms were well-appointed. Highly recommended!
The owner was very helpful, on arrival we were given a map and instructions on where everything is. We were picked up from the airport and a taxi arranged to take us back. This made our stay so much easier. Every day we returned to a spotlessly made up room. The other staff were also fantastic, I haven't had that level of service in some expensive hotels. Breakfast was excellent and I'd recommend eating at least one evening meal there. You need to book meals in the morning. So if you're arriving and want a meal the first night I'd email ahead.
Leaving This isn't a critism but the wifI signal is very weak in the bedrooms. We were happy to spend a few mins catching up on emails over breakfast. You'll have problems if you're expecting to get out a laptop and work in the bedroom.
The staff were excellent, room large and comfortable, lovely breakfast included eggs-fruit-toast-cake-coffee/tea and freshly made juice, lovely. Evening meal can be provided if you order in the morning. We dined on Chicken Tangine, also a lovely bottle of Moroccan wine. A large wood burning fireplace crackling away in the corner and sweet music in our ears. Heaven.
After starting our Moroccan trip at this wonderful riad and then traveling for a fortnight, returning here somehow felt like coming home. We were welcomed again as friends by our delightful hostess and quickly relaxed as the stress of driving faded away. This was aided, in no small part, by the fantastic and peaceful hamam. Only to topped off by delicious unsweeted mint tea and yummy Moroccan pastries. If only our actual home had one of those... We will be back for sure!!
Having to leave this beautiful place and our gracious hostess.
After a long day of walking in the hustle and bustle of the medina and getting lost and chased in the maze of the souks, it is absolutely wonderful to return to this calm and tranquil retreat filled with beauty and serenity. The attention to detail in the guest suites, the courtyard and rooftop is unparalleled. The hostess goes out of her way to make your stay memorable and unique. The staff is attentive, courteous and helpful. We will be back!
To have to leave this beautiful riad.
Very clean, comfortable, beautiful, security and peasefull place. Staff is very kindly and help full, Redwan is perfect manager. The owner Mrs Jaquelline is very kindly and specific person who give spirit of the place. She design all around alone and make small paradise for the clients. The garden is amazing. Must be seen.
Bad WiFi, but I thing that this is maximum possibilities of this region.
Excelent place to stay in Marrakesh. Fantastic room and very, very clean. The staff of the riad, very warm, they help you in all that you need. Delicious breakfast. I definitiley recommend you this riad.
Warm welcome from lovely owner, a mini garden paradise. Attention to details that make it special. Nothing too much trouble. Like staying with friends.
I wish every place we stayed had such a helpful host, organising day tours at short notice. The room was beautifully furnished, very comfortable and couldn't be quieter. Breakfast included everything we requested and more.
Bedside lights were not working - but with iPads we didn't need them. Wifi was slow and only available outside of the room - the manager said she is investigating an upgrade.
We stayed at Riad Jnane d'Ô at the end of our trip in Morocco and it turned out one of the best part. It is located close to Bab Doukala and easy to access both Jamaa el Fnaa plaza and bus station. Once you open the entrance of the Riad, you are released from the hustle and bustle in Medina, and feel the warm and comfortable atmosphere. The Riad has well organized and prepared for the guest, and the staff are extraordinary helpful for everything. I really appreciate the owner and the staff that they made our trip.
Not a thing.
Delightful little Riad, tranquil and very attractive. It is the creation of its owner, Jacqueline, and her attention to detail and her woman's touch are evident everywhere. We stayed a week because our trek was cancelled and had to change rooms. The first was perfect the second a work in progress with no chair or bedside lights. Jaqueline quickly put this to rights. Waking up in the morning to the sound of birds and smell of fresh cedar was a good beginning to the day. Then breakfast on the cool upper terrace was magical. The staff were great, and we enjoyed seeing what animal sculptures had been made out of our white towels each day. We didn't use the plunge pool, but other guests obviously loved it. All in all a beautiful place to stay with homely touches that were much appreciated.
There a isn't really a restaurant, but dinner by arrangement. We were hungry when we arrived late and had to walk a long way to find food. We later found a very nice hidden little restaurant about 50 yards from the Riad. Tours are best arranged thro the internet, very expensive via the Riad.
Jacqueline is the owner of this gorgeous riad. She is an artist interested in energies and yoga and paid special attention to every detail of her riad. She also was extremely helpful in helping us on our journey. The riad is very calm and quiet, though you will hear the 5am muezzin call, and is a great break from the rush of Marrakech.
Situated in a quiet street within walking distance of the the central attractions. Peaceful. Beautifully renovated building with a large, cool central courtyard and lots of light. The room was perfect with exquisite touches: the wood panelling, the tiles, the brass fittings. Bird song woke us in the morning. Fresh flowers most days and rose petals strewn on the bed and in the bathroom. The owner/manager was always on hand to help, explain, guide, discuss, and the kitchen staff were super, seeing what we liked and making a special effort to please. Wonderful place
