Location Staff Food ambience Cleanliness additional touches
Lack of wardrobe space
We stayed for one night and wished we stayed for longer. Everything was fantastic, polite and very helpful staff, very close to shops and market. hot water was running well, wifi was good, food was also available. My friends and I were very pleased :)
Nothing not to like.
the staff the location: in the middle, but peaceful retreat
The staff were very friendly, hotel was very clean, good views from the roof terrace. Good breakfast. Centrally located in the madina.
If you're not looking for the full on experience of the madina then not the best place to stay. Not very easy to find.
The location The breakfast was outstanding Value for money The terrace with various beds and a small pool Relaxing atmosphere
The food was expensive To many cats for non pet lovers
Good Moroccan food in riad. Peaceful rooftop with sunbeds. Our suite Canelle was really beautiful we enjoyed our 3nights stay there.
The staff were good and the terraces lovely. Hamman was brilliant.
Wifi was sporadic and the breakfast was lovely but all sweet things. We were even offer eggs on the last morning but only after we had eaten - would have been better if this option had been made obvious from the outset.
The atmosphere was very relaxing. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly and would always ask us how our day had been and if we needed help to find landmarks on the map or if we needed suggestions of where to go. They took time to have real conversation about the life in Marokko. The location is excellent if you want to experience Marrakech as it is in walking distance to many landmarks and close to the Medina.
Staff is the most amazing, as they are so helpful with everything that you need, and they will be giving you a lot of advices during your stay and visit in Marrakech. They bring you breakfast (which is different every day) and offer you all you need. From the manager of the place (Mohamed), to the housekeeping staff. Good job to the newly hired guy, that gave us all the attention during our stay. They speak spanish as well. And for sure, great decor! Indeed a riad, that makes you feel your are from Marrakech. We totally recommend Riad Jona, and hopefully stay there again. Cheers to the staff, from Alexandra and Cristian (from Spain).
Nothing at all.
Attentiveveness of the staff. Fassil made us feel at home and always ready to assist us with anything. The mood in the Riad was very typical of a Morroccan flavor. Beautiful, nice and clean. The breakfast was awesome.
The staff and location were wonderful. I will come again.
Location of riad & the rooms were nice & clean
There were no Tea making facilities in the room. We didn't have a proper introduction on arrival as owner was away.
Located in the central Medina, it was close to everything. The Staff were great - a real bonus to a beautiful hotel is lovely staff. Although close to the heart of everything, it was also very quiet and peaceful at night, no noise from the city at all. Very clean facilities, comfortable, lots of 'hidey holes' inside where it was cool. Free wi-fi which worked well, no matter where in the hotel you were. Lots of space in the sun & shade on the roof terrace for relaxation. Traditional Riad, we would definitely visit again!!
Breakfast was lovely - although limited in size. Served glasses of fresh orange juice, which was delicious, however, a jug of juice would be nicer. No choice with breakfast, again, no complaints as we are not fussy and it was delicious, however, if you have a fussy eater, or a child along with you, it may be more of a struggle.
The staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble they were so friendly and such good fun with an amazing sence of humour ! Are holiday was the best ever! The food was gorgeous ! Excelent location . We can't wait to go back it was Ab Fab x
Staff are brilliant, attend to your every need, and help out with navigating the city. Food was amazing, definatly recommend having the 3 course meal cooked by chef Fatima. Rooftop pool is perfect to cool off and all the public areas are kept beautifully clean.
Overall experience was top class. Beautiful Riad with friendly staff. Location could not be better.
At certain times it seemed understaffed. The staff did the best they could in the circumstances, but this often meant long waits for drink and breakfast service especially when new arrivals or departures were happening.
Loved the decor and beautiful design of the riad. Great staff that were willing to teach me a bit of the local language :-)
Sometimes there was a smell of damp from the shower but this is to be expected. Not really a problem.
Super staff, excellent location, very Marrocan feel to it. Not super luxurious but very pleasant room and hotel. Very good breakfast every morning. The rooftop pool is a definite plus.
Beds could be a bit more comfortable.
Riad Jona is a hidden jem in the old medina of Marrakech. The riad is 5 minutes from the main Jeema Square where there are ample cafes and restaurants and where the big souk is located. Our room was on the first floor which i would recommend as the ground floor is busy with comings and goings of happy guests. The roof terrace where we were served breakfast is stunning and there are plenty of sunbeds for relaxing. The pool was busy but suitable for a quick cool off. The best thing about Riad Jona is the staff who are better than 5 stars. We wanted to book Camel riding and Quad biking and simply asked at the office and they made all arrangements. They also phoned an English speaking 24hr doctor when my husband became ill who came out that evening. Simply a wonderful stay. Highly Recommended, you won't find better in such a great location for such a great price.
Having to come home!
clean and comfortable rooms. good breakfast. pool looked clean although we didn't use it. wifi
location is good as close to the main square but not easy to get to by car so you need to walk each time. staff could have been a little more helpful.
We stayed here for 5 nights in April 2014. It's close to the medina, but near enough away to be quiet at all times. All the staff were helpful day and night. Kitchen staff and cleaners were kind and courteous to my sister and my 2 young nephews. Breakfast was amazing. What with me being a vegetarian it was refreshing to find no meat being served and a lovely breakfast of donuts/crepes/fruit etc. My sister and nephew ordered an egg for breakfast and this was served at no extra cost. Pool was ok for a cool down but not for proper swimming - perfect for young kids.
A bit more wardrobe space for hanging up dresses etc is needed for rooms with an interconnecting door such as ours. The room (with 2 single beds) had no hanging space -only the room with the double bed had.
The staff were an absolute joy and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was a comfortable and enjoyable one. They all excelled in every aspect of service. Delicious breakfasts. Fabulous cooking course with Ayesha, great Hammam and massage.
Looked even better than the photos and smelt amazing! Staff were helpful and so friendly to my one year old son. The house tagine dinner was exceptional, better than anywhere else we are the whole week.
Terrace near the room. Helpful personnel.
