The staff sorted out guides for us for day tours and longer trips. Their recommendations were spot on.
Beautiful hotel overall The mini-pool was a nice touch The personal service The staff were excellent from start to finish Wi-Fi was good
Air conditioning didn't work properly Pool probably wasn't big enough Limited food choices on the menu Rooms were a bit small and cramped
Room Decor The building itself Location Staff Price
The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Abdou, Breakfast was lovely and the whole atmosphere of the place was very nice and quiet, the terrace was lovely in the evening.
The only slight downside was the quality of the rooms, it wasn't a major downfall but could have a little work doing to it.
Great staff and service. Very friendly and helpful. Great location in the medina.
My wife and I travelled to Marrakech over the Easter holiday and decided to stay at Riad Jonan. We chose Riad Jonan because of its reasonable prices, location (away from Djemaa El Fna square but close enough to walk there in a matter of minutes) and the rave reviews about its staff and hospitality. The riad was conveniently located within walking distance of the Saadien Tombs, in a very safe area of the medina called Kasbah. We had never stayed in a riad before and found the rooms to be clean, cozy and nicely decorated in the Moroccan style. The staff are genuinely accommodating, attentive and have the right approach to customer service. Abdul, the night manager greeted us when we checked in and graciously served us traditional mint tea. He also drew us a map and made sure we felt comfortable navigating the medina to reach the restaurant we had chosen for dinner. During our stay, other members of the staff were just as helpful and welcoming: Hassan, the day manager who helped arrange our day trip to Essaoiura (a must-see), yet another Hassan who served us an absolutely delicious cooked breakfast each morning (included in the price) and another gentleman named Sayid. Expect overall comfort, clean rooms, great value for money, a satisfying breakfast, a nice roof terrace and excellent service from staff.
Our room (on the ground floor) had no windows and got stuffy at times (but there was air conditioning to help compensate for the lack of ventilation).
Location all the staff the food nothing was to much trouble
The friendliness, helpfulness and care of the staff was top notch! We were greeted with tea and biscuits and given info about Marrakech. The Riad was fully booked the first night we were there and we were given a room just off the breakfast room (very spacious and comfortable). Unfortunately, due to its location we could hear guests at night in the lobby talking and laughing and in the morning at breakfast. The staff asked how our night was and immediately moved us to a beautiful room for the rest of the stay. We loved the rooftop sitting area and the decor of the Riad as we didn't want the "hotel"experience, beds comfortable, would recommend booking airport transfers with the Riad, the location was great for walking through the Medina, location looked a bit scetchy but it was very safe, breakfast was wonderful. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in a Riad in the Medina!!
The location of the first room but staff promptly moved us. We weren't in love with the Moroccan supper we had at the hotel but it may have been that we were tired from our busy day.
Helpful staff. Authentic Marrakech. Good location. Good food.
The Raid is very traditional in layout, smaller rooms than might be expected, with all windows inward facing the central halls. Raid Jonan is two old houses joined together ... very comfortable and full of Moroccan furniture, art and features. The staff are very friendly and were always willing to help and offer advice.
The Wi-Fi connection is limited to the main reception area and hallway/dinning room - some access elsewhere .... needs to be extended to other areas - however it is free!
Exceptional service. I'll be back.
Omelet in the morning was a little oily but I asked them to make it less oily and it was fine. Really there is nothing to complain about.
The staff are excellent: helpful, available, friendly, discreet and approachable. Lovely spacious roof terrace. Breakfast is excellent: generous and very well presented.
The air conditioning needed to be colder. The manager did try to repair it but it still didn't work. On speaking to other guests, it appeared that other rooms had a similar problem.
