Riad Ka is beautifully decorated and creates a peaceful vibe hidden away from the busy street outside. It is kept immaculately clean and tidy by the staff. Fred couldn't do enough to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
Patrick and Fredrick are amazing and so informative and went out of their way to help in any way they could. If you need a restaraunt they are the guys to go to. Food at hotel in evening was superb and cooked at the drop of a hat on our arrival. We cannot praise this Riad in words Thank you so much
Poor internet but apparently this is normal and a provider problem in Morroco. Breakfast was nice but very pastry oriented would have been good to have some meat, cheese or egg as a variation but not an issue as I am sure if asked they would oblige
Although our room was given away to someone else, the owner drove us to a friend's riad which was very nice, picked us up the next day, and paid for it for us. The rooms are very clean, and with lovely toiletries (the cleaning staff are very good).
Our room had been given away to someone else on arrival. Scary to find at night - absolutely no sign posts, and lots of young teenage boys intimidated us into asking how to get there then demanding money. When we gave them some money they said, 'this is nothing!'. The owner didn't seem too concerned about this. Also, the owner arranged us a taxi, but we had to pay a higher fixed price which shouldn't happen (they should use the meter). Breakfast was very small.
The riad keeper was friendly and very helpful, we had great hospitality, nice decoration in the room, lovely patio, nice breakfast, comfortable beds, clean.
The air-condition was inadequate to heat the room, the hot water wasn't enough to take a comfortable shower, location is a little far from Jemaa place.
Fred, - friendly, hospitable and very French!
Location wasn't great but a taxi can pull up close enough, unlike previous two Riads we stayed in.
The tagine for dinner was exceptional. The owners did everything they could to make the trip as enjoyable as possible. The actual riad/courtyard was peaceful and a wonderful escape from the city.
The riad was hard to find - make sure you get collected from the airport when you first arrive - you'll never find it otherwise. The wifi regularly went out and there was no reception in our roof room.
Fred was tremendous, the food was delicious, the grey wine exquisite! The ourika room had a warming exotic feel with a really comply bed and a great 2 person shower! For the price you will struggle to find anywhere better!
It is a wee bit far out of the main square and it takes a few trips to get your bearings!
We loved everything about Riad Ka-the riad was beautiful, Fred was an excellent and helpful host with a great personality; the staff were beautiful and the lady who does the breakfasts was so lovely, taking extra care when one of was ill to make sure he felt better. The sun terrace was an amazing tranquil spot to chill out. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Fred was extremely helpful. I would definately recommend the Atlas Mountains trip which he organised. Comfy beds and loved our room. Perfect for my 30th birthday. It can be an adventure getting to the main square but that is the fun of it!
Each room furnished and decorated in an individual yet authentic way. Very personal experience and staff eager to help in every respect.
Nothing let me down except cushions rather than pillows on the bed, but that's more a personal gripe.
The staff were very attentive and friendly and would help at any occasion if you needed anything. They are happy to provide evening meals if you want to stay in which are delicious (particularly the cous cous which I didnt think we would like). The room was beautiful and very comfortable and couldnt ask for more.
We would definately reccomend getting a taxi back in the evening (it isnt the easiest place to find - although it is very easy to get lost in Marrakech anyway even with a map). We stayed for 4.5 days and felt we only needed 3 days really to see all the sights inside the city. We should have booked to go and see the Atlas mountains so would reccomend booking these additional trips before you arrive as many need preplanning
Friendly staff Owners were very helpful with taxi / restaurant bookings etc Clean, comfortable rooms Beach towels and beach bags Breakfast served whenever we got up Lots of corners for reading / relaxing
A fair walk to the medina, so we usually got taxis!
The Riad was just lovely....it had mostly everything we could possibly want.
Being so isolated, and no one speaking English. Would have been good to be able to have a snack, but there were no facilities such as crisps or nuts to purchase. Far away from small shops. One evening we came back to Riad and we had no food, and the only way we could get food would have been to get a taxi.
The hosts. Frederick couldn't have been more helpful despite my terrible french and him not speaking much English he went out of his way to successfully help us with onward travel arrangements. I liked the eclectic mix of traditional and non traditional art and objects- it was all very charming. The bed was very comfy. our room was nice but some of the other rooms were even better and each one is different. I liked the feeling of it being a secret place with a hidden entrance.
we stayed in the essaouira room and it was a little damp smelling but very nice apart from that. It was a little way away from the heart of the action but not an impossible distance.
The location was far off places and taxis were needed a lot
Decor, price, breakfast, staff help.
Location as far from main roads and within old residential houses of medina hence difficult to navigate for first few days
Very helpful staff, organized the car and was very helpful with the whole trip planing. Great place.
W-lan available, but internet connection was not always stable. Hard to find, when new in Marrakech, good city plan, or mobile navigation recommended.
Hotel was nice Rooms were nice
The language barrier was really tough, if you do not know French it will be difficult but not impossible to communicate. Owner was helpful with taxi's.
Loved our room (Berber Room) Good food Beautiful relaxing riad Great pool Wonderful accommodating staff
Couldn't get onto the wifi
Nice and lovely swimmingpool, the roofterrace, nicely decorated rooms, the breakfast and friedly staff, Fred (the owner) who is very helpful with all your requests.
Nothing really to dislike, only point to comment on is the location which is in the north of the Souks. It is a 15 minute walk if you don't get lost, but a taxi (0.80cents) is more convenient.
Great location walking distance to all points of interest but in a quiet area. Staff were amazing and so welcoming. The riad is beautiful and the room (Berber) was stunning. Lovely roof terrace and communal areas. Will definitely return and recommend to friends.
Frederic and his staff really made our stay special. The help and advice he gave us on our first visit to Marrakech was brilliant.
The decor was lovely and Frederick was very welcoming and friendly! Also the cats are lovely.
The first night our air-con was broken and so it was rather uncomfortable but they fixed it the next morning and it was most comfortable.
Frederick was fantastic and always available to provide help and suggestions. I only wish I had been able to chat with him more, but I unfortunately do not speak French! Even so, we were able to get by easily. The Riad was clean and well maintained. The wifi worked well, which is always a plus. Breakfast was simple breads, jams, coffee/tea and juice and eggs were available upon request. I also stayed for dinner one evening which was great - highly recommend.
I can't think of one thing I didn't like - all was great.
This was a stunningly artistic, authentically restored Riad, reminiscent of Ancient Greek, Moroccan life, enhanced by the creative capacity of Patrick, who has added a wow factor at every level, the design, decor, photographs and paintings, inner courtyard with pool, arched verandas, many places to relax, our room was enormous with 4 poster bed, all add to the welcome impressions. The hospitality, friendliness in a convivial, homely environment, where conversation was natural and informative assisted us in our first experience of Marrakesh. Patrick and Frederick were able to organise anything we wanted to do and we felt very supported staying in the middle of the Medina. This is a hidden gem and a wonderful place to really get the feeling of Morocco in a real way. The young lady who served us breakfast and dinner was such a good cook and considering we were there in Ramadan, we admired her commitment to work around this. Thankyou Patrick and Frederick
