Fantastic staff, couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful! It's like walking into a little piece of paradise !! Beautifully decorated. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed in the too 'tent' room which was gorgeous and very unique but noisy in the evening as it's right next to another property.

We thought it was a good location--easy to remember the way back and forth--staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the roof top breakfast every morning-- we also had dinner there our first night a chicken and vegetable tangine loved it ! Our room very comfortable--loved the size of the shower, plenty of light to see,and the water pressure was fantastic ! Be sure to look carefully for the two turtles that live in the serene open space of the main floor atrium !!

We had and issue with our toilet not flushing correctly after one use everyday--someone came right away everyday and thought it was fixed--but --alas it was not --there were several extra bathrooms on the main floor--but this required us getting dressed and walking down there every morning--Joel did e-mail to let me know an entire new inside mechanism was installed and it works fine now and to apologize again

This place is peerfect. The location is in the Medina yet Riad Karmela is a beautiful haven of peace and quiet. The staff are a delight and so helpful. The offer from the owners to organise transport is a must. The food is fantastic and a Hamam a must. Our room was lovely and the roof terrace quite lovely.

Our transfer from the airport didn't turn up so to make up for this they upgraded us to an apartment which was gorgeous!! Staff were fantastic and very friendly and Kamal- the driver was a great help! They don't have a pool however they let you use one across the road in another riad- on roof terrace! Very peaceful!

Nothing to dislike. Good value for money and a great experience for my first time in marrakesh!!!

The riad impressed us a lot, the service when we arrived was first class. They upgraded are room as it was our honeymoon. Huge room, beautifully decorated. Good breakfast as well. I have been in almost fifty countries now and the arrival down a little street that you could never think had such a gem in it. Stayed in many supposedly classy places on our honeymoon, but for the price this Riad Karmela was the best. Very glad we stayed

The staff were very knowledgeable about the area and gave good advice on what to do, what not to do, where to go and what to do if pestered.

At breakfast it would have been appreciated if we were asked if we wanted tea or coffee and it was brought to he table rather than us having to ask for it.

Really personal touch the staff went out of there way to help us even sent someone out on a bike to buy my partner a pair of trainers for a trip we were going on. Lovely calm relaxed atmosphere, beautiful room and surroundings overall excellent.

Very hard to fault to be honest but a swimming pool would have been lovely.

The friendly staff who were always ready to assist or answer questions; the many seating areas inside and out and the outside breakfast terrace; the centra location and being able to book taxis and tours from the riad.

The suite we stayed in was in need of a makeover and attention to detail.

Beautiful details, everywhere, in the tiles, the lanterns the carpets and the rooms and many private porches. The staff was so helpful and lovely at the start and throughout, giving us so much information and tips on how to get around the busy Medina.

The Medina can be messy---confusing in the great hustle and bustle, but also quite stimulating to all the senses! The area is not for the timid or fussy. The area is rich with life right at the door.We loved it all, even the challenge of finding our way around.

Central location, friendly staff, sunny roof top terrace

Additional 5% charged by the Riad for paying by card. Combined with overseas payment fees from the bank, meant the booking.com price was not as cheap as it first looked. Other sites that offered advance payment would have been a better deal.

Friendly staff and a very relaxed atmosphere

Had a problem with the sinks in our room - just a dribble, not enough hot water to have a wash.

Riad Kamela is in the heart of Marrakech. Like any true Riad, you are surrounded by the dusty streets and local people. But as you open the door off the pink walls, you are greeted by a wonderful warm welcome from Joel and his team. Riad Kamela has everything you could wish for when saying in Marrakech; someone to give you the dos and don'ts, someone to give you a map, someone to bring you mint tea and most of all somewhere that actually takes you to an authentic Moroccan world. The rooms and foyers are decorated with an authentic Morrocan feel and the bedrooms were far above my expectation. Here you are a stones throw away from the main square and Joel shows you the very easy route to and from Jemaa-el-fna. We managed to not got lost around the souks and home again- a notable achievement. All the Moroccan people were very welcoming and if you can quickly get used to a very different cultural experience than the streets of London and immerse yourself in the experience (always watching out for bikes) you will love it. Kamela itself is a superb treasure of a Riad which I highly recommend to anyone visiting Marrakech. Our stay here definitely enhanced our time in Marrakech.

We had an amazing stay at Riad Karmela. It truly is an oasis in the centre of the madness of the souk. This is one of the best places that we have all stayed (and we are reasonably well travelled). Joel, the owner, is an exceptional host. From greeting us on arrival to his endless paticience talking us through the map of the Medina!

We loved everything! This being our first time to Marrakech it was a bit daunting putting our cases in a cart and being led down the winding cobblestone paths of the Medina but you soon realise this is all part of the charm of the place.
