Our son got food poisoning 7 hours after having our first dinner at the riad in the night we arrived. We would still have stayed if it wasn't for the several health and safety issues we found in our room. I requested a check out the morning after offering to pay for the one night we stayed. The manager refused to cancel our original booking and started shouting that if we wanted to cancel the booking we had to pay the 5 nights we booked. I expressed that I understood his position but given that we had a sick boy and that the riad wasn't in the best conditions it would be a mistake for serious the health and safety issues. Who on earth would be happy to stay 4 more nights in a bed with bugs (my wife and I got bitten, we took pictures of the blood marks they always leave in the bed) the bathroom was not safe to use either as it had mould and stains everywhere. Have I mentioned that my son was sick with severe vomit and diarrhea every 20 minutes for a whole night starting hours after dinner at the riad? After arguing with the manager for about half an hour and being on the phone with booking.com trying to reach a reasonable agreement, the riad's manager told us to get out immediately. I'm the end we didn't pay the money I offered him but this extremely unpleasant situation put our holiday plans in serious jeopardy.
Good Wi-Fi. Nothing else was good
Very helpful with planning our trips while staying. Always a cold beer waiting for us on our return after a hectic day sightseeing and getting lost most of the time.
The only thing that could be improved is the WIFI. It worked fine but it only seemed to work in one half of the room. Wasn't too much of a hindrance though.
The staff were definitely the highlight, they were very attentive and friendly. We felt really looked after during our stay. The Riad itself felt like our second home, it was beautiful and clean.Overall experience was brilliant and we would highly recommend this Riad for your holiday.
Friendly & helpful great location Riad exactly as per photos & description.
Having to leave:(
Hospitality & service second to none..........exemplary!
Great peaceful location close to the sights. Friendly hosts, helpful staff, good food, comfortable room.
The location is good, a little further north than the main action.
This Riad is wonderfully authentic. We had a warm welcome and a very prompt email asking if we needed an airport transfer for a fee after booking.
This riad was really excellent. Great location only a short walk from the main square, really friendly and helpful staff, and our room was beautiful!
We had a wonderfull stay at riad Khadija! A warm welcome and great hosting. Would highly recommend it!
Slightly apprehensive on first arrival, found it overwhelming. Once you get your bearings you shall relax more.
Friendly, helpful and cheerful staff. In the heart of the Medina. Hotel offered an authentic Moroccan feel.
We spent 2 wonderful days at riad khadija, pretty much everything was perfect. Gorgeous riad in a convenient position, very nice staff, room with every comfort. We were stunned by the plentiful and tasty breakfast in the sunny terrace.
Nothing in particular. Perhaps the room is poorly isolated from noises, but it's given the type of building ("ancient" door and windows built in local style).
Staff very helpful with luggage and lot of information provided. The Shuttle service is more expensive than standard taxi rate (170 Dhr instead of 70 Dhr) but is highly recommended as the hotel is very difficult to find within the Medina labyrinth. Location at the heart of the city, close to main attractions.
Beautiful and charming Riad right in the heart of the Medina with 5 rooms which gives a cosy atmosphere. Very nice and friendly staff. We also got a really nice dinner on our first evening (you need to book in advance). The place is familiy run by a french couple and thez help you with anything you might come up with. Remember that its situated right in the middle of the Medina and there is no means to get a transport right to the door. However, talk to the guys from the Riad to organize transfer/transport. Breakfast is served on the roof-terrace (very charming).
Ambience Nearness to Jemma Cleanliness Staff Friendliness Owners Friendliness Room
All is impeccable at this Riad. The owners and the staff were extremely kind and they always tried to accommodate our request. The place is immaculate clean and furbished with very good taste and details. It is really worth it!
Wifi is a little erratic due to the vagaries of the Moroccan Telecoms provider so obviously outside the hotel owners' control.
Very well-run, intimate and charming riad with authentic feel in excellent location in centre of Medina - a sanctuary amidst the bustling mania of the souks. Run by French couple who are very friendly, helpful and informative without being intrusive. Breakfast, on very attractive rooftop terrace, available as required without fuss - mine varied from 7.30am to 12.30pm. Most unusual.
THE Riad has the atmosphere of à thousand and one night. Very romantic. The staf is very friendly and helpfull. Thank for a great stay
Simply put, there's no reason one should not stay in this lovely riad. Soon after the booking was made, we received a detailed mail from the riad owners with tons of suggestions and advice. Once we landed in Marrakech, we were picked up by cab they had arranged and taken to the place. Ihssan is a perfect gentleman who welcomed us with lovely cookies and mint tea. Right from the start he was quite particular about taking care of all our needs. Yves, who owns this riad was amazing as well. He gave us a detailed overview of Marrakech, the things to do and the things to avoid. The rooms are all quite lovely. We stayed in the Cinnamon Room, which was definitely perfect. We even had breakfast past midday one day, a facility you won't find in any hotel. With its perfect location (minutes from the main square) and affordable price, Riad Khadija is definitely the place to stay at when in Marrakech.
We especially liked just how welcoming and helpful the owners and staff were. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and we were presented with a bottle of bubbly on ice. What a lovely gesture! The riad was beautiful, decorated with taste and spotlessly clean.
Nothing of significance.
Location was superb 2 mins to souks. Very helpful staff. An oasis amoungst the mayhem of the souks! Very nice Riad with a lovely roof terrace in which to relax.
Noise from other guests having breakfast in the courtyard in the early morning.
Almost everything. Quality of service from owners and staff exceptional. Met from taxi and escorted to initially difficult to find location by Yves. Superbly relaxing roof terrace. Excellent breakfasts. Many thanks to Nathalie and Yves.
Absolutely love Riad Khadija, felt like a princess. Also enjoyed my first hammam and Moroccan massage experience
I would have liked a shower rather than a tub. Other than that nit, no complaints whatsoever.
The riad Khadija is small is that it has 5 rooms, but there is plenty of space. It's size means that you get lots of personal attention if you need or want it, but the staff is capable and if you do not want the attention, they know that as meet whatever needs you have.
Nice small riad close to the sug. Very friendly and helpfull staff.
Very little. If I'm picky the bed was a bit firm (for me) and the shower not very powerful (although the water was always hot).
The location is very convenient for the centre of the Medina and the Souks. It is very quiet at night. The tented roof terrace is fantastic and a great place to have breakfast (which was lovely as well. The best thing, though, were the owners and staff who were all very friendly, helpful and really went the extra mile to make the holiday great. Thanks
