The staff were very friendly and accommodating, breakfast was very good, we paid for the hotel dinner one night and it was amazing service and delicious food.
It could be a little bit tricky to find, and although it is a short walk from the main tourist attractions it would be very draining in summer.
The riad was beautiful, relaxing and friendly. You felt very secure inside and all the staff were lovely and helpful. It was very hard to find so definitely arrange a transfer to find it!
The meal was a little overpriced.
Friendly and helpfull staff, nice meals, nice place in the heart of the medina.
Personally I'm not that much of a fan of Marrakech. It sure has it's nice, and even great sides, but I had a hard time trying to look further than the chaos, the rubbish on the streets and the almost constant clamping of people trying to make you by stuff.
The Riad was tranquil, atmospheric and beautifully lit at night. The staff were all extremely helpful.
Perfect location, so nice and helpful staff, manager Lalie she organised for me airport transfer for both way, local breakfast was delicious. Room was warm and bed very comfortable.
Hotel ist very charming
barely any heating for the colder month. Shower in the morning was freezing (no heating at all) and the water temperature changes from hot-cold randomly. Breakfast is outside ( cold) and internet is outside ( cold) our room had no wifi at all and heated only a little bit ( I usually wore 2-3 sweaters)
I only spent 1 night at the Riad khol, but it was a very good experience. The staff is very nice and does not hesitate to go the extra mile. I arrived very late that night, and the receptionist came to pick me up where the taxi dropped me off and picked up my suitcase as it was too heavy. He then showed me around and asked me if I needed anything else. In the morning the breakfast was ready at the time that was requested, and a cab was ordered for me.
The room was very Dark. maybe they should add some lamps.
Beautiful and immaculately maintained. Very attractive roof terrace. Open fire (visited in Dec). I stayed in the Very dark but sensual Room Cuir Mauresque on the ground floor. It had a black polished floor and black lower walls. Not a lot of space for suitcases, etc.It had a 2 person shower, with large rainwater shower heads but with one on, the water pressure was not suited to the shower head size, meaning it was more of a stream than a rain shower. All the staff I encountered were excellent. Mme Lali was very friendly and helpful Food in eve was v pleasant. Chicken tagine. Pear desert.
It was very, very dark in the room - too dark to read a book - all the lights were unsuitably placed, has red filters, and were not bright enough because of the dark surfaces. In the bathroom the tiny mirror was useless because it was so dark - one couldn't use it for shaving or makeup. The shampoo and shower gel were in glass bottles in the Moroccan style, not my preference with all the hard surfaces and wet slippery soapy hands, but looked beautiful. I had a ground floor room - it was very noisy. Immediately outside the door there was a larger 6 candle candlestick burning centimetres away from a bamboo plant - I moved it to a safer distance. Three were no visible smoke alarms. A tragedy waiting to happen. Room was on one side of the courtyard and the shutters didn't shut properly in bathroom so had to prop shut.
The Staff were very attentive and friendly. A short 15 minute walk to the square and very close to the souks.
A bit of a culture shock arriving in the dark but We adjusted quickly.
originel, nice ambient with friendly staff (Lalie was very helpful)
room too dark,
Staff were very helpful and thoughtful. Taxi shuttle cars were prompt and efficient. Nice breakfast included. Shower gels etc. were available.
Wifi didn't work in 'Jasmine' room.
I loved the place. Very cosy and beautiful
A bit cold in the rooms but ok, it is December
Good location, just a stroll from the main square. Hotel comfortable with a great breakfast to start your day. Room small, but comfortable enough. Oh yes...Free tea all day! Good value for the price!
The rooms are around a central patio so you hear quite. But i suppose thats because its a Riad.
Great character.. Received warm welcome. oasis of calm in the heart of the Medina. Fab roof terrace & lovely staff.
An oasis of peace and quiet, beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail! Staff is super friendly and helpful and make sure you feel at home. The ideal place to relax after a stroll through the buzzing streets of the Medina.
Nice people. Heart of Medina. Nice breakfast.
Hard bed. Noisy rooms all facing courtyard. A bit basic.
Location and facilities
Power went out, no light and rooms Are very dark (hence the name riAd khol)
Staff especially Marhoanne were very friendly and helpful and always had suggestions of things to do in Marrakesh
A bit dark
Fantastic stay, its like staying with friends or family. Very personable and comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Highly recommended.
The Riad was an Oasis of calm after the hot, hectic streets of the Medina. The staff were great, always accomdating frequent requests for sweet mint tea on the gorgeous roof terrace. Would recommend the Epice suite which seems to be the lightest and largest of the rooms and with a private roof terrace. Great stay, we loved it here !
Location although in the Medina, was a little off the beaten track with an approximate 20 minute walk to the main square with some hectic roads to negotiate on the way
We stayed in santal blank. There are no windows except an internal window which is directly next to the bright stairs lighting. Spent the first night turning the light off and being woken up again when it was turned back on. No curtains to block out the light. The bathroom was full of leaks, the shower ran hot and cold at very low pressure and the brass shower head made it impossible to hold for a hot shower. Agreed to pay by cash, got cash out, and they had charged my card without permission. losing me plenty money on exchange rates, international charges and commission. The pool was a puddle, and in the middle of the reception area, so not private. There was no hammam as advertised. The distance to the main sites is much further than mentioned in the description. The riad was hard to find and they offered no directions getting there. The area seems to be full of local kids causing trouble and hassling people. The girl who checked us in disappeared the next day and we didn't see her again. The 1 other member of staff didn't seem to care about any of our requests or complaints. The wifi only works in reception, not in the rooms. I wouldnt recommend staying here, there are plenty of other attractive riads in the medina at the same price, in a better location. be careful not to book a room in reception area unless you dont mind noise.
Elegant rooms, lovely rooftop and delicious breakfast.
Avoid rooms on the ground floor as they are next to communal areas. They are very noisy when other guests return in the night and during breakfast equally if you're trying to have a lie in.
Friendly and competent staff, Nice ambience and clean environment. Clean room every day. Nice breakfast. Close to the centre of Medina.
Can get noisy at times, especially at the rooms close to the reception. Old doors and windows, no soundproof at all. Poor wifi connectivity. Swimming pool is a pond for decoration, not for swimming. Shower gets cold when another room flushes the toilet..
