Riad Dar Zahia is ideally located in the heart of the medina, close to the famous Jamaâ El Fna Square, at the gate of the souks where you will spend hours shopping and wandering around.

In the center of Marrakech's Medina, this guesthouse is a 2 minute walk from the Jamaâ El Fna Square. It has an outdoor pool with deckchairs and a furnished terrace overlooking the Medina.

Really enjoyed our stay here. A relaxing retreat in the middle of the medina. The courtyard with the feature pool is a lovely place to relax and the staff are extremely helpful with excellent recommendations for places to eat and hammam/spa. The breakfast was also lovely!
Our room was very dark (not ideal for reading or for relaxing). We tended to use the courtyard or roof terrace instead. Complimentary toiletries were limited to shampoo only. I'm sure more would have been provided if we had asked.
Wifi only works in reception and it's a long trek from the roof sun loungers down 2 flights of stairs to the pool
The riad has a special athmosphere, you enter and you are in a calm, cool place to relax. It has an excellent location, 10 minutes walk fom the main square. It has a small pool to cool yourself down during a hot day and has also a beautifully decorated roof terrace. The stuff is really nice and helpful.
Our room was on the ground floor. Though there was nothing to deslike during our two nights long stay, for a longer stay I would prefer a room on the first floor.
Fab location and very helpful staff, giving us directions to everywhere and tip on what to do and to avoid. So helpful.
Beds are a bit hard
The staff in particular we're so friendly and helpful
We had dinner there on our first night and we thought it was very expensive for what it was
Beautiful decor, relaxing atmosphere and good value for money. If I ever go back to Marrakesh, I would definitely stay here again.
Nice riad,a little hard to find, not far from market. Everything was good, staff was helpful.
Super helpful staff. Beautiful building. Easy walk to main sites / markets etc. Great breakfast.
4.30am wake up call from local mosque :-(
Beautiful authentic interiors and exteriors. Lovely breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.
Bed too firm. No soap tray in shower or mirror in bathroom. Drain in sink and shower stopped up with very slow drainage. Spare room needed mirror and table lamp.
Very traditional Moroccan experience, excellent and attentive staff.
The beautiful Riad is gorgeously decorated and our suite was out of a dream. The staff were incredibly caring and attentive to our needs.
The bed was extremely hard.
The atmosphere, sweet people, lovely decoration.
No wifi in thr room. Only at the man court
Decor is beautiful. The meal on arrival was really tasty. The cleaning staff were so pleasant and the pace is so clean. The rooftop terrace is nice for sunbathing.
Location is not good, hard to find and trying to find it doesn't feel safe at night. Also our host was pleasant when we arrived but he was quite rude to us at breakfast one morning. I think he might have been exhausted from working 4 days in a row, days and nights but it was still unpleasant. The rooms are far too dark. No alcohol available, whereas you could get a glass of wine in all other hotels we visited in Marrakech.
The Hotel is very very nice. The staff were Top class! Very friendly! We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect place. Loved it!
Airport transfers cost 70 Dhr but the concierge charged us 200. I guess in marrakesh they always triple the prices to tourists. #Fact Please Wifi in all the rooms/hotel not just by the ground floor!
Lali and Azziz were wonderful beyond compare. They couldn't do enough for us. The food was fab, attention perfect, decoration lovely. Courteous, friendly and super helpful - Lali came to rescue me when I got lost in the souk.
Our room was painted black so we were stumbling around even in daytime and had to open the doors onto the reception area to pack. We had to remove lampshades to see, even in the daytime. I couldn't put makeup on in the bathroom. The bathroom was not well maintained probably because it was so dark and parts of the shower recess were crumbling away. Other guests smoked and chatted outside our room till midnight. As non smokers this was not acceptable as the smell came into our room. Other rooms are fabulous, but don't choose a room in the reception area as you'll have no privacy whatsoever, day or night. We had to close the shutters or other guests could see right in - which made the room like a black cave. Smoking should definitely be prohibited in the Riad apart from the rooftop.
The warm and friendly welcome and staff were fantastic. The location was perfect within an easy walking distance to the centre. We had dinner on the roof terrace - delicious! The rooms we stayed in were beautifully decorated and spacious. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Marrakech!
- 15 min from the City center - A typical Riad - Decoration
Riad Khol is beautiful, calm, restful, elegant and a haven from the noise of the souk. Stunning decoration. Staff are super helpful, friendly, and obliging. The manager speaks excellent English, and nothing was too much trouble. Fabulous rooftop terrace where we had a romantic candlelit dinner of various tangines. The courtyard pool is beautiful. No trouble getting our luggage into the Riad as we were fetched by a porter where we were dropped off. Fabulous place. Highly recommended. We are returning there in two weeks.
The busy, chaotic road between the Riad and the souk, but that's not the Riad's fault. Marrakech should ban motorcycles in the souk as the pollution is dreadful.
The furniture and the atmosphere were amazing as well as the staff, very kind and friendly. The roof terrace offers extraordinary view and we enjoyed the Marrakech moonlight. The manager Lalie is very professional and helpful when you need recommendations about Marrakech. The breakfast served in a lovely courtyard with orange flowers smell was delicious, generous and very well presented, with typical plates we really loved and bought later in the streets in the surroundings. The riad is 15 minutes walk to the main place, but the way is a very interesting trip through Marrakech and it really worth! We recommend to accept the driver they'll offer you to get to the riad the first time. This riad is really recommended.
Bottles of water in the room only the first day of our stay and apparently impossible to have more water in the riad (of course we were willing to pay for that). We would appreciate to have new mineral water daily in the room seeing the very nice structure.
Friendly, accommodating staff, very helpful and informative.
Lack of directions to this somewhat remote Riad, ie: through a series of narrow windy alleys, not accessible by car.
The place is awesome! The staff is very kind and ready to help you, they booked us the hammam and suggest us what to visit and how to get there. The room was beautifully decorated and always clean. Breakfast is really good and always a bit different.
The Riad Khol is a really beautiful, clean, welcoming place and perfect to relax after a day of the city´s buzz. Lalli and Omar are a perfect team - Lalli being a very professional receptionist taking care of the guest wishes like a *****-Concierge. Omar welcomes you heartly in the morning with the breakfast on the terrace and would welcome you as heartly at 12pm, when you come home from a dinner out. We felt very welcome!
Smoking in the reception area could be moved to some other place as you can smell it in the rooms, especially on the ground floor rooms. It also should be made clear to guests that hanging out there after 10pm might affect others guests sleep - some people just dont care.
Staff very welcoming and very polite at all times. Breakfast on the roof terrace was lovely, nice to have different pastries and cakes each day. Décor very authentic.
Omar is a fantastic man - he will help you out in any way he can to make your stay memorable. All the staff are great and very hospitable. Rooms are beautiful - the Riad is so calm and cosy - the perfect accompaniment to the busy Medina. Food in the Riad is delicious. Great location. Omar and Lalie have some great suggestions for restaurants and spas - take their recommendations!!!
Very clean, and very friendly staff. Omar and Lalie should have a special mention. Great location: being so close to the souq was a bonus, and some good, cheap restaurants nearby. Be warned - if you come in at night, the route to the riad is through a little alley off the main street. You wonder where you're coming to, but in the daylight, it all becomes clear! That's the old city for you! Rather exciting!! We loved it.
Our room was rather narrow so the king-size bed was up against the wall on one side making it a bit awkward to get out. Otherwise everything was fine.
