Good location, just a stroll from the main square. Hotel comfortable with a great breakfast to start your day. Room small, but comfortable enough. Oh yes...Free tea all day! Good value for the price!
The rooms are around a central patio so you hear quite. But i suppose thats because its a Riad.
Great character.. Received warm welcome. oasis of calm in the heart of the Medina. Fab roof terrace & lovely staff.
An oasis of peace and quiet, beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail! Staff is super friendly and helpful and make sure you feel at home. The ideal place to relax after a stroll through the buzzing streets of the Medina.
Nice people. Heart of Medina. Nice breakfast.
Hard bed. Noisy rooms all facing courtyard. A bit basic.
Location and facilities
Power went out, no light and rooms Are very dark (hence the name riAd khol)
Staff especially Marhoanne were very friendly and helpful and always had suggestions of things to do in Marrakesh
A bit dark
Fantastic stay, its like staying with friends or family. Very personable and comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Highly recommended.
The Riad was an Oasis of calm after the hot, hectic streets of the Medina. The staff were great, always accomdating frequent requests for sweet mint tea on the gorgeous roof terrace. Would recommend the Epice suite which seems to be the lightest and largest of the rooms and with a private roof terrace. Great stay, we loved it here !
Location although in the Medina, was a little off the beaten track with an approximate 20 minute walk to the main square with some hectic roads to negotiate on the way
We stayed in santal blank. There are no windows except an internal window which is directly next to the bright stairs lighting. Spent the first night turning the light off and being woken up again when it was turned back on. No curtains to block out the light. The bathroom was full of leaks, the shower ran hot and cold at very low pressure and the brass shower head made it impossible to hold for a hot shower. Agreed to pay by cash, got cash out, and they had charged my card without permission. losing me plenty money on exchange rates, international charges and commission. The pool was a puddle, and in the middle of the reception area, so not private. There was no hammam as advertised. The distance to the main sites is much further than mentioned in the description. The riad was hard to find and they offered no directions getting there. The area seems to be full of local kids causing trouble and hassling people. The girl who checked us in disappeared the next day and we didn't see her again. The 1 other member of staff didn't seem to care about any of our requests or complaints. The wifi only works in reception, not in the rooms. I wouldnt recommend staying here, there are plenty of other attractive riads in the medina at the same price, in a better location. be careful not to book a room in reception area unless you dont mind noise.
Elegant rooms, lovely rooftop and delicious breakfast.
Avoid rooms on the ground floor as they are next to communal areas. They are very noisy when other guests return in the night and during breakfast equally if you're trying to have a lie in.
Friendly and competent staff, Nice ambience and clean environment. Clean room every day. Nice breakfast. Close to the centre of Medina.
Can get noisy at times, especially at the rooms close to the reception. Old doors and windows, no soundproof at all. Poor wifi connectivity. Swimming pool is a pond for decoration, not for swimming. Shower gets cold when another room flushes the toilet..
This beautiful riad is tucked away which made it very peaceful inside. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent time and were full of hints and tips to help us out. For example on our first night we arrived late and many restaurants were shut but the lovely lady on reception rang around to find a restaurant that was still open and then arranged for a taxi to come and collect us!! :D The breakfast was amazing and in a beautiful setting. We would HIGHLY recommend to others!
The Internet was not available in the rooms but this is completely understandable for the layout of the riad!
Riad Khol is a great place to stay during a trip to loud and hectic Marrakesh. Quiet and idyllic Riad is beautifully decorated in a typical Moroccan style, just a perfect oasis after a day spent in the crowded Medina. Our room (Datura Noir) was small and dark but clean and comfortable, the terrace offered amazing views over the city and the breakfasts on the patio were really big and delicious. In the evening you could relax by the pool surrounded by many candles and lanterns, listening to the chillout music and drinking mint tea. Despite the check-out time at 12 a.m. we were allowed to leave our luggage for the whole day and stay on the patio until the late evening. Helpful and comepent stuff. Wi-fi available in rooms.
Beware of a guy at the taxi station near the Riad, he will offer help for free saying "no problem my friend", he will grab your luggage and take you to your Riad, but at the end it will be a problem because he will demand a huge amount of money for a 5 min walk, will become agressive, and unfortunately the Riad stuff won't be helpful. Check the exact location of the Riad in advance or ask the stuff to send someone for you, since Riad Khol is very difficult to find.
Great personal attentive staff, good quiet location, within easy reach of everything!
I loved the decor. It's very authentically designed. It's a beautiful Riad.
There should be wifi in other areas if the Riad. My room was right next to the mosque so I was woken up every morning even wearing earplugs).
Location , hygiene and personal were friendly
Personal tried a litlle bit to much to sell a 300 dihmar meal.
This ryad was simply the best, a real Moroccan gem.
The hasslers - nothing to do with the hotel, just be careful.
I would recommend this Raid the staff were all so friendly and very clean. It was so relaxing as they have a little pool inside felt like we was also at a spa. The location not great but I find the best places are hidden and I would highly recommend it.
Thanks to Marouane, the man of the house, we felt like staying at a friends place. He made our stay very personal and charming. Thank you very much, Marouane!
By coincidence we found out that administration did cancel the day-off of Marouane, the man of the house. Treat your excelent stuff well, they deserve it!
The structure is very nice, lots of interesting and cosy details. Everything was clean and neat. The staff was always smiling and ready to help, Breakfast was amazing, served in a cute inner courtyard. Not too far from the main square. I'd definitely recommand it.
We stayed for 3 nights and absolutely fell in love with the place. Marouane (man of the house) was brilliant and very attentive offering tea or water whenever we were sat in the courtyard area, he told us places to go and things to do and see. He also organised taxis for us to save hassle. Swimming pool was amazing, as was the terrace, it was a maze of nooks and crannies on different levels looking over Marrakech. Bedroom was stunning, and shower was incredible! Clean, with impeccable attention to detail. Would definitely go back and would (and have already) recommend for people to stay there. Totally amazing! Loved every minute and cannot wait to go back.
The guy that was incharge al day and night was really efficient and made us a te even when it was too late. Als the lady in charge of cleaning was very kind and cleaned our clothes free .
Wifi was not available in the room and the sink didnt work.
Really enjoyed our stay here. A relaxing retreat in the middle of the medina. The courtyard with the feature pool is a lovely place to relax and the staff are extremely helpful with excellent recommendations for places to eat and hammam/spa. The breakfast was also lovely!
Our room was very dark (not ideal for reading or for relaxing). We tended to use the courtyard or roof terrace instead. Complimentary toiletries were limited to shampoo only. I'm sure more would have been provided if we had asked.
We liked the building.
The service is very willing but not very able. The Breakfast is not very good and on the second morning when we had to leave the breakfast consisted of dry toast, one cup of coffee, 2 small pots of yogurt, jam and marmerlad with some cold dry toasted bread..Really rubbish and quite honistly an insult...
