Great location (quiet but near points of interest); beautiful roof-top terrace; nice food (both breakfast and dinner); great directions from the Anglophone/Francophone owners. Very highly recommend. And pretty easy to find!

Loved our short break here. Simon & Mouna were really friendly & extremely helpful. Meals at the riad were a highlight for us, so tasty & served by the ever smiling Amina.

Loved Mounir and her girls and their great welcome. Comfortable Riad with bags of character, impressive reception/dining room with stacks of original tiling, embroidered linens, and silver wear. Pretty bedroom (6) with very comfortable beds and a fascinating collection of artwork and object d'art. Tiny en suite with all you need. Use of gorgeous roof terrace with masses of seating and sun beds all overlooking the town's park. Breakfast was beautifully served with fresh bread, crepes, savouries, fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice. Mounir is an excellent cook - we ate two meals at the Riad and they both were deliciously seasoned Moroccan dishes which were much more flavoursome than the local dishes cooked in many restaurants. She is a great cook. You will not be disappointed with a stay at Riad Laboul.

Simon and Mouna were extremely helpful and friendly hosts, and spoke both English and French. The evening meals were exceptional and it felt like staying in someone's beautifully decorated home.

The restaurant/hall is rather cold and has a strange smell (of cleaner/disinfectant?). Plastic tablecloths (!) give an authentic moroccan feel. This was the only guesthouse in Morocco where we were served cold, stale Msmen (crispy flat bread) for breakfast - usually it is warm and freshly made. No hot water two out of three days. A bit on the pricey side for all that.
Mouna and Simon and their staff are welcoming and helpful. Dinner was excellent. Absolutely adored the three (!) terraces, where you can have breakfast and generally hang out - nice view over the medina and the adjoining park. Easy to find, good location with parking nearby. Rooms are lovingly decorated, if somewhat small (very little place for luggage). Some rooms have an anteroom, which is nice.

Lack of adequate lighting in the rooms. If you like to read in bed, you'd better bring your own lighting!
The best dinner we had in Morocco, and Simon was wonderful.

The communal space of the riad, with all the elaborate tiles and stucco work, was restored perfectly, and the owners (a British man and his Moroccan wife) were informative and attentive. Our room was also well-done, quiet and comfortable. We had dinner in the riad one night and I highly recommend doing so.

Slightly chilly in main room - needs to have heaters on when occupied by diners.
Good location. Full of character. Nice roof garden. Good food. Staff all very helpful and welcoming. We were treated to authentic Moroccan music from the owners on one evening.

Didn't stay long enough.
Simon and Mouna and team were very friendly. Mouna's food was v v good. Their recommended driver is also very friendly and has great new car. :) Free tea :)

I've never experienced a more enthusiastic staff. The rooftop terrace faces out towards the park, and at dusk wine and snacks are available as are the steady stork and egret flyovers. You will not find a better dinner elsewhere in Meknes.

Amazing stay, everything was perfect! I strongly recommend to have dinner in the Riad, food was delicious. P.S. Heating and hot water available all the time, this really matters in winter season :)
