The wifi was malfunctioning, it didn't work the whole time. I
thought maybe a discount or some complimentary services would be in
order, but no luck. I never would have booked the hotel without wifi, so
the lack of it was disappointing. Wifi was very important for our trip
as I needed to communicate with people on the next legs of our trip.
In room snacks are expensive. I actually thought the soda in the refrigerator were complimentary, (as the previous two raids we stayed in were, I thought it how Moroccan riads worked!) each regular can of soda was 4 euros!! That was unexpected.
Food was expensive. It was our most expensive meal of our entire trip, and not the best. It was good food, but not worth the cost. The biggest problem with this riad is where it's located. The physical location is great, but I did not like Fez, and this was echoed by many other travelers we met along the way.
The riad was beautiful, with an awesome terrace and a beautiful room (we
stayed in the mezzanine room). The staff was accommodating and
incredibly friendly and helpful, and set us up with a guide with very
short notice. The riad is a comfortable hiding spot in a city that I
really didn't enjoy too much!
