Khalid and his staff were superb. Helpful, friendly and always willing to please but not in a forceful manner. Breakfast was very generous and delicious. Great views from the upper terrace.
Great location 5 mins from the square and really helpful staff that went out of their way to accommodate us.
I stayed in Riad Coq Fou during a long weekend with 3 other friends. From start to finish we were taken care of and treated with the utmost hospitality and kindness: an airport shuttle was arranged for us, both when we arrived and when we left; the staff and owner met us at the hotel and offered us tea and a warm welcome even though we arrived extremely late at night; we were given maps and lots of helpful information about Marrakesh, and they also called several hammams for us to check prices and availability; the breakfast each morning was very extensive and delicious, and they were very kind to work around my friend's gluten allergy. The rooms and the entire Riad were clean and beautifully-decorated, with heating/AC units and hot water. The rooftop terrace is lovely and has great views of the Atlas mountains. The location is excellent - within walking distance of everything there is to see in the Medina - but complete peace reigns within, offering a much-needed break from the craziness of the city. We had such a nice time and got on so well with the staff that we exchanged emails to keep in touch and were left with a very strong desire to come back!
We really didn't have any complaints!
Very friendly people, nice terrace, best breakfast ! Rooms are small and noisy like in most Riads.Take ear plugs.
Difficult to find, streets of Marrakech are so dirty, still an amazing place.
The Riad has a really good atmosphere, with details in the interiors and lovely terraces. The old doors and windows give an Italian character to the patios. All the staff was extremely polite and kind, helpful and always willing to help.
The wifi connection was only in the common area.
Compared to other Riads it isnt kept really well.
Convenient location - close to everything and easy to pick up a taxi. Interior design and style Staff were very helpful Beautiful roof terrace Wish we could have stayed longer just to enjoy the facilities and roof terrace more! Very highly recommended!
The location was just 10 min from main square Jemaa El Fna. The Riad was very cozy and clean. Amazing place to relax after busy time in Marakesh. And of cource great terrace upstairs :)
Everything was excellent.
Shower was very poor
Fantastic roof terrace -really tranquil oasis in Marrakesh. Great location- 10 minute walk to the square Excellent service and breakfast! We would highly recommend this riad - and will definitely be back
Before we arrived we arranged for airport pick-up, which is highly recommended, and although our flight was over an hour late the driver still waited for us. When we arrived Youssef was waiting to pick us up and show us to the charming Riad. We were welcomed with a refreshing tea and given a very easy to follow hand-written map that showed us various recommended places to eat. The entire time we were there the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the person who we had the most contact with was Youssef. We really didn't have concrete plans for the trip and after we gave him a few ideas of what we wanted to do he arranged everything for us at a better price than we could find ourselves. His recommendations allowed us to make the most of our time in Marrakech. The breakfasts were incredible and homemade, everything was very clean and cozy. We had a room on the terrace and enjoyed beautiful quiet mornings with lovely views of the city. Regardless of the quantity of guests that they meet on a weekly basis we were attended to and explained the city as if we were the first and only guests they had. The entire staff was lovely and Youssef really went the extra mile to make sure our stay was great. I would most definitely recommend Le Coq Fou to anyone and look forward to returning soon.
That we couldn't have stayed longer.
We stayed at Riad Le Coq Fou for three nights and we highly recommend it. We received a warm welcome and a nice breakfast including mint tea on arrival (it was early in the morning). The staff is very helpful. It is a very beautiful and peaceful place, carefully restored, and clean. The location is very good.
We (two young females) spent the first and last days of our morocco trip in Le Coq Fou. There couldn´t have been a better welcome and a sadder goodbye. The Riad is very cosy and welcoming, situated in the heart of the medina, it is the perfect location for discovering the city. At the same time the panoramic rooftop terasse gave us the opportunity to relax from the buzzing rhythm of Marrakech and starting our days with a delicious breakfast under the blue sky. But what made our stay so special, were the friendly and helpful people who are the soul of Le Coq Fou. The team around Youssef, Lyla and Bachir are perfect hosts and care about the clients in a professional but very personal way. We loved it!
A very comfortable and friendly place to stay in a quiet part of the Medina. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was great.
It is a little hard to find, but don't worry they will help you with directions.
