Riad Le Patio De Fes  

Nettes kleines Riad in der Medina von Fes. Beide Geschäftsführer und das Personal sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Uns wurde am ersten Abend ein Mitarbeiter zur Verfügung gestellt, der uns in ein marrokanisches Restaurant gefüht und auch wieder zurück gebracht hat. Auf Wunsch wird ein offizieller Guide für die Medina geordert. Mit Vorbestellung bekommt man im Riad ein typisches marrokanisches Abendessen serviert. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir hatten jeweils ein Himmelbett im Zimmer. Von der Terrasse kann man über die Medina blicken.

Das Frühstück ist typisch marrokanisch (sehr süss). Aber es war völlig ok, dass wir unsere Wurst und unseren Käse mitgebracht haben.

We stayed for a week and the staff at the riad were incredibly helpful and kind.Our thanks to Rachid who carefully thought about each day for us -he can arrange 'grand taxis' which get you out of town.Try Meknes and Volubilis.Morrocco's culture is considerably different and hectic but fascinating at the same time. This riad is stunning with beautiful mosaic floors, fountain and cedar doors.It takes your breath away as you walk in! Breakfast is delicious thanks to Zineb and Khadija-the french /morroccan mix is very evident. Never tired of watching Khalid pouring the mint tea so skilfully. Thanks too to Youssef who guided us so well.

Beware of the hassle from young men on the way into the medina and on your return. This is not anything to do with the riad and the staff can advise.

It was a bit cold in the Riad first day..

The staff, hotel manager, was a lot kind. So friendly. The room was fantastically exotic and so moroccan. This riad is a real riad established 1000 years ago. You can see a true moroccan riad. Breakfast was abundant. I just love this riad. Here was one of my best residence during my entire trip experience ever.

Nothing special.

We spent four nights at the riad and the staff was attentive and helpful.

The approach to the riad, the broken pot at the front fdoor, the birds in cages, which the staff has promised to do something about and the bathrooms which need bigger exhaust fans.There was a constant stench in the one attached to our bathroom.

The staff, expecialy the manager, is very helpfull. The Riad is a wonderfull palace beautifully restored. Rooms are fantastic looking on the inner patio. It's a real oasis inside the old medina. During our two weeks travel in Morocco it was the best place we stayed in. We very recommend it.

Although the complicated Medina of Fes, it's not so difficult to find. Inside it you feel like in an Oasis of silent and relax. Peronalized rooms makes them different and fine, keeping the original Marroco style. Staff is very kindly and helpfull, from them you get good answers to all your questions. Highly recommended.

This hotel is a very old restored 14th century Riad, full of beautiful little details. The rooms are all different and full of personality, the staff is truly amazing, and the terrace on top is one of the highest points in the whole city, which gives you an amazing panoramic view. In a city as chaotic and aggressive as Fez, this hotel is an island of peace. The staff is always ready to make you feel at home with a cup of mint tea. And most importantly, they are honest and straightforward, not just trying to squeeze an extra buck out of you, something that IMHO is hard to find in Morocco.

I guess the only thing is that it's a bit hard to find the first time you go there, as Fez is really a maze. In all fairness, we went there without a good map, so maybe it was our own fault. But in the end it's not really a problem, in the worst case you'll need to give a bit of money to someone on the street to guide you there. Once you know where it is, getting to it is quite straightforward.

It's an old rich man's house of many XIV century .. they told house. Anyway it's the best opportunity you can have of sleeping ina real old Marocan house ... almost a museum a piece of art ....

One materasse in one room was far too hard ...

It was the first hotel we stayed at in Morocco during our round trip. Riad was such a wonderful surprise that we were immidiately charmed by muslim culture and architecture. Our room was scented by wooden ornaments and furniture made from real cedar wood. It added truly oriental feel to whole riad. The patio was magnificent with all the tiles and enormous fountain, wooden furniture, and all the ornaments. My husband, an architect, was astonished as was I. During the breakfast, that was trully tastefull and moroccan (the orange juice was like a dream!), we kept looking around and we were amazed by the beautifull details of the riad. It is truly authentic and pristine. Receptionist was kind and full of useful information on exploring town and about real prices in the medina (contrary to turist prices) :), he also arranged pick-up from airport. Rooftop terrace is a true oasis from crazy town of Fes, a place to relax and to watch sunset over the city. We recommend the riad with all our heart! You will not be disapponited, only note that rooms in the ground floor can lack privacy.

First, the site says that all rooms are air conditioned, they are not. Second, it is located in perhaps the worst area. Finally, itis dirty and really not worth the price. Terrible experience!

Very nice and friendly staff, nice architecture, nice rooms.

No parking place because is located in the Old Medina of Fes. Parking near by on the main street, cost 30 MAD/day.

The location is just impossible. We had a very hard time trying to find it surrounded by not so friendly environment in the streets.

The Riad was for us a little peaceful haven in the middle of moody Fes. The patio on top is wonderful and allows a great view of the city. The staff is very nice and helpful. The room we had (Vanille) was large and comfortable. We really enjoyed our 2-nights stay there!

The Riad IS hard to find. Even with the map that we received, I strongly suggest to get someone from the Riad to get you or pay someone in the streets to get you there the first time. We had one diner at the hotel and the price was high, in my opinion, for what we got. The food was good, but not great. The only other thing I would say is that the beds are quite hard. I would still strongly recommend this Riad.

L'accueil et la disponibilité du personnel.

Tout ce que l'on peut attendre d'un ryad au Maroc. Beauté de cette maison familiale typiquement marocaine du xiv très bien rénovée. Extrême gentillesse du personnel. Excellente cuisinière : Zineb. Belle vue de la terrasse. Beaucoup de cachet, chaque chambre et chaque salle de bains est unique et très jolie.

Il y a des progrès à faire dans l'aménagement de la terrasse (chaises longues, fleurs, plantes bien arrosées, etc....). Quelques fautes de goût dans la déco.

La posizione è centrale, dentro la Medina, anche se c'è da fare un pezzo a piedi in salita. Il gestore, Rachid, è molto gentile e disponibile, come pure lo staff

Le stanze danno tutte su un cortile interno a cielo aperto ma in realtà chiuso in alto da una vetrata, quindi non c'è ricambio d'aria

El personal muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar. La comida exquisita y abundante.

El interior del edificio, su mobiliario, y por supuesto su patio, impresionante obra de arte hislámico. Preciosas las habitaciones.

El desayuno, mucho pan, falta algo de dulce y fruta o frutos secos, tan típicos de la cocina arábe. Los baños daban a un patio compartido con la cocina, por lo que entraba olor de la cocina.
