My wife and I were on our honeymoon period, and we have been looking for a package which suited us and after a couple of months we found this Riad (we have also been looking at the 5* resorts outside in the new medina). We fell in love with this place! After reading the reviews on tripadvisor we were even more keen with this lovely guest house. The Riad is located just 5-10min walk outside the Famous square (Jemaa El Fna), and 15mins drive from the airport, but it is not the easiest of places to find as all the streets and alleys do look the same. We landed in morocco at 1am at night and the owner of the Riad organised a Taxi and food for us on our first night, which I thought it was excellent customer service. From that day until the end of my honeymoon I received excellent customer service, from all the staff and land lady even though some of the employees weren't able to speak good English my wife and I were still able to communicate. Our room was a superior deluxe room which was very spacious, and very warming. What can I say, if you visit Morocco for the 1st time try and stay at this place, because I can guarantee you will not find a more hospital place like this in the Old town of Medina!

Houda (the manager) was very friendly as were the rest of the staff including Jamal and Majda. They were very helpful and were always on hand to answer our queries. Houda even gave my wife a rose when we left. The room we had (superior double) was very spacious and clean with good facilities including TV, AC, a safe and comfortable bed and sofa. We were provided with free tea during our stay which was an added bonus. The breakfast was very nice and varied including fried eggs, yoghurt, french toast and cake. The riad was in a peaceful area and had a relaxing atmosphere which is what we wanted for the last few days of our trip. It was close enough to Jamaa El Fna, about a 15 minute walk with souks on the way which was nice.

The main reason we could not give this riad a better rating was the location. It felt as if it was in the middle of nowhere and it was difficult to find and to get through as taxis cannot go directly there, they drop you about a 10-15 minute walk away from the riad and there are no directions or signs to help locate the riad. We ended up having to pay a local boy to show us the way. As you can imagine this was a tiring experience with all our luggage walking through the narrow souks and alleys. We also had to make sure we did not get back too late in the evenings as we were worried about getting lost and the shops nearby closed early at 9pm. Because of the location we ended up organising our taxi to the airport through the riad and had to pay someone extra to help take our luggage to the pick up point of the raid’s driver. This cost us three times the amount compared to getting a taxi on our own but we chose this option following our bad experience of trying to get to the riad initially. However it should be noted that this extra cost is mitigated by the fact you do not have to pay ‘the city tax’ (2.50 Euros per person per night) that other riads make you pay.

Everything about this Riad was lovely! The staff went out of their way to make everything perfect for us including a special Christmas dinner 'Morrocan-style'! While Medina can be a bit overwhelming, the Riad provided a very relaxing oasis away from the craziness. We found it to be extremely peaceful and very homely. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic and the staff was engaging and helpful despite some language barriers. I highly recommend this place!

We we're 2 young ladies travelling together for a girls weekend - our first visit to Marrakech. The lady who is in charge, (I am sorry I can not remember her name) couldn't have been more helpful and informative. Anyone staying must ask her to take you to her hammam, an unbelievable experience - the highlight of our trip. The location is fabulous, seems a bit daunting when you arrive on how to remember finding it. It is very straight forward really. We felt very safe even walking the streets after midnight. We didm;t eat in the Riad so I can not comment. I think i read a review saying the Riad was a little noisy. We did not find this to be the case - if anything the opposite and beautifully peaceful. We will definitely return.
