Riad Bougainvilliers was everything we had hoped it would be. It was a beautiful peaceful haven in the madness that is Marrakesh. The staff couldnt do enough for us.....we were told that it was"our home" whilst we were there....and that I was "the Queen" and my partner was "The King" for the duration of the stay. We stayed in two different rooms....both were gorgeous with feature bathrooms. The roof top terrace was a lovely tranquil place to sunbathe. The breakfast was a delight.....and the traditional hammam we had at the riad was brilliant. We would thoroughly recommend staying here!
If you want your trip to Morrocco to be special then this is a great place to go. Really close to the main square but a little bit away from the main streets which makes it a great place to escape to at the end of a busy day. The roof top terrace is a lovely place to sit early evening and all of the staff at the Rhiad we're absolutely fantastic! Great service and advice about where to go and what to see made our trip a truely excellent experience. Thank you very much!
Changed from another Riad in Marrakech and was so pleased with this choice. Recommended to us by another couple. Just beautiful and full of beautiful art as well.
The male staff
The fact that we had to walk to the hotel and could not get the car right to the door
Staff were excellent, so helpful and friendly, food authentic and very good, rooms beautifully decorated in the Moroccan style. Situated close to the main square so whatever you wanted is a short walk away, and yet it was quiet and relaxing in the riad.
This lovely riad is right in the centre of the walled city - walking distance to the main market. Lovely people, authentic accomodation, clean and well maintained.
Wifi was a bit intermittent.
It's a really nice place. The staff are lovely - but you have to look for them! Nothing is forthcoming. You have to ask all the time.
We really felt that there is so much potential which is being ignored.
Staff were great, Wifi was great, Location was easy to get to, close walk to the main square.
I have been to Marrakech at least 6 times and this was by far the best place to stay. I know the locations of the souk well and it is very, very well situated. The staff was so friendly and kind. Wi-fi was spotty, but that is just Morocco, the staff would fix it immediately when they could. You just need to communicate your needs and they take care of it! They made a special dinner for us (allergy issues) and really the price was honest and fair. We had also stayed at a hotel in the hivernage..a fancy hotel, that was not worth the $ one bit. We wish we had just stayed at the riad!
Members of staff are so nice! The owner Philippe takes special care of all the residents and can share useful advices on Marrakech 'to-do-list'. Managers Monseff and Yassine are always for you to help and organize your stay at its best. Chef Hannane is such a lovely lady you will remember not only for good cooking but also for making you feel like home. Overall, this place is an excellent place to visit the old town and to relax. I came home with a lot of positive impressions of Marrakech, yet with clean head, feeling relieved and inspired. I guess it wouldn't be that good without the Riad experience.
The swimming pool is not actually for swimming. Also, the car cannot come directly to the Riad, you need to walk through the souk.
Lovely Riad in an excellent location as it was easy to get to the square and to get out to taxis. Comfortable, large king bed and sizeable room. All very clean. We had to leave too early so didn't get to try the breakfast, so not sure what that was like.
Our room was upstairs and second from the end. There was an annoying refrigerator sound that came on and off during the night.
Magnificent position, really close to the Jema al Fna (5/7 minutes walking) and quite easy to find. Nice surroundings around the hotel. Incredible and really helpful staff. Really nice terrace to drink something or to enjoy the sun. Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful Riad, in general. I would really reccomend it and I would come back, definitely.
A little bit dark rooms, Wi-fi not working in the rooms and a little bit noisy because of the shape of the structure with a central courtyard and all the rooms facing on it.
Charming Riad close to Jemaa el Fna, offering a quiet place from the buzz of the city. We enjoyed our stay here, also due to the very friendly staff.
Everything -the location, tasteful decor, restful ambience but most of all the extremely helpful and friendly staff.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was delightful, comfortable and particularly loved the balcony and tiled bath. The location was perfect - so close to the main square.
Fantastic staff and great location. Lovely room, good shower and comfy bed!
