The rooms are unique. The beds are comfortable. The water pressure is good. Wifi is good and available throughout the building. The location is close to one of the main streets of the Medina. You should arrange to have them meet you at the the Blue Gate to led you to the Riad to make things easier. If you do go yourself, there are signs leading you to the Riad. Just remember to look up. The entrance is now signed and numbered properly. The staff can organize tours for you. While we were there, one of the guest was scammed on a leather jacket that she brought. It was made of of vinyl. The staff helped her work with the local police locate the sales person, file a report, and get her money back.

They don't speak English, but they do speak Spanish (and of course French), so we spoke Spanish with them. The bathrooms are dimly light. If you do use them to organize a tour, we would suggest having the staff write down all the what the tour cost and every detail included in the tour on paper, so there is no miscommunication. We had a problem with a tour they organized for us to Chefchaouen. During the booking process, we were told the tour would include a driver and a local English speaking guide. We had asked multiple times to verify and every time they replied, yes, a guide is included. So the next day in the middle of the drive to Chefchaouen, the driver asked if we had a guide. We told him that the Riad had arranged for a guide, but the driver said that we only had transportation. We called the Riad and they said that the tour was only transportation and no guide was included. We argued over the phone, but were going in circles and getting nowhere. After a while, the driver received a call from the Riad and told us that they would arrange a guide for us. We figured the riad was doing us right, but when we returned the staff was still very adamant that the tour was just for transportation only and therefore, we were wrong. After a long 12 hour day out, the last thing we wanted to do was argue again over the situation.

Very optimal position, at the beginning of the medina, and, trust me, you'll need all the luck possible to figure out a path inside!

The location was easy to find, just off the main artery that winds its way down the medina (as you're walking down from the Blue Gate turn left at the Clock Tower). Amazing rooftop views, the attentive receptionist speaks Spanish very well and is always helpful and hospitable, nice breakfast. This was our favorite riad during our 2 week stay in Morocco, mostly because it was so intimate in the cozy living room area that we always had all to ourselves at night. And the best part is that it's right around the corner from the top-rated "The Clock" restaurant. Unlike most riads, where you feel as though you're interfering in the family's living space, this riad makes you feel totally comfortable and at home. A peaceful place, indeed.

Twin room was tight, as a previous poster stated, but if you take your clothes out of your suitcase there are plenty of shelves to stack them on. Then you can store your cases under the bathroom sink area, no prob!

The position of the riad was great and quite easy to find. The room was big enough and clean even if a bit dark.I recommend to book rooms on the 2nd floor. The staff was friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast.

Nice and clean riad, with large rooms, located near to the main gate to the medina. The people from the staff were kind and welcoming (though they're not fluent with English, which does not facilitate the communication).

Although there is heating, our room was quite difficult to warm up.

It is clean and near the main gate of Medina - the Blue Gate.

The staff doesn't speak english! We stayed in the twin room on the first floor which was so small that there was hardly space on the floor for 2 suitcases. Low cellings on the stairs (I bumped my head twice actually). We have booked 2 trips with the Riad and on the last day cheked the prices with local turned out that Riad charged us almost double as the normal prices! Would not book that Riad again.

Staff were massively helpful directing us to the Riad through the taxi driver, arranged an official guide at short notice, took us to reasonable priced local restaurant when requested, overall very friendly and helpful.

We recently returned from a trip to Morocco and Fes was our favourite city, which was partly due to the staff at Riad Idrissides. Both Amina and Khadija made us feel at home and like a local, were very helpful to organise trip for us since our original plans fell through, were very accomodating in our change in dates that we needed to stay at the Riad and went out of their way to recommend us to restaurants that had great food but were off the beaten tourist track.

I would not fault our stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting a good value and centrally located stay in Fes.
